Yeah Chris' skill is amazing, but the beats are mostly really lacking. Very rarely are they on the same level as the lyrics

After having watched a considerable number of these freestyle rap videos, I have yet to come across one where the improvised beat (instead of a beat from a DJ) is a good fit.
But doesn't that make it a good beat for the entire bit? clean cut white British guy rapping and doing it well
One of vids he has a beatboxer from the crowd help him since his phone died or something.
The guy did pretty well and was able to adapt during the rap too I think.

This was really solid with such consistent flow. I think its most impressive when you just hard cut into a serious rap with consistent flow throughout. It takes people by surprise and subverts their expectations the best.

I came here to say your rhymes were tight but your mate did you no favours with that beat - but I see it's been said over and over. Give him a piece of your mind. But best not to do it in rhyme cos he'll just bury it under another shit beat that sounds like welding.

I rekon its part of the deal, he gets prime and regular spots at the club if the band can join in from time to time. Why else would he keep using them if the comments constantly advise not to use them
