no bs, straight to the point. im literally writing this comment with my pinky finger, because was watching this video while eating. thank you
Great content Adam! I love it. Keyword research so important.
I really appreciate all the value you've been sharing Adam, it's truly amazing.
That Netflix value comment is me 🤣🤣 Great video once again. Especially the points about putting keyword research first and the initial boost tapering off but recovering after 6 months :)
That analogy is said a lot, to be fair, I didn’t want to point out a single person 😂
@ lol yeah there were a few people thinking like that. I like how your numbers show that we don’t all have the same buying mindset. We always assume people have the same logic but it’s a big wide world out there :)
I loved what you had to say about onboarding. Also about how the user thinks about paying for subscription. Understanding user psychology is key to making money in this business.
Awesome Adam!
I think the biggest mistake I’ve made is implementing the paywall on first release of my apps.
No organic growth.
Now I’m trying to recover from that.
What an absolute banger video, I literally want to go learn how to make an app now 🤣
Thank you Adam, I am currently working on reaching to 50 apps by the end of this year, I have 5 already. :)
How's it going? 5 apps are great number!
@@baboyevv Thank you, I have already started getting some subscribers, but the apps are relatively new, so I am going to wait for the 6 months window just like what Adam says :)
@@josephmgift I see, that's good!
What type of app did you do?
Hello Adam! How do you transition the free users to the subscription? Do you add new premium features with the paywall or do you hide existing ones behind the paywall?
I wonder the same. If you put the existing one behind the paywall, do you do it for new users only or for everyone?
you're a legend Adam
Great video. I'd love to see how you distribute keywords in the app store keyword field
Adam you are giving away gold for free , even though this will probably create more competition for you. Thanks so much for this valuable info
My app business serves a had 3 goals: pay down my debt, support my family, give me the freedom to do what I love
It has accomplished all those goals.
Now my new goal is to help others do the same
Hey Adam,
Love your videos, thanks for making them!
2 questions:
1. How do you create the visual elements for your app? Not the UI elements per se, but the empty state visuals and so on. Do you draw those yourself or do you outsource that?
2. Do you build your apps natively with Swift or do you use react-native?
Apps are built in SwiftUI. I do all the coding myself. What do you mean by empty state visuals?
@@adamlyttleapps Thanks for your answer! I mean a visual like you see at 2:15 in the video.
man i love you. i have to say it. how many apps are you churning out atm?
Feels like everything has already been made. Every time I come up with an idea, I find out that something similar already exists. Do you ever end up creating apps that are very similar to others, or do you switch to the next idea when you find out something like that already exists?
Do someone have same feeling ?
This is really great, thank you! If I'm understanding correctly you are building the onboarding sequence for v1.0. Is that correct? If so what percentage of your developer effort for that release do you typically allocate for that?
Hi Adam, great video! Are you adding the paywall after the first 6 months?
Thanks for sharing your strategy. Just a question during the "wait" after launch in those six months do you make ASO changes? Do you release new versions?
And I can’t ecen get my dev account like 1 week for support to answear a simple question they said 2days to proces the paing like it was thursday for sure that time should pass today
fucking awesome dynamic
thanks useful video!
Nice proceeds/download by the way, for me its way below that. Are these numbers extraordinary or all of your apps are doing like this (so what I mean is for example you earn 3$/download)?
Nice compressed alpha!
What's your criterion to finally sling a paywall - N downloads per day?
Didn’t know this had a technical term. Today I learned about alpha factor.
Adding a paywall after 6-9 months when it has enough download volume to justify. 500-1000+ downloads a month is the aim.
I can get $0.50-$1.00 per download with a paywall. So 500 downloads = $250-500
Weekly subscriptions grow over time and in several months it compounds
@@adamlyttleapps TY Adam! Learned the term from those million $ app kids 🙃 About introducing the paywall: If you have a single purpose app, I see no levels of access with a paywall - it's all or nothing, correct? Do you just grandfather existing users to avoid the 1-star storm?
COOOOLL
Great stuff. Any way to contact you directly without twitter ?
So around what time you put up the paywall. After 6 months ?
Great video! What are your thoughts on SEO in todays age?
I haven’t touched SEO in years
But my videos seem to rank for some keywords, which is interesting
can you please share some resources for learning ios dev also
"consumers are conditioned that they are paying for accessing the app" ha as a consumer I do not like this, as a developer I do. It used to be that apps are like hammers and screwdrivers and renting them for professional work seems unwise.
