I can't get enough of Dagan. Such a cool guy you'd spend hours shooting the shit with about gear and stuff. Keep hold of him PMT. He makes things happen. Nice sneaky version of elderly woman behind the counter in a small town at 2:48
I personally ordered a transparent sonic blue in the center with a lake placid blue burst and I lucked out with a solid ash body, I think they’ve missed this. They translucent all their OG pastels, and come up with a good tasteful OG rich accent. Like shell pink and red Butterscotch see through to fiesta Sea foam to enerald
Great video. I owned an original about 25+ years ago - 1979 model. It was incredibly heavy, but had the most beautiful, warm crystalline tone, so much so I was learning jazz on it at the time. My original had a one piece maple neck and fretboard, as Fender produced them with both Rosewood and Maple boards. Colour had barely faded after 14-15 years. One of my great regrets was selling that guitar - I was a very poor student at the time!
I still have my 78 Hardtail Strat that I bought "used" in 82. Those 70s pick ups are not pretty but have great cut. The Hardtail gives a very different feel and sound but I never struggled to make it sound good. Made my next two Strats a breeze!
The colour of the body I like but the matching inner pickguard is what ruins it for me 😅 a plain black one mightbe nicer. But it sounds great here- what amp are you running through for the gain channel?
AH it's an ok finish..but it was orginally introduced to cover up bad or ugly wood markings..lol...I think.,anyway,,the Vintera and Vintera II are great guitars...I have three strats from those lines! love them!
Why can't they simply make guitars with 22 frets, 21 frets feel incomplete, we need that D note on the 1st string, Fender - Just stop these 21 fret guitars on the whole please. People do you agree with me?
It's a Vintera. An homage to vintage specs. They can hardly do a 1970's limited edition with 22 frets when it was only introduced in 1987. Other ranges exist for you.
Huh. Turns out some opinions ARE objectively wrong and stupid. Seriously, if you had said "I like it!" that's perfectly reasonable but "best looking strat ever" is absurd. It would likely be considered one of the worst looking by most people.
I genuinely could not make my mind up on this until I saw one for real in my guitar shop. After seeing it up close it is imo THE WORST colour ever. The outer darker colour is awful. Why fender why?
Hilarious. Antigua is possibly the ugliest paint job of all time. Hahaha. It sounds and likely plays great though. I can’t hate it if it’s a solid guitar.
🤮 Like avacado appliances and pizza couches, once in a lifetime was more than enough. Tuck n Roll away right into a pile of Kustom amps. I'm happy for the fans. At the end of the day, IDGAF. Fender is going to monetize everything as they should to survive and thrive. Good demo per usual. 🫡
Every time I see this finish I like it more and more and now I’m gassing for one
That opening has got to be the most perfect example of a Strat tone I've ever heard. Wow!
I'm really impressed by how it sounds.. very clear
Love it in all its hideous 70’s glory. And it sounds the business!
I just love that it's a hardtail with the big headstock. Personally, I'd swap out the pickguard for a black one.
I just turned 70 and was born in 54....this is my instrument...I need one...I have a 50th anniversary sunburst strat already
I too agree that that strat is the best looking strat ever. If I had the money I would own it already.
Undeniably a beautiful guitar that just oozes vintage vibes

Can I come and live in that museum lol best finish ever, between this and cracked mirror.

I’m a Les Paul guy myself. But yeah, I’m totally diggin that color, sound. I may just have to get me one.
I like the finish.. excellent..
I got one of these and really love it
What a horrifically beautiful guitar... 🥰🥰🥰
The Antigua is a so coooooool

Big headstock hardtail .. sounding mighty fine.
Colour 'not my first choice' .. :P
I’m with you man, that color is awesome!
That is a cool color arrangement
Same colour as my nans bathroom 😂
Must be a great lookin bathroom😂
Definitely not lying
Looks like a pencil drawing on old map paper, made 3d, not for me , but to each their own 🤘🤘🤘
So tempted by squier p bass version thats coming out
Nice to see some love for Antigua
Agreed!
Needs a matching headstock. Saying that mind, I love it.
needs a matching headstock. and to be a Tele.
I like the Antigua burst around the guitar, but not around the pickguard. I would prefer solid Antigua blending into the guitar.
The colour of the body I like but the matching inner pickguard is what ruins it for me 😅 a plain black one mightbe nicer. But it sounds great here- what amp are you running through for the gain channel?
Thoughts? I'm either getting the birch green strat and putting a mint pickguard on it or the white blonde with a mint pickguard, which one?
I like where the truss rod adjust is.. first I saw on that model.. though I'm not very familiar with
Nice
Lovely Strat, but I prefer the dark night range.
Squier are releasing some Antigua's in November
The paint scheme was something 70s appliances like refrigerators, stoves and washing machines were done in. Will it keep my beer cold too?
I want to get a Vintera Strat and turn it into an absolute metal fiend with the most aggressive pickups I can find
YES! Imagine this guitar with HSH pickups and a Floyd Rose or Evertune. It’d be amazing!
Agreed
AH it's an ok finish..but it was orginally introduced to cover up bad or ugly wood markings..lol...I think.,anyway,,the Vintera and Vintera II are great guitars...I have three strats from those lines! love them!
Different guitars suit different colours, and I would choose a Jaguar in burgundy mist metallic over that any day of the week!
What song is that at 10:02? Sounds so familiar but I can't put a finger on it.
I have one to, turned three guitars for this beast, my bandmembers give it a 4 out of 10, so i look out for a new band...... 🤫
This strat needs to be called the Parchment because that’s what the finish is it’s aged parchment Paper that’s why he calls it a map
Looks like Grandma's been designing guitars again.
My fiancee said it looks like toast. And it does.
I love the look of the color when its new, but they don't look as good when they've faded.
Looks kinda like silk sonic
I played one of the originals in this finish back in the day. Dreadful, I was so glad to get my tuxedo back.
The headstock should be cream IMHO.

Pronounced Anteega not Anteegwa

Beige?????????? Old people colour.
I am pretty sure the word “Hideous” was invented to describe that awful finish
I think its the worst looking strat ever. 😂
Nah..baby poo!
"Filthy toilet brush"
It's a great looking guitar. Plays like shit but it looks good!
I genuinely could not make my mind up on this until I saw one for real in my guitar shop. After seeing it up close it is imo THE WORST colour ever. The outer darker colour is awful. Why fender why?
I’d rather have a beat up fat strat with no accent.
Hell no
Hilarious. Antigua is possibly the ugliest paint job of all time. Hahaha. It sounds and likely plays great though. I can’t hate it if it’s a solid guitar.
I agree.
