Tbh I think the Pixel 4a could switch a few iPhone SE 2 users for a few simple reasons: 1. The Pixel objectively looks better than the SE 2. The Pixel offers a better photo camera 3. The Pixel has a much better display, as it’s OLED and has a higher ppi 4. The Pixel has a lower price, which might go lower around Black Friday, while the SE won’t go any lower for years 5. The Pixel has 3 years of software updates, which is good enough for most users 6. Although the chip is worse, it’s still good enough for most users 7. Headphone Jack 8. Stereo Speakers 9. Google Assistant 10. Night Sight 11. Extra features, I.e transcription, polycarbonate, gorilla glass, etc. 12. Slightly better battery 13. USB-C All in all I think the 4a is a better buy, considering all these reasons plus the lower price.
If you want a phone with the best price to performance, get the Xiaomi Mi 9t Pro. It has: 1. a full screen design, with a pop up camera, 2. 6gb ram, 3. 128gb storage, 4. headphone jack and 5. decent camera (not as good as a Pixel, but mostly there with the google camera app) and 6. (most importantly) Snapdragon 855. It also has a fully glass back. It only cost me £379.99, which is VERY good value. It is one of the best valued phones you could ever buy.
Agreed.... glass backs only benefit the manufacturer as it doubles the chances of breakages and buying a replacement or getting it repaired.I bought the 3a because it had a plastic back.

"Weekend foray with the... 4a" i see you, MrMobile 👀 also, according to the Pixel 4a product page, it's a Snapdragon 730 and not the 730G. Just a heads-up. 😉
Exalia Justice To be fair, the 730G really only improves the graphics. Most users of this phone wouldn’t see any performance difference between it and the regular 730 unless they’re gaming quite a bit with titles that have good graphics.
Glad you picked up on the wordplay. :) As for the silicon, my spec sheet from Google (reviewers' guide) says this: Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 730G 2.2 GHz + 1.8 GHz, 64-bit Octa-Core Adreno 618 Titan M Security Module

Nice review, as always. It's about time this phone came out. Question to whoever: am I the only one who actually prefers fingerprint unlock to face unlock?
No. I personally don't hate face unlock on phones, but it should _complement_ fingerprint unlock. In other words, face unlock should not be the only option. It should always be included with fingerprint unlock. I'm cool with face unlock-only on PC though. Windows Hello face unlock should be a standard on all Windows computer. It works like magic.
I work with my hands and have always hated fingerprint unlock, they never work for me, I'm constantly having to swipe my pattern to unlock until I got the pixel 4xl, the lightning face fast face unlock always works without issue in any condition whereas fingerprint I mite be able to unlock my phone every now and then successfully, that one feature is enough for me to not upgrade unless or until another phone has a similar quality face unlock which if it's not a pixel I would be so disappointed
My phone now is the Iphone XR, which is a great phone as well! I got a Iphone 6S earlier and I switched to the better bigger screen to body ratio of the Iphone XR! I love my new phone actually! But, I'm thinking of getting phones that would be more cheap in the future. The price would go down and the phones that I have when I'm older, would then be more expensive than the older phones. Thank you Mr.Mobile, for making another informative video about the Pixel! Have a well and scenic day!
I'm happy with my s20+.... But it's great to see Google figuring out where they are in the smart phone world, hopefully their 5 will make the good things about the 4a better not worse.
Because it's a waste at this price range because it will be shit quality. It's better to have one great camera, compared to what you see with other brands around this price range putting in loads of cameras to look more like flagships but you then sacrifice quality of all the cameras or worse other areas of the phone, and you get one that isn't as good as it would have been if it where just one camera but it's a little better than the other cameras.

Happy to say, I landed on using surfshark when shopping for a vpn last year. Didn't find it through a sponsorship or anything, just plain googling. Still using it, still pleased with it.
I've seen the verge, mkbhd reviews and I can say, Mr. Mobile is the best. Awesome editing, music, locations and a very engaging narrative. More Power! 1M soon👍
A note on your sponsor: I purchased Surfshark and took advantage of their 30-day money back guarantee. When it worked, it was great... but I had so many issues with it in the 25 days I had it that I couldn’t justify keeping it. Every time it went down I either had to stop what I was doing (including working) to fix it, or disabling KillSwitch and having my web traffic expose itself once or twice a day which defeats the point of using a VPN. There’s a reason they can offer 85% off. (Note: I contacted support quite a few times while I had it, and their ideas worked... for a bit. Nothing stuck, so in the end it was all just wasted time)
I'm someone that only ever used the 'best of the best' when it came to technology. Every phone I've had was always top of the line (my current phone has "Ultra" in the name) but I've seriously gotten to the point where I just don't want them anymore. I honestly just don't use phones like I used to, installing the heaviest games and performing video editing. Added to that, I find that when you pay a premium for your phone there is no room for something falling short of expectations (in my case - battery life) whereas you might shrug that off when buying a budget device. So now, having a top-of-the-line device, I find myself eyeing the smaller budget friendly devices thinking that they might be more my speed. We don't get Pixels in South Africa but hopefully when my next upgrade comes around that might have changed. If not... a Google Pixel might be next on my shopping list. Great review as always.
This just shows how Google is the best in the budget department when it comes to phones. The 4a feels like a true throwback to their Nexus phones. They should spend way more on ads globally especially in Middle eastern and South asian countries. Then watch people buy the phones from them like hot cakes, instead of making flagships to rival the iPhones and Samsungs of the world where in some countries, no one even knows that they make phones! I say this because flagships nowadays are kinda overpriced sometimes people have to settle for something cheaper which works and that you could rely on, and that's exactly where Google can shine. Great review, btw! Big fan of your videos. Been one since the pocketnow days, you had the best reviews of the bunch and had a unique style which you still kept and it evolved even more with your new channel. Stay safe, Sir 🖖🏻

Mr Mobile's review is always the first review I see, no one beats this guy doing this, it's always so much fun to watch his videos, much love and respect to Mr Mobile and salutes from Medellín Colombia.
"My foray into my...4a"
What a f'ing dumb pun.
I loved it.
Finally decided to try pixel 4a. First time pixel user. So blown away how good it is despite the spec is not that impressive. Coming from someone who use higher refresh rate phone this phone is so smooth and the best camera ever.
Still very pleased with my pixel 3, but my next phone will be a pixel again
I honestly don't know why you're still short of 1M subscribers. Your reviews are rich, vivid, entertaining, fresh and most importantly best of all reviews out there. I hope you become the top youtuber soon ♥️
"Weekend foray with the... 4a"
i see you, MrMobile 👀 also, according to the Pixel 4a product page, it's a Snapdragon 730 and not the 730G. Just a heads-up. 😉
730g bro
@@vikasgouda9417 store.google.com/us/product/pixel_4a_specs?hl=en-US prove me wrong bro
Exalia Justice To be fair, the 730G really only improves the graphics. Most users of this phone wouldn’t see any performance difference between it and the regular 730 unless they’re gaming quite a bit with titles that have good graphics.
Glad you picked up on the wordplay. :) As for the silicon, my spec sheet from Google (reviewers' guide) says this:
Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 730G
2.2 GHz + 1.8 GHz, 64-bit Octa-Core
Adreno 618
Titan M Security Module
@@TheMrMobile Interesting to think that Google put the G in the reviewers' guide, and leave it out in their product page... well, at least the 4a has a decent chipset. 👌
for me this phone is all i need. all the specs is more than enough. it's the perfect size as well. i am also getting the full android experience. mike, you should be a voice actor!!!!
I was!
@@TheMrMobile really?? which studio? Redtube? 😜 Good review btw, it's my second time waiting for your review before I buy a new phone
Thanks, Tony Stark.
Congratulations mr Fisher..for 1 million subscribers Without contemplating any conundrum & Predicament..it’s imperative for me to assert that you are unequivocally the Best tech reviewer with Magniloquence & enunciation with Grandiloquence...Sagacious,witted and well acquainted about technical knowledge...it’s obtestation & entreaty kindly keep growing and continue your stupendous work
Tony Stark of Android
I love how MrMobile always gives a shout out to other UA-camrs in his reviews.
I always wait for a review by Tony Stark, nobody understands tech better! ❤️
Getting mine today- cost £270 and will let me try out the Pixel line alongside my iPhone 11. Thanks for the review - subscribed!
Nice review, as always.
It's about time this phone came out.
Question to whoever: am I the only one who actually prefers fingerprint unlock to face unlock?
No
No I hate Face unlock fingerprint us much better
I work with my hands and have always hated fingerprint unlock, they never work for me, I'm constantly having to swipe my pattern to unlock until I got the pixel 4xl, the lightning face fast face unlock always works without issue in any condition whereas fingerprint I mite be able to unlock my phone every now and then successfully, that one feature is enough for me to not upgrade unless or until another phone has a similar quality face unlock which if it's not a pixel I would be so disappointed
You're almost at 1M, Michael! Well deserved!
Wow!!! It’s finally here it was beginning to look like the Bigfoot of phones
I still don't know why you are not above millions subs!!! You are an artist who tells a story. A very good story. Everytime!
2:39 I was waiting for someone to use that pun. My satisfaction is immeasurable, and my day is made.
you've been one of my favorite tech youtubers since I started watching tech videos , from the pocketnow days !
Can someone please tell me why Google can't charge $50 more for this phone and just give us a wide angle and telephoto?
For your question
I'll recommend you to watch Mrwhosetheboss's video
Because of the iPhone Se and the One Plus Nord whitch are also mid rangers.
Less reason to buy the main Pixel range unfortunately.
1 Million coming up! Congratulations in advance, Michael!
Lots of ♥️ from 🇮🇳 Mr.Mobile
Stay Safe and Stay Mobile
great diction michael, a honest review of pixel 4a , a phone that had us wait and wait for so long. well we almost knew the specs and the price but a good simplified , easy to comprehend dissection of this silicon package as you put it.
Another amazing video. Stay safe and stay healthy my friend.
You too
im from indonesia , and you so amazing when you description this google pixel 4a, and maybe this google phone recomended for me . thank you so much sir 😇
It’s weird. It almost feels like that 4a has been out for months now
Why Mr mobile is so underrated. I always loved his reviews.
Same here
Yeah actually others reviews are soo boring to watch but I end up watching to know about the phone but this did not feel that way.
7:40 did you say the iPhone SE is a prettier package? With those 5 year old bezels?
Probably because its not a unibody plastic design. However I do like that design.
Mr mobile was born on the island! Thats awesome! I might have seen him and not even known it!
Mr mobile : that pixle 4a is fast even at 60hz refresh rate
MKBHD: it's kind of slow.. even for a 60hz refresh rate
Me:🤬
The shitty review vs a good review
Same
@@btlei which one is shitty?
Mr mobile is right imo . Mkbhd is too spoiled maybe
@@MrXperx it's cristal clear, MKBHD.
Reviewing tech became more : who got the most powerful devise, hey some people are just happy with SD 810.
Wow so close to a big million. This is gonna be epic. :D happy for you mr mobile.
Meanwhile iOS 14 coming to mobiles and tablets 6 years old....
Typing this on my soon to be unsupported Pixel 2xl
I still prefer bezels stuffed with tech like front facing speakers and the cameras like Xperia 1 ii
Check out XDA. I am sure someone will pick up third party development for your device.
Don't worry pixel 2 will get updated to Android 11.... After that definitely we have to switch... 😂 Let's see what Google is going to do with pixel 5
I own a Pixel 2 XL and afaik it will also receive Android 11. I'm gonna try and sell this one to get the 4a (Mexico doesn't get the pixel phones easily, so I'm trying to get a way to import it)
@@raulgerardoc.1250 Hahah same here friend... I got my pixel 2 2 years ago from US.... Now I will try to find a way to import pixel 5....
Almost to a million thr time he reviews that note he will make it... Been following you for a long time and I'm wishing you luck! You are the man
I'm guessing that the face ID will be leaving the Pixel 5 since we'll be wearing masks for the next few years.
Not all People sadly
we will not be wearing mask for the next few years
Few months***
Thanks
@@GeniusGamingArg Oh yes we will. History has shown that pandemics typically last about 2-3 years. COVID isn't going away for quite a while. You'd better get used to wearing a mask for the forseeable future.
@@Some-guy-on-the-internet vacine is ready almost last trail ls remaining and will ready by end of year lastly reach to u by feb 21 dw see news of vacine nationaliz already started
Shoutout to that awesome camera transition as the video begins.
'Best value, in America, for Android'
'Wouldn't swap over for it'
'SE is actually pretty good'
So you're saying I should get an SE. 🤔
Or get the Nord, you get all the benefits that Android gets, and 90hz Amoled, but although the camera is not as Amazing as the pixel, it's still very decent, and you have more versatility from it(excluding the useless macro and depth sensors ofc), also , it have much more battery than this Pixel, nevermind the underwhelming SE
@@ezrapardede1921 the only good things about the Nord over the 4a are the new cameras and 90hz
@@joelnod the battery for sure. pixel battery always sucks
Apart from the best voice in the tech area I like the honest reviews you make. Keep it always like this Mike.
Best voice .....I give you Mrwhoestheboss ?
First good looking pixel I honestly feel I want it oh wait plastic I literally heard plastic while typing this comment
It's going to be more durable than glass.
Oh no! Durability! What ever will you do?!
@@sovietbear3024 Considering how rough people are on their phones, durability matters greatly. Look at folks with Iphones and their screens and the back glass are damaged.
I'm glad the back is plastic.
@@lukemeissner1741 And I always get a good case to cover it anyway
My god ever since pocketnow.. this guy is the best reviewer
The world: Stays at home
Mrmobile: Stay mobile my friends
I'm mobile from the bedroom to the kitchen, it counts.
Hope you reach the 1 million mark Soon. You're voice is my favorite among all reviewers! ❤️
"the back is polycarbonate instead of glass"
how is that a downside
@@Vs1234. I get the idea, but I think plastic ca look better and is more resistant, I just don't (personally) see the point of glass backs
For example, I think the 4A looks better than the 4
Yeah plastic may look less premium to some BUT I always prefer plastic. My previous phone was glass (a5 2016) and I switched to a plastic a30 now. It's so much lighter without the unnecessary weight from the glass that does nothing.
@@iEmoz98 yes, same for me. Had an Xperia Z1 Compact, the glass back was just full of scratches, now a Pocophone F1 and I really prefer the clean mat look
Marques mentioned that in Zack's (JerryRigEverything) teardown it will probably snap in half like a twig.
Where else can I find a review better than Mr.mobile's? The way Mr.Mobile makes his videos is way amazing and more interesting than others!!
In a perfect world MrMobile is actually MrEverything and I can get all the relevant info needed on any indiscriminate thing as to make a sound buy without the extra effort. Hurry up and get 5 clones to cover more stuff, please.
Beautiful review. Super crispy. Hope you'll get to 1 million then to 2 million and so on.
anyone noticed that MrMobile is only 4 subs away from 1M. Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. have always been my favouriite.
Wow those unedited video samples were great
Haven't watched yet, but I'll be waiting for the 'foray' pun.
@2:40 thank you, sir.
Lol at the iPhone SE coming in a "prettier package". Maybe from the rear, but I spend 99% of my time looking at my screen and I don't think anybody would say the SE's screen looks better than Pixel 4a.
But that's nitpickting too. I'm a big fan of MrMobile and this is a good, informative video.
Happy to say, I landed on using surfshark when shopping for a vpn last year. Didn't find it through a sponsorship or anything, just plain googling. Still using it, still pleased with it.
I'm really digging the vlog video format. Please keep it going for future videos!
As always amazing video Mr.Mobile and 1M subs milestone coming soon,Congrats 🎉 been following you from 2017
Transperancy is what i like about this channel. Keep up the good work 👍
I've seen the verge, mkbhd reviews and I can say, Mr. Mobile is the best. Awesome editing, music, locations and a very engaging narrative. More Power! 1M soon👍
Excellent. Video output better than I expected!
(Note: I contacted support quite a few times while I had it, and their ideas worked... for a bit. Nothing stuck, so in the end it was all just wasted time)
I am so excited to get the phone, pre-ordered the Pixel 4A! 😍😍😍 coming on 11th September
the way that you make your reviews are awesome!! I like the fact that your giving your own impressions instead been commercial thumbs up
6:23 I came from RapidNadion but stayed for the reviews. When I saw the RC Titanic the little eight year old nerd in me was so happy.
I am sold. Thank you for making the decision process easy for me
This just shows how Google is the best in the budget department when it comes to phones.
