I noticed during my 20s (now late 30s) that I was ALWAYS happiest when I wasn't in a relationship. Life was good and peaceful. I'd give some women a chance, but eventually (wisely) ended all of those relationships. I haven't dated in several years, and I'm probably one of the most contented/fulfilled guys around. This has little to do with money, also. A guy who realizes he doesn't need a woman in his life doesn't need to paper chase, because if we think about it - and really think about it - wanting to have a lot of wealth is tied to impressing other people (especially women), but all thinking men don't need much at all to be happy. When you know you can have almost anything you want, and it's just a matter of effort, one becomes more selective about what they do with their time, and what the "many" want becomes less attractive. Most of us are chasing money, power, women out of insecurity.

Not against the idea of a relationship but couldn't be bothered to pursue it any more, a lowered sex drive with age maybe helps, but the drama I dont need. I had some enjoyable relationships in my past, the good times last about a year, the second year is struggle, and sometimes the third it's over. Thankfully my hormones never got me married and financially screwed. Looking around at all the people I know and all the couples I've ever known I can only count two that I thought was working, the rest unhappy. There's a lot to be said for peace and quiet, but I know men and women that can't stand being alone and prefer a crappy relationship over living alone. What ever floats your boat I guess. Even better. Part of finding someone is already being happy in your life, happy with who you are and aren't in need of someone to fill any void. Of course it's ok to want someone special in your life. But I'd say aim even higher and aim to be happily single. Even better than being unhappily married

On the flip side, my mom married my dad when she was 20 and he had just graduated college. They were married for over 70 years. He developed Parkinson's when he turned 90. She cared for him, cutting his food and even feeding him. He passed at 94. She is 99 and lives in assisted living center and misses him every day. Her one fear is that dad may have found someone else in heaven. That, my friends, is love.
Don't get me wrong, there were still UNhappy marriages from that time period too but marriages were generally better back then because people were less selfish.
That was over 70 years ago. Times were different (No social media or Internet). Now women have lists of hundreds of fallback guys. They are only loyal to their options. They don't love men, only what men can do for them.

I had tried to keep the family together, and I went to marriage counseling with her. She dropped out of it because it wasn’t going her way. After marriage and having 3 kids, she became about the craziest bitch I’ve ever seen. Just be cautious guys. Women aren’t what they used to be. The average woman in the 1980s and before that were a different breed who were devoted to their husbands and kids. Today, the average woman is greedy, very selfish, immature, super needy, and can turn into a devil at any time.

While talking to him he told me that dealing with divorce trials is the worst part of his job because he has literally watched men have there lives unapologetically ruined not necessarily by the women but by the court on the women's behalf even if she didn't want it... I think you're overlooking a lot of variables with your assessment of joint custody. The biggest one being that children are required to go to school. That's not necessarily a problem if both parents live within a reasonable distance of each other but this seems to be the exception, not the norm. (I couldn't find any hard data so I'm forced to go off of personal experience and those of people I know. Growing up, only one of my friends had both parents living in the same city.) When my father lived in the same city as my mother, we (my brother and I) split our time between each parent as evenly as possible. We spent weekends and every Wed. night with my father. Obviously there were limits because of schedule conflicts. However, that changed when he moved away because it was a 3.5 hour drive. And what happened to considering how the children would feel? Sole custody deprives a child of a loving parent. (Assuming both are good parents) My life has been that much better *because* my parents chose joint custody. I had a friend that got divorced, He had an agreement with his ex that instead of paying child support that he would pay off the house he gave her. After the house was paid off she is now taking him to court for child support. His attorney said depending on the judge he may have to pay all the back support and pay credit card interest.

As a woman, this scares me so much. I commit a lot to a relationship and I'm loyal to my partner, wether man or woman. I don't want to turn into something like this, I love my boyfriend a lot and I want no harm for him whatsoever. I want him to live his best life with me. But I fear becoming something like this and potentially ruining his life, it's something I'd hate for him to happen. He's helped me through my depression (Which I'm still in treatment for) and I help him whenever his Asperger syndrome takes the better of him, we've argued, yes, but nothing we were not able to resolve. It's too early yet, but someday I would like to be married (Not with kids though, not sure if they would really want a depressed mother). I just don't want anything wrong for the sweet, charming and incredible man that is helping me get my life together and loving me like nobody ever did.

I really wish so god damn much I was able to be with a girl like you and be able to start a family. With the regards of you not wanting kids because of being a depressed mother, I can very honestly say that you really think to yourself that your children are going to consider yourself a shitty mother just because of the fact you're depressed? You might actually be surprised how, if we assume the case is if you and him do have a kid or two you both aren't like pointing guns at your children or psychotic shit like that and really are super star parents, your depression won't determine if your kids will love you or want to be taken away from you. And believe me, I know all too well about what determines a terrible parent from an amazing parent because my biological father has actually pointed a real gun at my forehead and wanted to kill me almost a decade ago and have for the longest time had really hated him because of that one incident. But even so, I still absolutely love my father and now I do regret not having loved my father even after that incident a year after it happened he was released from a prison. I enjoy the family I have on my dad's side (my biological mother and father never married but kept in constant contact for the sake of me and my younger brother) and today I wanted to actually cry from how much pain I've felt after hearing my father calling me to say his father had just passed away today. I really wish I was able to find a girl who's just like you for myself because I really just have one life goal I want to accomplish, which is get married to a woman just like you, have a child or two, and just live an average joe lifestyle. I don't want any fortunes or fame in my life. I'm down that I might very likely never have that because not only have I had a girl play with my emotions to have a great laugh who knew I had ADHD/Autism in 8th grade and freshman year, but also that this video's contents is way too common in these modern times and instead of anything being done to combat this and are actually supported to strengthen this behavior while playing it off as they did nothing wrong. Your that type of girl a lot of men as myself can only dream of having the honor of being with for the rest of their lives and your boyfriend is very very fortunate to be with a girl like yourself. I noticed during my 20s (now late 30s) that I was ALWAYS happiest when I wasn't in a relationship. Life was good and peaceful. I'd give some women a chance, but eventually (wisely) ended all of those relationships.
I haven't dated in several years, and I'm probably one of the most contented/fulfilled guys around. This has little to do with money, also. A guy who realizes he doesn't need a woman in his life doesn't need to paper chase, because if we think about it - and really think about it - wanting to have a lot of wealth is tied to impressing other people (especially women), but all thinking men don't need much at all to be happy.
When you know you can have almost anything you want, and it's just a matter of effort, one becomes more selective about what they do with their time, and what the "many" want becomes less attractive. Most of us are chasing money, power, women out of insecurity.

On the flip side, my mom married my dad when she was 20 and he had just graduated college. They were married for over 70 years. He developed Parkinson's when he turned 90. She cared for him, cutting his food and even feeding him. He passed at 94. She is 99 and lives in assisted living center and misses him every day. After marriage and having 3 kids, she became about the craziest bitch I’ve ever seen.

I think you're overlooking a lot of variables with your assessment of joint custody. The biggest one being that children are required to go to school. That's not necessarily a problem if both parents live within a reasonable distance of each other but this seems to be the exception, not the norm. (I couldn't find any hard data so I'm forced to go off of personal experience and those of people I know. Growing up, only one of my friends had both parents living in the same city.) When my father lived in the same city as my mother, we (my brother and I) split our time between each parent as evenly as possible. We spent weekends and every Wed. night with my father. Obviously there were limits because of schedule conflicts. However, that changed when he moved away because it was a 3.5 hour drive.
And what happened to considering how the children would feel? Sole custody deprives a child of a loving parent. (Assuming both are good parents) My life has been that much better *because* my parents chose joint custody. Furthermore, research shows that joint custody is actually in the best interest of the child.

I had a friend that got divorced, He had an agreement with his ex that instead of paying child support that he would pay off the house he gave her. After the house was paid off she is now taking him to court for child support. His attorney said depending on the judge he may have to pay all the back support and pay credit card interest.

As a woman, this scares me so much. I commit a lot to a relationship and I'm loyal to my partner, wether man or woman. I don't want to turn into something like this, I love my boyfriend a lot and I want no harm for him whatsoever. I want him to live his best life with me. But I fear becoming something like this and potentially ruining his life, it's something I'd hate for him to happen. He's helped me through my depression (Which I'm still in treatment for) and I help him whenever his Asperger syndrome takes the better of him, we've argued, yes, but nothing we were not able to resolve. It's too early yet, but someday I would like to be married (Not with kids though, not sure if they would really want a depressed mother). I really wish so god damn much I was able to be with a girl like you and be able to start a family. With the regards of you not wanting kids because of being a depressed mother, I can very honestly say that you really think to yourself that your children are going to consider yourself a shitty mother just because of the fact you're depressed? You might actually be surprised how, if we assume the case is if you and him do have a kid or two you both aren't like pointing guns at your children or psychotic shit like that and really are super star parents, your depression won't determine if your kids will love you or want to be taken away from you. The old saying goes, actions speak the loudest.
And believe me, I know all too well about what determines a terrible parent from an amazing parent because my biological father has actually pointed a real gun at my forehead and wanted to kill me almost a decade ago and have for the longest time had really hated him because of that one incident. But even so, I still absolutely love my father and now I do regret not having loved my father even after that incident a year after it happened he was released from a prison. I enjoy the family I have on my dad's side (my biological mother and father never married but kept in constant contact for the sake of me and my younger brother) and today I wanted to actually cry from how much pain I've felt after hearing my father calling me to say his father had just passed away today.
I really wish I was able to find a girl who's just like you for myself because I really just have one life goal I want to accomplish, which is get married to a woman just like you, have a child or two, and just live an average joe lifestyle. I don't want any fortunes or fame in my life. I'm down that I might very likely never have that because not only have I had a girl play with my emotions to have a great laugh who knew I had ADHD/Autism in 8th grade and freshman year, but also that this video's contents is way too common in these modern times and instead of anything being done to combat this and are actually supported to strengthen this behavior while playing it off as they did nothing wrong.
Your that type of girl a lot of men as myself can only dream of having the honor of being with for the rest of their lives and your boyfriend is very very fortunate to be with a girl like yourself. You can find love too, and I'm sure there's more people like me in the world, it's a matter of time until you find someone like that.
