Front Sway Bar Link Update: • TERAFLEX UPDATE | Sway...
The TeraFlex BU Renegade 1.5” Lift Kit gives your BU Renegade an altitude adjustment for more backcountry explorations without compromising highway ride or handling. Unlike other kits, the offset front IFS (independent front suspension) strut spacers in our BU 1.5” Lift Kit account for the mounting angle of the factory struts to ensure proper camber and caster angles up front. Out back the rear strut spacers and angled rear lower control arm spacers correct rear camber to ensure suspension alignment falls into factory specs. This kit also maintains correct wheel offset.
    • Fits all BU Renegade models
    • Fits up to a 28.5” tire (225/65R17)
    INCLUDES:
    • Two (2) 1.5” offset front IFS strut spacers,
    • Two (2) front sway bar quick disconnects
    • Two (2) 1.5” rear strut spacers
    • Two (2) 1” rear lower control arm spacers
    • Four (4) rear subframe spacers
    • Two (2) driveline spacers
    • Two (2) exhaust spacers
    • Two (2) brake line spacers
    • All necessary hardware
    FEATURES & BENEFITS
    • Accounts for factory strut angles to maintain correct camber and caster up front and camber around back as well as correct wheel offset
    • Spacers are constructed from 6061-T6 billet aluminum to resist corrosion from the elements
    • Eco-Guard mounting hardware passes 1,000-hour salt spray corrosion test
    • Only kit to include front sway bar quick disconnects

@teraflexsuspensions after installing this I have a few things id like to point out, First off install went pretty simple.. no huge hickups other than lining the rear struts up to the spacer blocks and getting the bolts started straight was a bit of a pain but nothing huge. On the trailhawk, That little skid plate over the carrier bearing does need spacers.. I found with it installed there is a slight engine resonance or vibration carried into the cabin. I removed the plate and its gone so im currently trying to source some nice spacers for it so I can get it installed again. Lastly, not a huge deal but to me it makes the kit look cheap and appearance wise im not super fond of is the rear axle carrier spacers should be made the same size as the tubing that's there. I believe its 3" but once installed you can see them from the side of the vehicle and they just look super small.. I like the look of how stealthy the kit is and those spacers make it look like someone just grabbed some left over blocks of aluminum and stuffed them in there. Aside from that im super happy with the kit and glad to have gained a touch more hight so I can get a little more aggressive tire under the wells. As for some of the people commenting, the added ground clearance is nice for the cost of the kit... Im shooting for a 235 65 17 all terrain tire so once I get them installed I can edit this post on issues with rubbing if any. The sway bar disconnects are nice and they do slide on and off firm but smooth (make sure to grease them) the pins that hold them on look ugly but work well, I may change them out to the pin with the locking sprung ring on it just to simplify it a touch more. The resting pin without wheel spacers in my opinion is in a sorta bad spot... at full lock with stock wheels and tires theres only about 1.5 inchs of clearance between the tire and pin... maybe with a fatter tire and no spacers this may be an issue???? not super sure . You will need an alignment I promise you that but that's a given. Ride quality is un touched and rides exact same. Now if only someone would come up with a rear axle relocation kit to move that damn rear tire back a inch and clear up some space for bigger tires

I had a 95 wrangler yj for 17 years w no air etc. it road like a log wagon is why I got rid of it. Now I have a 03 GC and a 2019 renegade. Don’t know if I could ever get a wrangler again because of the ride but it was a great running vehicle. Had 360k when I sold it. My GC has 273k so I’m hoping this renegade runs half as long as my other two.

Looks like an excellent kit. How come the rear subframe needs to be lowered? The rear is the same strut type and the half shafts appear to be longer than the fronts. Doesn't seem like there should be a limitation there.

instructions show the needed tools list. shows a 36mm socket. For what? I've read through the instructions, but can't find it's purpose. Is this a typo in the instructions, because the 22mm you mention in the video for the subframe bolts isn't listed.

I haven't installed this lift on my Renegade Trailhawk yet but I have noticed in other Renegade lift videos, folks loosen the front axle nuts (36mm) to keep from tearing CV boots during install. They didn't cover this in this video but I plan to take the precaution on my install. Hope this helps.

people like you just don't even get it in their head,do they?!
Renegade-owners never buy one to have a true offroader, because it isn't.
Maybe offroaders should be happy with 'jeep' making an suv which is more capable then most in it's class, with actually hardly having any competition...and meanwhile upping the sale-figures for the brand to keep that ''useless' offroader in the lineup in the first place. If it wasn't for the suv's, the wrangler would have been out of production for years now.
