if you have done any research in the toyota v8, you know those airboxs are prone to dusting your engine, regardless on keeping your "warranty" or not...goodluck with toyota honouring a rebuild
Hi Mark, are you worried about insurance/warranty with a 2 inch lift. Toyota insurance told me directly they only accept 1 inch lift and 1 inch bigger tires. Also if you het bigger tires are you going to change the diff gear to bring it back to factory ratios?
Excellent question. Will definitely look into the diff ratios. Regarding the suspension warranty, it all depends on your relationship with the dealer and what they would be willing to cover. A chat with the dealer is a good place to start for sure. For me, I’m not worried about my warranty with wheels and a small lift 👍
@@NorthOz might have missed it but do you have another fuel filter. Some questionable fuel stations in Oz. I don't believe I've seen one in yr vehicle, seems like mandatory kit.
Great video as usual Mark As you said in the video the next upgrades is Rims and tyres especially if you intend to do vic high country definitely need more than cheese cutters as you said. Cheers mate Paul
Correct. Unfortunately, the cost for that kit is $300 and the wiring has to go all the way to the back. This was only $200 and tapped into my parker lights. Took me an hour and I was up and running. I’m not saying this is better, but for me it was the better option

Was looking at one of the new 2.8 single cabs. Just can't bring myself to spend 92k for such a basic car, especially with a 4 cylinder. The V8 could be justified some what. Government and mining is the reason these are so expensive and they don't mind paying the price and Toyota knows it. Just makes it too expensive for private buyers.
Completely agree. I don’t see the value proposition for the 4 cylinder. After owning 2 vehicles with that engine and transmission, I was ready to move on to something different. I also didn’t pay $90k as well so that helps 👍

What happens if you upgrade your tyres, doesnt look like much room for your spare
Good question, heaps of room for a 35+. I just need Pete at PSE fabrications to cut me a new rod that goes through the mount and we are good to go 👍
Is that automatic or manual???
