Inaccurate. Spanish conquistadors indeed converted to all native tribes to Catholicism when they stablished in the "New Spain"
@@miguelangelcosiorangel2617 Fun fact! Nahuatl was the second language to get a written out grammar (first one was Spanish) and the first language to have two grammar books! Conquistadors were really into converting, so they made great efforts to learn native languages.

McClain is beyond legendary. He realized right away that ELO means nothing in tournaments and so has forgone ranked entirely no different than any other top 100 player to focus exclusively on how to best people in tournament settings. Truly the hero we all deserve and need

I'm not sure how Age Does it, but in a lot of games, "unranked" is still secretly keeping an MMR for the players so that absurd matchups don't occur. I know that this is the case in Rocket League at least.
DOTA2 does this as well.
I like how red maxxed up the infantry armour before getting any other blacksmith upgrades, only to never make a single infantry unit
That's actually the malay bonus hard at work so glad all the infantry both received all the best armour and weren't even conscripted

Being the kid who read the whole manual because i loved the italicized history facts under all the units and research definitions. It amazes me that so many people still don't know what certain researches do. Especially with the roll-over mouse help activated. But I also don't play super competitively either haha

As an aside, low elo and mid elo are my favorite content. Wacky strategies too. Pro games are interesting, but there's already so much content from those players.
I think a neat idea for a game/series would be to take a random game state of a LEL game and have two pros finish it out. You only have 30 vills at the hour mark, but also 4 layers of fortified walls and have experienced zero pressure from your opponent.

I remember the team game. It was on stream and McClains Teammate got Tower rushed. McClain was low on vills and helped his teammate at his base. The other team build a wonder and McClain took his Canon Galleys and attacked the other team and finally killed the wonder, before he got destroyed at home 11

I only ever play Quick Play 2s, 3s and 4s. T90 once said you have a 50/50 chance winning a game in ranked against your own elo. We prefer to be surprised by the skill level, you never know what to expect. It's especially fun when you come up against people who are slightly worse than you so they put up a fight but you can still flex on them a little lol
50% on average. actually it depends on your elo. since your elo change depends on the opponents' elo and your own elo is mostly stable that means your winrate is adjusted to the bell curve.
mid elo is about 50%, high elo is higher, low elo lower.
if your elo is 1000 and the most players have 1100 while only a couple have 900 then you'll fight 1100 more often than 900. with 50% winrate in this situation you would steadily climb to 1100 (you gain more per win than you lose per defeat).
This McClain series is really coming into fruition. Lol I have to say that I very much look forward to watching these McClain videos

I would love wonder and relic victory to be featured as an option similar to choosing maps. Maybe we can vote on one alternative winning strategy and we have the option to star or ban it at the same time we do it to maps.
This makes me feel a lot better about my own play.

Gotta love how a player has all this area he chopped out of the wood that the other player isn't going anywhere near and he has a light cav setup with 20k wood and like 10k food in the bank and he doesn't just decide to make a handful of stables up there and mass a huge blob of cav
I play QP mostly, because comp is scary, and I lose a lot by relic victory. I miss the countdown and usually get surprised by the loss, or I just can't get into their base to get the relics. I absolutely hate it!

We have actually seen a McClain win before. At the end of the 60 Elo video you showed the one win you could find in his history. There he used Spanish cannon galleons to scare his opponent into surrendering.
for some reason in both AoE 2DE and the other AoE 2 i have on steam, my trebs do not auto attack... ever... and idk how to fix it.
i don't click any hotkey to make them do anything other than pack/unpack. but beyond that, they just sit there unless i click on units....

If I were a little more courageos I would play just like McClain. I always AFK, try to build a little pretty base and all, love doing defense only but the thing is I actually win games a little even playing that "badly" because I kind of want to be at least 800 elo... since the games are more fun and "at least a little challenging". But If I were FREE! FREE! I would be McClain.

I think you would be surprised by how many people use quick play. There are fair amount of players like me with kids that play quick play because finding the time to stay in shape is hard. I even played black forest in a quick play team game. He memed with Japanese on African Clearing and made 50 fishing ships!

but i didnt know ppl actually played QP, figured it was 90% r*nked, and 10% custom lobbies (i play the latter).

I'd also do the monk only slow grow rush, where you can convert higher than your pop space, and the whole goal is to turtle until your missionaries are established and unstoppable. Then it's the slow, satisfying wall push forward. 😂😂

I want McClain to use scenario editor to make a campaign map. Feels like it would be super detailed.
I think the bombard cannon was able to path through all the units because it was part of a formation with those units; which I guess is something you'd only see in low elo legends.
Again what upgrades for conq? I know Bloodlines n husbandry. What about blacksmith? Do we get archer upgrades for armour or cav ?
