I've been using pixel 2 since 2017...and the software man! Thats one reason why I haven't upgraded... It so optimised and still feels fast for a 4 year old phone

Actually when I tried to but it, when it went on sale it quickly showed not available on pincode or out of stock.... So what I did was....... I tried ordering on web browser and kept...... continuously (emphasized) refreshing the web page.. and after a few minutes it showed back in stock or deliverable. So I think whoever is facing issue, can try this.
Battery life got better on my pixel 4a after about 7-10 days. I also use the dark mode on always and get about 6-7 hours of screen on time even using the GPS for 1 h.
That's the rant/explanation we've been looking for🙏🏽 Compact phones + No gimmicks and the most important thing which every buyer neglects is THE SOFTWARE AND UX MATTERS OVER JUST PROCESSOR AND SPECS ON PAPER!!
I bought it the second it launched and I absolutely love this phone, my family has 3 Iphone XRs and people have been using my camera for all photo clicking activities especially low light. I can't express now much I love the night mode

Watching it on my pixel 4A and realizing everything Beebom is saying is true. Having a great experience with the phone. One thing that I don't like is its selfie performance, it softens the image, not sharp images and sometimes the background is more detailed rather than the main subject. That's an honest and accurate review! I liked how you mentioned about gimmicks and top notch specs.. as what really matters is how the software handles the hardware. Pixel team seems to have mastered it. If we only consider the spec sheet to deduce the price of a phone, pixel 4a is probably overpriced by 25%.. Got one for my wife to upgrade from the MI A1 - its quite an upgrade. Photos are astonishingly good - especially for our use which is almost always small groups of people. Its small, neat, light and perfectly powerful if you are not into the newest high graphics games. Battery life so far is enough to get from fully charged in the morning to 40%+ at night when it goes back on the charger. Haven't tried the star shooting mode yet (all cloudy skies at night) but everything else tested works as advertised.
I switced to pixel 4a too from a snapdragon 855+ smartphone. And you know what I like the gimmick free experience. I mean Android 12 is here when you are struggling to get android 11. Pixel exclusive features are just super awesome like continued conversation in google assistant, now playing, pixel recorder, and a whole lot. and they are super useful unlike pop up window on miui which I used only to checkout how it works and not for real use in my whole life. And yes advanced Google photos editing and selcting anything from screen in using select option in recent screen. You can copy images too in the frame and share or lens search or share directly anywhere. Pixel exclusives are all useful and. Not gimmicks

Ironically... I'm watching this video on my pixel 4a. I'm super thankful for the plastic back tbh, I rock a case on my devices and I'm atleast confident that it won't crack like a glass backed phone like my galaxy note 8. Battery life is awesome in my case ( medium usage most of the time)... Love the headphone jack too, astrophotography works as expected, no manual settings ( but I'm no photographer), I don't game on it (well duh) but certain RPG games run fine ( genshin impact). The speakers are loud (I'm a headphone person tho). Things like live transcribe work but it's not fast n I've disabled it. Updates are on point, and after a days use, it never felt as a compromise coming from a galaxy note 8... But ya I miss the s pen...

Ironically... I'm watching this video on my pixel 4a.
I'm super thankful for the plastic back tbh, I rock a case on my devices and I'm atleast confident that it won't crack like a glass backed phone like my galaxy note 8. Battery life is awesome in my case ( medium usage most of the time)... Love the headphone jack too, astrophotography works as expected, no manual settings ( but I'm no photographer), I don't game on it (well duh) but certain RPG games run fine ( genshin impact). The speakers are loud (I'm a headphone person tho). Things like live transcribe work but it's not fast n I've disabled it. Updates are on point, and after a days use, it never felt as a compromise coming from a galaxy note 8... But ya I miss the s pen...
