I am so happy we have you around with all them nice turorials, that weay we can be sure to get notifyed when som new exiting features comes to photoshop. I love it all. I can see tonnes of possibilities in this. You just rule the show to wild. Keep it up Colin!
Hi Colin Thank you very much for this video tutorial on the new features of Adobe Photoshop. You really do wonderful tutorials. Pat Hogarty from El Dorado Hills California.
Great first look at this years new features Colin. Do you know if Adobe have fixed the problem where you try to `remove people` if they are near a sign or other text/lettering, because in Beta if you removed people and there was text or signs around the people you were trying to remove, it seemed to `mash` that part of the photo up?
I like seeing new features and improvements in Photoshop, but when I went to my computer to initiate the update, my first thought was "I wonder what's broken this time?" Past "favorites" include horrible performance when moving a fixed-size rectangular selection with an existing selection, stair-step effects when doing refine selection, minute-long stall followed by out-of-memory error with the remove tool (sdtill present), etc., etc, not to mention the infamous "Photoshop encountered an error"-type error that appears to be happen more often now that than what I was used to CS6
Any word on when Adobe will start charging for generative credits? Currently I'm at zero but it still says "When you're running low on credits, continue generating content at no additional cost for a limited time" I wonder when this will change!!! Esp when using the new dashboard feature you showed where they can get gobbled up quickly!!!
I have had Gen Fill do a decent job of this by telling it to 'Remove reflections' in the prompt. It was one of those, I don't know if it will work, but it is worth a try situations.
Thank you, Colin. I would love to update but first I would like to be sure that Adobe has fixed the mixer brush problem that was caused by the previous two updates. These updates made the mixer brush basically unusable for artists that rely on it for their work. Do you know if the mixer brush is back to the way it worked in version 25.9.1? I have had to waste time installing and uninstalling because of this issue.
i'd like to see a comprehensive video on creating text on a path. i've watched a lot of videos on how to do this and when I try the text jumps all over the place and sometimes disappears completely. I do get the idea of a start and end point markers but when I try to replicate the video I don't get the same results.
Hi Colin: Can you disable or turn off generative fill and AI? If I wanted Adobe to do my editing for me I would not bother buying a camera and learn how to use it. Thank you - Bruce
Nice insight into the new features - All those worried about AI and the power of it, we can sleep another night because it's still mostly terrible! No rock drummer should be worried any time soon
Auto selections for things like remove background and remove distractions are sub-par. Combine that with frankly woeful AI gen when stacked up alongside the big boys of text-to-image and the 2025 update is frankly a hot mess right now.
In comparison with eg. ComfyUI+Flux, Ai generated Images in PS are useless. And function: "remove hair from face" will be more usefull then "remove wires". I remember times when new version of PS used to bring us really usefull new features.
Little by little, it appears Adobe is extending "Generative"' features to the whole Photoshop software? Aren't we exhausting "Credits" every time we use Generative features iin Photoshop? Just saying... If I'm an ad agency or design studio, I can charge those generative credits...
Let's hope that this update to Photoshop fixes the issue with wrong color (profile) in Camera Raw in my brand-new HDR monitor setup. Most of the time the colors are wrong (red and oversaturated) in ACR, but occasionally colors are displayed correctedly (after "Done" and reopening the same image again, possibly multiple times).
Adobe Photoshop is fading as fast as it can to junk status. Look around for a reputable and honest editing program. Photoshop was good but now is in full decline They take ownership of your photos.. They overcharge. They will not stop invading your bank account ever. Their video programme Premiere is also now second rate. Don't do it.
I tried the paid version of Photoshop, and it is not worth it; the AI generative and Firefly won't give you details and quality if you do print work! Maybe in the future, for now, it will not be worth it.
Great tutorial and features thank you looking forward to seeing the new tutorials
Could you do a tutorial on how to use the multiple feature to create a background for a person that I've already photographed.
Just adding my thanks - as always.

What about removing reflections?I remember you once showed this feature. Will it be coming soon to beta?

Thanks sir
Nice
Have you tested the pen pressure? Not working. psuserconfig also not work . There`s no settings folder anymore

You can keep the old version when you update. If you are using a Mac, I believe you can even have them both open at the same time.

Is generative AI still low-resolution results? I think it was limited to 1024 x 1024?
There are Camera Raw updates too..
Can it auto remove birds?

It seems they axed "Generative Workspace".
No, its in the beta

When I update I am going to see if Genertive Fill will create a 1968 Lincoln Continental. So far I have not been impressed with it.
