  • "It looks like a chest strap/heart-rate monitor but it is in fact a portable ECG monitor that records the ECG directly and sends that information directly to your device."

I have had one of these since late 2022. I have liked it but it has some issues.
    1. The EKG reports lots of noise and "other rhythm" when I am running. With so much noise I am not sure if my "other rhythm" areas are of concern or if it is just not able to read the EKG well. When I look at the problem areas, it just looks noisy more than having any sort of rhythm issues. But I am not expert. I have tightened the strap and it isn't moving around, but I still have this issue. I am also wearing a cotton short so static electricity doesn't seem to be the issue
    2. When you use any sort of synthetic clothing, it seems to interfere quite a bit with the signal and I get lots of dropouts. For example, when I am cycling with my Garmin computer, the heart rate value goes away and the Garmin loses connection to the X2 several times.
    3. The only time it seems to do well is when I am riding my bicycle trainer indoors with a cotton t-shirt.
    4. It can be quite buggy, especially after a forced firmware upgrade. Lately the device won't even charge. I plug the charging cable in and the screen on the X2 says "charging", yet the level of the charge goes down, not up. So I assume that after a little over 1 year of use, the X2 will no longer work
    5. The customer support is a bit lacking. They generally respond to emails but often the responses have been less than helpful. When there have been promises of escalating the issue to a higher level tech support and that I will hear from them shortly, I typically never hear from them again.
    6. They tell you that you shouldn't charge the device with any USB charger that is capable of providing anything more than 5V and 0.5A. So essentially you can only charge it (according to their instructions) by pulling it in to the USB port of a computer.
If these issues were ironed out I would think the device is worth the very high cost. But over $400 for a little over a year of use that was far from being problem free is a bit much to me.

Did you get yours free . There s no mention of it moving all over your chest .like the watches do not get a accurate reading .also the app will not download on all phone's. Harts problems are no joke .

What about that 100 or so pounds monthly subscription? The app?
