Sadly, this series is coming to an end. Our deal with our sponsor was for 10 episodes (but we will publish at least one more), and each episode simply takes to much time to create without financial support. However, if we can spread the series and get more views/attention, this might help us create even more. So if you know any magazines, groups or just even friends who could have interest of this series and spread it, please share it with them. It would mean a lot to us 🙂 UPDATE: Thanks to our first 32 UA-cam members, here is the first video for the members: ua-cam.com/video/dWAz_ssQgJs/v-deo.html All contribution through memberships goes to making more content. Consider joining by pressing the "join" button. Within a week, we will also upload a new film making video for everyone!
1. When you went 2 weeks with no incoming emails or jobs then they all decided to come at once. I felt that. I started my own freelance/production company last year and It seriously feels like that's just the nature of this business. 2. I've thoroughly enjoyed this series. You can feel the love and time that goes into documenting and editing something like this. It's been exciting watching you guys grow and comforting knowing I' not the only one who struggles at times owning their own business. Much Love from Milwaukee!
A lot of clients are usually requiring loads of work done towards the end of the year. In the 1st quarter the budgets are usually being distributed, the 2nd and 3rd quarter are planning stages where marketing teams make plans where it is they should be spending their precious funds. This is why in Q4 loads of work can spring out of nowhere. This is also a good time to make push loads of marketing your end to try and capture those potential clients rushing around to get their content done.
I absolutely loved this episode, and I love this series. I don't think I speak exclusively for just me when I say we would love to see the series find more way to continue forward! I know other excellent content channels here on UA-cam have recently been having pledge features and membership on their channel. If you guys were in a position to get that established, I can happily say without the shadow of a doubt I'd be amongst your first paid members! I hope you guys get everything figured out, much sooner than later!
I found this series yesterday. It’s the best thing I’ve ever watched on UA-cam! As a person trying to improve my video game I love your content. Find more sponsors, I can’t do this lockdown without your series. 😂
I binged watched them all in a day then ran out and have been waiting for your notification. It’s like heroin. I even subbed all your UA-cam channels just so I can get more content.
You can easily feel that there's so much love coming from this channel. It's beautiful, and honestly it makes me want to be part of something like this, with genuinely kind people who love each other. One of the most inspiring channel out there! Thank you so much for doing this, and I wish you all the best!
This was a great series. You really showed so many of the situations that come from starting a company, especially a film company. This was a great learning experience. I will be sure to share this in social media. Cheers.
Please don't stop! It is so nice to follow your journey and inspires young filmmakers to try new things or just get the courage to get out of their comfort zone. I really hope that all this current issue doesn't affect you too bad. Looking forward for more content and thanks for sharing your experiences with us :)
I adore this video series, please do not cancel it! I know it's expensive and time consuming, but it's such a good thing to look forward too! Start a Patreon, turn on the Join button on UA-cam. KEEP IT GOING!
as of this pandemic, yes its true that all of us photographers and film-makers have almost lost all of their assignments. I hope that next year when all this is over, we get to work extra.
love the way you end each episode with a suspense and keep us anticipating what would come ahead.unfortunately sad to hear end of this series.i understand how much effort goes into each episode and it would be very difficult to do it without financial support.hope you find better jobs and good sponsors ahead and revive this series sooner.wish you luck.
great series. what would be a very interesting video for many of us would be a current video explaining the situation right now and how you guys are managing during the virus outbreak. good luck. good work.
How i didn't see this series before?!! You guys are amazing. I can't believe people's bad comments. I'm Turkish and i'm trying to learn English, so i can understand you. To be honest, i'm really glad that i saw someone who is struggling with talking English because i thought i'm the only one who can't say words correctly and has issues about grammars. It's like my biggest dream, having good filmmaker friends and start a company with that. My best wishes with you! I hope you'll get more clients. I just watch 10 episodes and i can't wait watch to the rest of them. I just wanted to drop this comment here. All of you are so talented, kind and -not gonna lie- handsome. Don't mind the bad comments, do whatever you want.
A little sad that the series ends for now. An award must still be possible. Thx, a fantastic series. And today's episode was very authentic and educational. I really hope you have mastered the current crisis well so far. Without Vjus and this incredible team, something would be missing in the world.
It would be a great pity if you could not continue the series. This series or even the whole project has somehow become dear to my heart over the time and I have always been happy about a new video 🖤
Really love this series, just a bunch of good people. Hope you guys can keep it alive!

UA-cam manage to take me there: from the first episode... I'm glad to had seen this videos. Please don't stop... Maybe do less frequent update... But the narrations is very very good. It's like been a part of a bigger family...
This series is just so good! Have you guys tried to contact some of the classic big sponsor on UA-cam? Like Skillshare, they almost sponsor every creator videos now!
Guys, I have loved this series so much. I just watched all 10 episodes. I really hope you get the opportunity to keep making more, but it is understandable that you have to have financial backing. I will try to share this as much as possible. Good luck, and I'll keep watching your channel. Thank you!
I'm glad every one gets to experience the majestic and all inspiring windows 10 "Oh snap" screen. It is a confidence inspiring random event that makes you really want to edit videos or do 3d modeling and photogrametry on your PC.
Guys, you are amazing! Got so much joy of watching this video. Good luck with your future projects. If someday you'll want to travel Siberia, drop me a few lines, I'll do my best to support you.
A great series and an excellent learning curve for one and all....there are very serious global challenges ahead......I feel confident that You and your team will find some way to turn the forthcoming nightmare to your advantage - and emerge the better for it! **************
That is very frustrating indeed. I have enjoyed this series up to this point. Maybe you can continue with updates coming through the Patron channel out to UA-cam, just keep them short.
I had a really hard week. I am still sitting on a project that I have to finish today, but as soon as I saw that a new episode appeared, I felt much better :)
Thanks for sharing this Jim. I hope you will be able to finish up the project today! Remember that us filmmakers can be too picky sometimes. Often we sit too long with details in the edit that the client/audience won’t even see. So don’t overthink/overwork :)
@@Andyax Haha this is probably my biggest problem. Thanks a lot :) By the way: I love this series (Making a Film Company), I can't wait for the next one. Have a nice evening. :)
I received some production work because of the virus. A couple of businesses had to create TV spots to talk about the current situation and support the community with good will and intentions.
Reeeally cool idea so send your pitches as a video pitch instead of a form or text. Makes it wayyy more personal and just from that video pitch you can see you have good lighting, proper equipment and you know how to master audio.
Hey Im a filmaker, musician, tv and music producer like you guys, you guys do amazing videos, keep working and forget the bad comments, when dogs barks is a signal that you are walking. Just keep doing your thing. I hope some day I can colaborate or meet one of you guys I follow your channel a long time ago, I see your first videos with the t2i. The t2i was my first dslr camera thanks to you guys! Im in Toledo Ohio! Congratulations for your success
I absolutely love this series. It is a blessing to budding filmmakers like me to see first hand what it takes to Run a Video Production company. For someone like me, it is still a pretty farfetched idea that someday I too would have something like this or be as stable as you guys. All things aside, I LOVE this series, ADMIRE your content and HOPE that you all make it big. I found this series tonight and was hooked just by reading the title. Binged it and want more of it. So find some sponsors. All I can do is embed this series on my Blog. Love from INDIA
Love the channel guys. Format and education are incredibly well put together and edited. If you're ever in California on a shoot and in need of crew please let me know. I'd be happy to assist on a production
I know this series is over. But, I think most of your supporters here would like to know how you're dealing with the pandemic, and what you're doing to make it through. Best of luck. Stay safe.
Great series. Very curious how you guys split the financials when not all gigs require everyone to work. For example, is the money earned from selling one individual’s stock time lapses shared between the whole team?
The pre-intro clips get repetitive fast. Other than that I absolutely love this series. I've been binge-watching it and will do the same for all of your other content. Good luck with your future endeavours!
Regarding the video thing... DO IT people. Write to compagnies, make a video. Even if they currently don't have a position or need, they wil remember you!
Mas fiquei curioso pelo título, então, de uma forma objetiva, como fazem dinheiro? (But I was curious about the title, so, in an objective way, how do they make money?)
