    In this video, I show all the differences between the Dremel 3000 and Dremel 4000 rotary tools. In general, the Dremel 3000 is cheaper, but the Dremel 4000 has more power.
    But both tools have some pros and cons to them, and all the small detailed differences are highlighted in the video.
    For example, the design, changing the brushes, the power, attachment compatibility, how easy they are to take apart, the shaft lock button, and more.
    One thing i forgot to mention in the video is that the Dremel 3000 is a little bit smaller than the Dremel 4000.

    Went to the effort of disassembling the 4000 and showing us how the locking mechanism engages better and completely overlooked another important update - the spindle lock cannot be pressed down when the tool is on - you can clearly see that the on/off switch when slide into the on position locks the spindle lock button from being depressed - that is also a very good upgrade, especially with those new beefy locking pins that would cause some damage if you pressed the spindle lock during operation.

      Do you guys know if a screw will have any problems being used after cut by dremel? I’m concerned it will make the teeth crooked and not be able to screw a nut into it. Thanks!

      @CB19087 Місяць тому

      @@lcglazer it can do sometimes. But you can usually force the first few threads on the bolt you've cut using the nut. Bolts don't cost very much to replace

    Hi 👋 Thanks for this video! I’ve just got my first dremel and noticed blinking white lite inside the tool body while it turned on. Could you please advise if it’s ok or I’ve got some defective one. I’ll really appreciate your answer, pretty nervous about if it’s some kind of electric sparks 🙈

    Another very good video, it is nice when somebody that knows what he's doing and what he's talking about makes a video on a particular tool or power tool because this brings real information and not Just y unbased fool opinions as with others.

    New to this, and thinking of purchasing a dremel. I do woodwork, but occasionally I need something for small jobs and repairs. What about the 4300? Or the cordless ones? Thank you!

    • @rotarycrafts8760
      @rotarycrafts8760  Рік тому +4

      All of them will do just fine really, the 4300 has a bit more power than the 4000. You can use it for longer and be a little rougher with tool without the tool overheating. But the Dremel 4000 is more than good enough for me, sometimes i use it for hour long sessions of woodcarving and it holds up just fine. I would only recommend the cordless tools if you really need to use it somewhere where there is no outlet. It is just so much simpler when you don't have to worry about charging batteries. If you are going for a cordless tool i would recommend the 8220 or the newer 8260 ( the price of the last one is a little bit steep, so i have not bought it yet).

    Helpful vid! I wonder if you know of the Dremel 200? It's so much cheaper than 3000.

    • @rotarycrafts8760
      @rotarycrafts8760  Рік тому +3

      I have not used but i know about it. It is one of the older models. It only has two speeds, 15k and 35k rpm. If you can work with that it is going to be fine. It is also a fair bit weaker than both the 3000 and 4000.

    I want to use the dremel for wet green stone. What do you think?

    • @rotarycrafts8760
      @rotarycrafts8760  Рік тому

      I don't quite know what wet green stone is. But if you wanna cut stone i would recommend the Dremel 4000 with the flex shaft attachment and a diamond cutting disc. With the flex shaft you can move the Dremel motor away from the cutting action and away from the water.

    Which one comes with the universal chuck?😁

    • @rotarycrafts8760
      @rotarycrafts8760  9 місяців тому

      None of these came with the universal chuck for me. And when I look at the kits on Amazon it seems like you have to buy the universal chuck separetely most of the time. It is about 10 bucks. I got the chuck included with the Stylo+ 2050 for some reason though :)

      Yep. The 3000 works perfectly fine with 1/8" grinding stone bits.

    Sweden, I see that Dremel 4250 6/128 is expensive but on those days that there are big sales the price can fall to almost half price. (prisjakt).
    So I will wait for a nice half price sale
