Bought this case 5 days ago. I am actually the first person to own this case here in Bangladesh. Couldn't be happier with the overall build quality, functionality and performance of the H500M. Great job Cooler Master. And here's hoping we don't have to see a H500X/Y/Z come out for a while! 😂
It was tricky, the PSU I bought had thicker cables than I anticipated, but it's done. Z390 system bright and beautiful using the Cooler Master ML240R. I love it. Great job, CM. My one suggestion would be to give the cable management side more space. I couldn't fit the ARGB controller from the ML240R on that side, and I gotta invest in some long, individually sleeved ATX and CPU cables. As a side note, the ML240R keeps my overclocked 8700k at 60 under load and 28 idle. Great AIO cooler.
I've owned this case for 3 years now, and it's been excellent at staying quiet, keeping my parts cool, and mostly staying dust free. The only other case i'd consider other than this would be the Fractal Torrent, but I think the HM500 has it beat in aesthetics. If you have a beefy system, don't use the glass front panel, go with mesh or you're choking the glorious 200mm fans.
I'm with you - got this case on backorder and I currently have the NH D15s with the Black Chromax covers and fans in my current case. Love my Define C but cannot wait to get everything into this H500M. NH D15 is the best.
Cooler Master, please if you can answer this it would make very happy Question about the Fans, i ordered 2x 200mm Cooler master fans on the Top of this case, am i supposed to have the airflow Down or upwards? on your Cooler Master MasterCase H500P video, they have the airblow downwards - but at my local computer store they said it would make sense to blow the air upwards instead or it would be distracting the airflow - wich is correct way? wich setup has tempatures lower?

I have a question about the case. I have a tenative build plan with the ml360r aio, the case, and a msi b450 carbon ac board. Will the hub and the aio work off of one argb header? FYI, your accent isn't a problem at all.
Yes, you can hook it up to both the included controller or motherboard. On the controller you have 2 additional argb headers that you can even split with the splitter that comes with the AIO
About to finally pull the trigger on this case, but I have one question. I'm seeing & reading conflicting things regarding the clearance up top for radiator & fan mounting. I see you have your fans on the inside mounted to the radiator, but other installs using the same AIO you have state that you have to mount the fans on top on the outside of the case (under the glass). I have already purchased the Cooler Master ML360R and planned to get three more fans to set it up in a push/pull config. Is a push/pull config possible up top in this case?
Not building until Xmas. Currently waiting on GPU, AIO, PSU & CPU. I’m going with the ROG Ryujin 360 instead and I’m adding some Phanteks Halos to the included Noctua fans...so I’m hoping it fits. The VRM section on the Maximus Formula is sort of large, but I’m hopeful. I want to keep the Noctua fans, but I still want some bling lol. I’ll keep you posted.
@@Topless_Stang ehi man, if you want to mount your AIO fans inside the frame (below the AIO) you can use the offset position in order to achieve good clearance from your motherboard, otherwise my suggestion would be to mount the fans over the bracket in a pull configuration. Especially with the Halos on top of them they will look amazing from the top glass panel :D
RiftDM thanks for the heads up...I didn’t know I would have much of an option with a 360mm cooler. I have since changed coolers...I picked up a Asus ROG Ryujin. The measurements should be the same though. I’m using Halos inside on the three 120mm fans on the radiator and also using another Halo on my gpu radiator fan. I planned to use cooler master 120 ARGB fans on the outside of the bracket up top. I wanted push/pull plus brighter lights on the top of the case. Now I wonder if I should do that since the fans I would be using for push/pull don’t match at all 🤷🏾♂️
Just bought this case couple days ago and waiting for it to come in. I bought a seasonic thousand-watt gold that power supply happens to have thin cables so management should be super easy. Video I would like to see you guys do is testing with air cooling only and the difference between using one or two outtakes in the rear only as opposed to one in the rear(that didn't sound right) and top exhaust. What is better conducive for this case. 2 top exhaust suck the cool air out too quickly before it reaches the CPU or is it better to add an additional fan in the back only and leave the top just for letting air escape naturally through the vets
Coolermaster please make a version with the mesh top panel because its glass, what if someone is installing radiator in the top, you dont want the hot air back in the system it needs somewhere to escape. Also in the updated version can you provide a better controller.
Thanks for this, but you don't explain how to actually remove the front panel, only the glass/mesh panel from the front panel. I cannot find a way to remove the large front panel that houses the glass/mesh options. There are no visible screws or tabs. I don't want to break the front panel. Does it slide out, up or down? Do you just insert a wedge/screwdriver and yank it out?
@@JohnK-117 Iirc it just took a bit of force, which made me uncomfortable but I got it done. I think if you take the glass panel off you can reach inside and release some of the clips yourself. Bad memory though, so don't count on that too much.

Cant see the point of a glass panel if your cable management is hidden by steel covers, if you are looking at steel and not cables then why not use a steel panel instead of glass?
I have this case. I don’t know where to plug in the argb mother board connector in gigabyte designate x299 board. The board has d-led and rgb pins which are all 4 pins but the argb connector in this case isn’t 4 pin.. please help
@@JamesMarlonBorja that board does not support addressable rgb, only normal rgb. I suggest you hook the controller up to the USB port on your motherboard and use the Masterplus+ software if you want full controll of the ARGB fans. How do you fit the AIO at the top of the case? On your website it specifically states that the maximum thickness clearance for top AIOs is 43mm. Every CM AIO is at least 52mm with the radiator and fans which are both on in the video... am I missing something? Will the ML240R fit underneath the top mounting bracket or what? Every video I've seen on this case (except this one) shows the fans and radiator being on separate sides of the mounting plate yet they're on one side in this one.

I had some Double-Sided threaded Nuts (looks like some riser nuts for AMD) and used that on each corner of the top to give me enough clearance for the CPU cables for my Asus Rog 12 Maximus Extreme.
Considering this case for my new build. One concern I have is with the cover plates in the back. I use a Seasonic X 1050W Gold PSU and the cables are pretty thick. Will I still be able to put those covers back on?
How did you fit the fans and radiator up top i have an h100i v2 and a aorus gaming 7 mb and with the radiator mounted up top the fans are not even close to fitting. I had to mount the rad then put the fans up top over the metal cover in a pull configuration.
RiftDM I ended up get a 360mm aio and mounted it push/pull in the front, did change my temps much from my 240mm aio, my 8700k is a dud im gonna delid it soon. I want 5ghz without starting a fire.
Hi man, sorry for the late answer. Currently CM is not selling retail 200mm A-RGB fans, only the standard RGB version, but they may hit the market soon. The controller only controls lighting in the chassis, it has 4 channels (2xfront, top, rear) that can be splitted with the included Argb splitter so basically you can hook up "a huge number of fans until the wattage required exceedes the amount provided by your PSU :D
will you also be releasing a 360mm rad AIO? I wish CoolerMaster already addressed the issue of long screws that may puncture the tube inside the radiator causing leaks :(
This case is in the top of my list and i'll do a stream with the build as well. Question: I do not like either glass front or top, i want mesh on both. It wasn't very clear, but is there a mesh for the top as well? Which brings me to the next question: Can you fit a 3x120 radiator AIO in the top with mesh and have a 2X140 radiator AIO in the bottom front and a 140mm intake fan in the top front? I sent mine back. The top design is incredibly stupid, they should have made a radiator tray on top for up to a 360mm. My i9-9900k never got cool enough because there isn't an AIO that works in here big enough to cool it and I'm not going to mess with water. Screw it.
Top mount bracket has virtually ZERO height clearance, so good luck mounting a Kraken or EVGA CLC 280mm. Your fans will hit the motherboard unless you mod the case. STUPID design. They could have easily given you another 1/4th inch by raising the height on the removable top bracket, but instead leave you with a 200 dollar pile of garbage. BUYER BEWARE!!

It appears to be, depending on your vrm heatsinks (my worry currently as I plan.) Did it work out for you?

The 2 big fans in the front are great, but can't see them in the bios, the fan in the back crashed my PC when I tried to control it's speed

you peeps forgot to mention that most 200mm fans wont fit in the case, only the coolermaster brand fans will.

You can customize on those panels, maybe custom sticker or simple printed paper with artwork stick on the surface.

Ehi man, soprry for the late answer, you have to connect the controller to the D-RGB port using the included "Gigabyte" labeled connector

can you mount the clc 280 inside sucking air out unto the 200mm fans? or will it cause turbulance ?
I need to figure out how to plug the 2 big fans directly so I can actually see them in bios and control their speed, and maybe the pc won't crash

You can remove the little metal lid to reveal the PSU ;) the feature is still there, tho without tempered glass due to safety during shipping

There is not a mesh top unfortunately. I have removed the side mesh to help the air escape.

I sent mine back. The top design is incredibly stupid, they should have made a radiator tray on top for up to a 360mm. My i9-9900k never got cool enough because there isn't an AIO that works in here big enough to cool it and I'm not going to mess with water. Screw it.

Top mount bracket has virtually ZERO height clearance, so good luck mounting a Kraken or EVGA CLC 280mm. Your fans will hit the motherboard unless you mod the case. STUPID design. They could have easily given you another 1/4th inch by raising the height on the removable top bracket, but instead leave you with a 200 dollar pile of garbage. BUYER BEWARE!!
You can mount a 280mm on the top, however you will have to put the fans on top of the bracket in a pull configuration.
