This video has been produced to honor a dear friend of us, David Fraher.
The song in the video was not part of our repertoire, We didn't think to perform it and we even didn't think to share it online.
David and his team liked it and shared it on Arts Midwest youtube channel.
Surprisingly the video turned to be our second most viewed video.
It reached over a half million views and got lots of nice comments.
So perhaps it is the time for this video to be shared on our youtube channel.
An old Israeli song performed by the pioneering youth movements that spread during the 1940s and 1950s.( • שיר עד - ודוד יפה עיני... )
lyrics from Jewish sources. - The book of Samuel 1, composers: Matityahu Shalem, Eliyahu Gamliel.
Thanks to Avri Borochov who made this song fresh, cool and attractive once again.
    __________________________________________________________________
    King David -
David is described in the Hebrew Bible as the second king of the United Kingdom of Israel and Judah. In the biblical narrative, David is a young shepherd who first gains fame as a musician and later by killing Goliath.
Historians of the Ancient Near East agree that David probably existed around 1000 BCE, but that there is little that can be said about him as a historical figure.
David is richly represented in post-biblical Jewish written and oral tradition, and is discussed in the New Testament. Early Christians interpreted the life of Jesus in light of the references to the Messiah and to David; Jesus is described as being descended from David. David is discussed in the Quran and figures in Islamic oral and written tradition as well. The biblical character of David has inspired many interpretations in fictional literature over centuries.

Standing up, Paul motioned with his hand and said: “Fellow Israelites and you Gentiles who worship God, listen to me! The God of the people of Israel chose our ancestors; he made the people prosper during their stay in Egypt; with mighty power he led them out of that country; for about forty years he endured their conduct in the wilderness; and he overthrew seven nations in Canaan, giving their land to his people as their inheritance. All this took about 450 years. “After this, God gave them judges until the time of Samuel the prophet. Then the people asked for a king, and he gave them Saul son of Kish, of the tribe of Benjamin, who ruled forty years. After removing Saul, he made David their king. God testified concerning him: ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.’ “From this man’s descendants God has brought to Israel the Savior Jesus, as he promised. Before the coming of Jesus, John preached repentance and baptism to all the people of Israel. As John was completing his work, he said: ‘Who do you suppose I am? I am not the one you are looking for. But there is one coming after me whose sandals I am not worthy to untie.’ “Fellow children of Abraham and you God-fearing Gentiles, it is to us that this message of salvation has been sent. The people of Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize Jesus, yet in condemning him they fulfilled the words of the prophets that are read every Sabbath. Though they found no proper ground for a death sentence, they asked Pilate to have him executed. When they had carried out all that was written about him, they took him down from the cross and laid him in a tomb. But God raised him from the dead, and for many days he was seen by those who had traveled with him from Galilee to Jerusalem. They are now his witnesses to our people. “We tell you the good news: What God promised our ancestors he has fulfilled for us, their children, by raising up Jesus. As it is written in the second Psalm: “ ‘You are my son; today I have become your father.’ God raised him from the dead so that he will never be subject to decay. As God has said, “ ‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings promised to David.’ So it is also stated elsewhere: “ ‘You will not let your holy one see decay.’ “Now when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his ancestors and his body decayed. But the one whom God raised from the dead did not see decay. “Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses. Take care that what the prophets have said does not happen to you: “ ‘Look, you scoffers, wonder and perish, for I am going to do something in your days that you would never believe, even if someone told you.’”
      Acts 13:16‭-‬41 NIV
      bible.com/ bible/111/act.13.16-41. NIV
Repent! And be baptized everyone of you, in the name of Yeshua Christ, for the forgiveness of your sins and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit!

6 And it came to pass as they came, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women came out of all cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet king Saul, with tabrets, with joy, and with instruments of musick.
7 And the women answered one another as they played, and said, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands.

      Oui comme St Paul appotre
      Mdrrrrrrrrrrr

The Bible is a reliable collection of historical events that were written by eye witnesses during the lifetime of eye witnesses they report supernatural events that took place in fulfillment of specific prophecies and claim that their writings are divine rather than human origin.
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.”
      ‭‭Romans‬ ‭1:16‬ ‭
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

The fear of the lord is beginning of knowledge.
All the treasure, wisdom and knowledge is hidden in Christ.
You cannot know anything at all unless you start with god
You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” John 8:32.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

      Acts 13: 16‭-‬41 NIV
      bible.com/ bible/111/act.13.16-41.NIV
Repent! And be baptized everyone of you, in the name of Yeshua Christ, for the forgiveness of your sins and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit!

Thanks for this beautiful song. The english subtitles help me understand but the way it is sung in hebrew it just has so much emotion and energy. Love it.

As far back as I can remember, I've always thought that the tonalities which make up Israeli/Herbrew music are the most magical of all. Even without the words, God's presence SCREAMS from this music & all like it! It is the sound of love & creation itself, and it transcends time. One of the best things I've ever heard.
    Peace unto you!!!

And after 3 years on painkillers, due to inflammation of the joints, I reached 14 places, and that I barely took steps in exacerbations, it happened when for 2 weeks there was acute pain with almost any movement, even it was difficult and painful to turn over from side to side, and God after the baptism of the Holy Spirit, in prayer in other languages, in Propika By His Power, in His Presence pulled out very quickly! Praise the Lord! Now I'm running

then you're mistaken this is not Messianic music. Read the translation FFS, its about King David, nothing to do with your "Messiah".
