I disagree with kdammers11! "City" is a happy song! It talks about riding on the rails which is far better than being on "land" with its "rusted automobiles." As Steve says, it's a "magic carpet made of steel" and it is!! I remember riding the rails (sorry, Steve, I rode the Chicago and North Western!) and I always felt happy there. Riding the train was an experience not just transportation! It always took away my sadness - "disappearing railroad blues!" Judy's rendition is very good - especially her charming "train whistle" at the end of the song!!
Heh, this is clearly a cover of Arlo Guthrie's version, not Steve Goodman's version. Slightly disappointing, but honestly, Judy can do no wrong. This was a lot of fun. :) Still prefer Steve's version, but no reason not to enjoy multiple renditions!
A GREAT performance; Judy at her very best!! Russ's piano was brilliant!
I love her voice!
Judy trumps this song. She nails it down!!!! Go Judy “ sweet Judy Blue Eyes” ⭕️❌⭕️❌🎹🎹😘😘
Happy Birthday!
Que riquiña!!
Vigour: that is the freedom of America!
Wow!!!! Now that was MUSIC!!!!!
We need more female singers like Judy. I love her voice. This song in a example of a hell of a set of pipes.....

Judy is great live. Unique. If you are looking for unique, check out my EP "Heart Walk" on UA-cam. Thanks!

I have to disagree. The content of the song is sad. Much as I generally like Ms. Collins, this version does the song an injustice.
For sure, she's out of key like crazy
Good singer, but can not sing country.
The best version of this song is by Barbara Dickson.
Song by Steve Goodman. #1.
Highwaymen did a good job. It’s just a great song….
