The writing and the acting on that show set the bar so high that it hasn’t been reached, let alone topped, in 20 years. The dialogue between the butler and Sheffield’s assistant was pure gold.
Remember the episode where the nanny walked in on the butler and the blonde lady in bed together? 🤣
Poor cece only gets remembered as Sheffields assistant 🥺 lmaoo
@@amor6611 Everybody who watched the show on a regular knows CeCe and Niles.
@@jjjonse uh yeah lol... My comment was actually for the woman mentioning Cece as "Sheffields assistant" 😂 not that Cece was NOT known
C. C. was his business partner. =)
She kept talking about her size and it made me so sad. She's stunning, in the 90s and right now. Forever a style icon.
Beauty is often all a woman is worth in society, so it's not surprising that she's so worried about it. Sad, though.
Most women I know get like that while looking at old photos of themselves. Especially if they put a lot of effort into their fitness and diet back then that they don’t anymore. I even do that with with photos of myself in my teen years.
It’s a very 90s thing. Skinny was huge back then. Shes still stuck in that 90s mindset
Some women like talking about their weight for them! So calm down
@Fairlith Harvey that’s what they were saying. I don’t think the poster meant that they feel all a woman is worth is her beauty or looks, they were just saying that in society that’s what it comes down to. I agree though, women have a lot to offer to the world.
The Nanny doesn’t get the same recognition as the other 90’s sitcoms and it’s a shame because it was brilliant, she played that role so well as did the others. Feel like binging it now
it was a 90's Three's Company, which was in itself a 70's I love Lucy. I believe all 3 shows were never critically accepted, but loved by TV audiences.
Just binged it. Was amazing. Hasn't aged at all !!

I didn’t realize all of the costumes she wore in The Nanny were designer. Truly a 90’s style icon.
most were Todd Oldman pieces !! truly iconic
bc that was before designer started to print their brand name all over the clothes

Noah Aslam I totally agree
SHE IS AN ABSOLUTE ICON
Yesssssss 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
What I loved about her is that she really has rocked her body for all it’s worth. She was blessed with a killer figure and just genetically blessed, period. I’m glad to know she’s got a devoted and appreciating fan base because she’s changed my life. Despite her tragedies, she still embraced her beauty when so many of us try to hide it or obliterate it to make the pain go away.
This is what I tell my daughter! Show it off while you can! (This doesn't mean you can't show it off later--Fran still looks amazing at awards show--but if you are blessed with this kind of figure, have fun with it.)
Her accent changed when she talked to her mom. Nice that they kept this in the interview. ♥️
Lol it got like 5x thicker
I noticed it, too.😂
The "do I look young, do I look thin?" was such a Nanny Fine question lol
I’m pretty sure she said that in The Nanny too a few times Lmaoo

Pretty sad she didnt include the short black dress with red heart bag that was so so iconic!!

So why is no one talking about the fact that she’s gorgeous
Probably because it's extremely obvious! We're all blinded by her beauty! Inside and out! She's so stunning and sweet. Knowledgeable and inspiring!
Literally most of the comments are saying how gorgeous she is.
That 2 second video of her in the flower cage thing where she’s talking and smiling, omg I gasped. She’s SO striking, that smile
“It was very low you could see a little bit of back cleavage.......and that’s ok with me.” I love her

Late in my 20's I was dreading my 30's. But seeing how Fran handled her 30's with humour and looking amazing it helped me through. Now even years later she continues to rock her icon look, personality and lifestyle. Thank you Fran! :D
She just shines. The epitome of grace without taking yourself too seriously.
Okay here’s a concept.. what if Netflix had the Nanny.. perfect during this time to have a bit of joy
Anne-Cecilia Byrne right?! I just thought about that
This comment deserves more likes. Especially now, it’d be cool to rewatch a show we all used to love.
Anne-Cecilia Byrne it’s on Prime Video. That’s why haha
It’s so much cheaper than Netflix, so it was worth to get it to watch The Nanny ♥️
@@allanmhanson I am rewatching it on prime at the moment, almost done with season 2. Loving this rewatch, since I haven't seen the show in about 10-15 years.
Yes! I wish it were on Netflix, too. Not just because of the quarantine. It's timeless.
The Nanny was so ahead of its time. Fran Drescher is simply iconic and a legend.
That part!
It was of the times, so 90's. Not ahead. This was 90's Fashion, Family, Life, and behavior.

Associating beauty with morals is sexist. This is how you age when you’re wealthy.
@@haroldharold9042 or maybe this is just how you age when you have the genetics to do so? poor people age slowly aswell.
Let women age, they aren't problematic for going through a natural process.
@@haroldharold9042 Its not sexist to say that being a hateful, problematic person will age someone drastically beyond years. There plenty of women AND men who were downright rotten in their youth and grew old to look like crypt keepers in their older age. She has such a gorgeous hourglass figure. Even back in the '90s when she had barely an ounce of fat on her, she had amazing curves
Revina Que exactly and on the show she was real about the struggle of dieting, saying F it and having a snack , etc.
umm don't get me wrong she have a good figure and a pretty face that's for sure
but she is more rectangular to me
even rectangular woman can have a little curve here and there because woman tend to have curves but she is def not a hourglass.

I just finished rewatching The Nanny for the fourth time. I'm still a bit emotional. I think I have to wait two weeks to rewatch again.
Her fashion was so amazing on this show. Plus, it's funny to me that people are like, "I can't believe so much of this was designer"... do y'all not remember the episode when she said her cousin was Todd Oldham? The Nanny had fashion connections, lol.
Never realized how much of the outfits on the show were designer.
Right!?! I was thinking the same thing. They must have had a big BUDGET for the costume designer department.
She wore a lot of Chanel too 😊
especially since she was playing a broke servant
She was a style icon!! The way we wore just did a whole episode focusing on her pieces and style!
@@alliwhite3941 there's a joke about that in one episode lol

For this to have been a simple comedy show, you can tell a lot of money went into the set and clothes as a whole. Whereas I didn’t know what Fran was wearing, I couldn’t help but notice how extremely well dressed and fashionable she was. I figured all of her ensembles were designer. It all looked expensive. Love love love
Not only she. Maxwell in every scene looked great too. Elegand end expensive, remember his office costumes, my Lord, I have never seen so many well clothed men on the screen for the last decade like him was. The actor tailor has done a fantastic job.

ua-cam.com/video/tkhTeMtm3XI/v-deo.html&ab_channel=TheNanny here you can hear her natural voice, after she eats the wasabi
@@CasaSkaini that is not her actual voice. Her natural voice is nasally. The Wasabi voice was voice training she did when she was trying to break into acting in the first place. She has always stated she cannot make that nasally voice up
@@CasaSkaini your natural speaking voice is the one you go to on default. you can't change your natural speaking voice. you can try and train your voice to sound different (like as a voice actor), but your normal speaking voice won't go away regardless of how well trained you are. Your normal speaking voice is dictated by the size of your Adam's Apple (voice box), and the shape of your mouth and nasal/sinus cavities. In that episode, she only demonstrated what her voice would sound like if she didn't have a nasal-voice.
@@ChristoAbrie Actually, you can change your natural voice. Ever heard of Charlie Cox who starred in Daredevil? Listen to his real voice VS how he sounds in the show. You’d be amazed.
