@@stephanie1310 Thank you! Yes, I will keep them. l’m happy someone else agrees 😊✨. You either love or hate them but they’re definitely a vintage conversation piece. We appreciate you for watching!
I l❤v what u guys are doing and the direction you're going in. ( tips that worked for me on a budget): add a clear matt polyurethane to the dining table and fridge, paint vintage chandelier in a matte black paint instead for a more authentic finish.
@@lynnstaton5732 Thank you so much! I believe we used a glossy finish on the table and satin on the refrigerator. We might try a matte finish next time, though we thought it might show fingerprints more easily. I went with silver for the chandelier this time to fit the overall look I envision for the dining room, but I agree-black would look stunning too! 😊 I really appreciate your tips and feedback. Thank you!
Hey there, I just found your channel & and I have watched a few videos. A suggestion for the dining room curtains. What if you added a bottom curtain rod & then pinched the middle of each panel? This would create a diamond like shape to each panel & maybe a more polished appearance. Your Mom did a great job sewing them! Hope this helps.
@@loislash2669 Thank you so much for the thoughtful suggestion and for watching my videos! The curtains were intentionally a DIY project using natural thick canvas fabric. My idea was to add an earthy, neutral touch while also creating privacy, blocking out light, and keeping out the cold drafts since the windows are older - and it gets super cold here in the NW. Your idea of adding a bottom rod and pinching the panels sounds like a creative way to polish the look, and I’ll definitely consider it as we head into the warmer seasons. My mom did an amazing job with the sewing, and I really appreciate your input, it does help! Stay tuned for more updates!
I love what you are doing...Great job!!
