There are a million bad ideas out there. The political question is really about how does a bad idea become politically viable or unviable. Your "root" concern also has a root. Most of the catastrophic dynamics of Western society would not be politically viable without the undue political and social empowerment of a particular half of the population. That has a root also, called liberalism. So, from my point of view, Auron is trying to address the root of the root of the root that you are focused upon. Have a nice day.
