I'm from the middle of the USA and have been touring by bike, canoe, backpack kayak and skis touring since the late 1960's. One thing that can be said about packing all the equipment on any long trip is the storage changes from place to place during the trip. Always searching for the perfect place to store everything. It is a process of evolution, depending on the temperature, rain, snow, wind, number of hours of day light. The less stuff you bring the better the trip.. Not so much to saving weight but you soon realize how little you really need to be a nomad. Enjoy the ride and never stop traveling. When you have children make sure they start traveling with you before they can walk. even if it means they sit on top of your backpack and hang on for dear life.

Hello from Bend OR. Nice set up. Been doing some touring, and bike packing on the singles and our two tandems. Just switched to a SRAM 12 speed with a 10x52 cassette. Really nice for the loaded climbs. Safe travels.
I always find it interesting to see how other people load their bikes. I really like your full frame bag, been debating investing in a made to measure one to maximise space. Think you’ve sold it for me. Hope this week on the bike is treating you kindly!
Nice setup!! would love to see periodic updates. Also another video on the camera equipment. You could save some weight by looking into a superfast multi-port USB-C charger. Anker or UGreen make good ones smaller than your laptop charger's size.

Good setup man over time your setup will evolve for sure .. takes time to dail it in .. my advice is pack each bag as a category exsample dont mix and match gear use bag for one subject .. one bag for food and cooking ie the kitchen one bag for complete sleep system including base camp clothes means you just unpack one bag seting up camp ..
Keep your rain gear you never know the weather even if hotter countries.. plus shipping it back will cost money and shipping it back to you again will cost money and customs import tax not worth sending it back
Is the Backpack really 100 % waterproof over a long time? I think Tristan mentioned some restrictions of the Expedbag in this regard. Otherwise it seems very nice and also capable for hiking
Yeah i had that mini sawyer for years pain in the ass that small bag that came with is useless .. adveice get a 3 litres befree gravilty system it brillant ps your air pad is good have one for 5 years still working good
Hey, so far it seems fully waterproof after heavy rainfall. I've had a couple of times where my bike just layed down during the night, and there were big puddles of water on the framebag in the morning.. without any leakage. I wouldn't lay it down with the zipper side on top though, because then it'll probably not be 100% waterproof!
