No one can do it really consistently. It's a really incostintent trick. Also the top speedrunners needs to do at least 5 to 10 attempts before they get it. At least this is in the first minute of the run so you can reset more easily
There is something to note about this. This run is timed without loads, while the TAS is timed with loads (the TAS was also done on GameCube which has significantly longer loads). If you removed loads from the TAS and started timing at the same time as this run, the TAS would probably be a sub 30.
Which version of the game is this? I think it may be the PC version of the game and if it is, is the PC version glitchier than the other versions? Because I don’t believe you’re able to do these kinds of glitches on the console versions
I can't exactly tell, but there's an Out of Bounds area that keeps warping Gloria back. By putting a car in the spot where Gloria respawns, she gets flung to the end of the Level...?
There are a few new things compared to the old 33:36. The most notable new thing is the new warp in Gloria's section in New York Street Chase which saves over 40 seconds. There are a few other time saves, such as the 2nd wall skip in Coming of Age but nothing as big as that new warp. We also found a way to mostly eliminate 2 instances of run killing RNG so that has helped out a bunch in the background. A thing to note is that the original 33:36 was timed with loads while this 31:56 was timed without loads, meaning that the time jump isn't as big as it looks. The 33:36 without loads clocked in at 32:55 (while this run was a 32:43 with loads). The reason why the splits say "32:25" as the final time before the end of the run is because that was Chris' previous PB (33:10 with loads), which was never uploaded to UA-cam.
