I'm happy that Longines released this 39mm Spirit Zulu Time. I got the anthracite dial with the green bezel version. Nobody needs to be disappointed about the smaller version, since the original 42mm version is still produced. I see this as a win, since it opens up this watch to more customers. 42mm is huge for me with a 6.5" wrist. The 39mm version is a perfect size for me, and it looks and feels great. Now I just hope they make a smaller version of the Spirit Flyback Chronograph.
I have this watch since last month and it's absolutely stunnning. I have 16 cm wrist and it's fine though maybe 1 mm shorter lug to lug could be better. The bracelet is good but not incredible. There are some complaints about lug width but i had good experience with 20 mm nato and 22 mm leather.
I have a Rolex Sea Dweller and GMT, Omegas, Breitlings. I wear a yellow faced Doxa 600T the most, just wears the best for me. I like the others for sure, just wear the Doxa the most and it built like a tank. Just ordered a Zulu, looking forward to getting my hands on it!
Nice watch. I wear a 34mm Hamilton Khaki Field Watch. I really like it. Loses 0 - 1 second per day. Simple, rugged and precise. Also 100 meter water protection.
I’m so close to buying this exact watch size and colour way…but no on the fly micro adjustment is such a shame. I understand they have to cut something to keep cost lower…but almost perfect.
Great watch. Was surprised my AD had one in stock last week so I just had to buy it. Only 3 minor complaints: Mine is losing some time per day vs gaining (still within cosc range but it’s annoying when you need to sync the time), the crown text is not perfectly aligned once fully screwed down, and the lug width is 21mm
@@timcarlstrand5890 I like mechanical watches because of the fact that it can keep almost perfect time without an IC lol. When you get a cosc watch from stock it typically gains time when it's flat and cold and loses time when it's vertical and warm. So if my watch is lagging behind I lay it flat overnight to gain time and if it's leading, I set it vertical. Just unfortunate I don't have this option as it's losing time regardless of position. I'd need to regulate the watch to get it there but I'd rather not do it on watches over a grand.
@@dspserpico I don't think so, but would be good to be manlier. I am glad I have an average size wrist for a man as can see its an issue re watches otherwise. I do not think I would behave like the masses in UA-cam comments if I did though, and if the majority of watches went smaller, I don't think bigger wristed guys would give a monkeys.
@@dspserpico Just banter. The constant whining for smaller watches drove me to it lol. Personally I wish watch companies would make tonnes of smaller watches to shut people up! Most of the people commenting are not even buying anything!!
why would you put ar coating on the top side .......... it always scratches and shows real bad , it defeats the purpose of having a sapphire crystal smh
I have the 39mm in anthracite/green, and it’s a stunner. I wear it as often as I wear my submariner.

Watches aren't getting smaller, they're getting less ridiculously huge. Which is a good thing.
Great way of looking at it!
You mean you don’t miss the chunky watch loosely dangling off the wrist trend from the early 2000s?!
I don’t think 42 is reasonable but I tell you what, I’m a firm believer that companies should give more size options like 38 - 40 - 42
i am wearing the TISSOT PRX Chronograph and I love it. But slowly I am read for a more mature watch as the ZULU.

My wrist is 7.85". Please persuade me that the Omega Racing 44.25mm is too big

If you need to sync time regularly a mechanical watch is not your friend.

I'm wearing a hamilton khaki king 2 at the moment. It costed me €795. And it's a awsome watch
WHY TF IS THE DATE NOT CENTERED, I CAN'T UNSEE IT
What is the end link to end link size?
Longines Spirit series are really phenomenal 👍 Grand Seiko quality...
I saw this watch last week in person. It is screw down crown
Interesting. I’ll have to check it out.
Date doesn't seem to be centered
Unfortunately this appears to be an EXTREMELY common problem with this watch. Seems like a 50/50 chance the date isn’t centered.
21mm lug width, ugh. male end links, ugh. two self inflicted, easily avoidable misses on an otherwise really nice piece.
Agreed, on the end links
21mm is perfect on this case size lol, but male end links on top of freakishly long lugs is weird for you small wrist guys.
No clue what you are on about. How are those misses?
Wait until the hydroconquest gmt came out too
This one? ua-cam.com/video/vQjWTjGzA7U/v-deo.html
Spirit or Spirit Zulu?
i have the 42 what is all the craz on the 39 , very small
What size wrist do you have?
Lugs are too long
That’s a complaint across the entire Spirit line, that’s why smaller watches even work for bigger wristed people.
@@dspserpico This makes zero sense lol 😂
@@dspserpico I am not bigger wristed, I am normal wristed 😉

You cant review and sell watches, conflict of interest.
Freaky dimensions and looks.
They fcuked that one up big time IMO.
42mm version is much better, so grow a man sized wrist!
“Man sized wrist” lol

@wristopia4101 personally, I think the 42mm has better spacing making it visually better. Also, I have an 8 inch wrist, so..
I have the Titanium in 39 mm. Titanium is for real man. 😝
cool for poor people otherwise its meh...

100% agree with that doesn't make sense.
