Great video, Ed! And great playing!! Thanks so much for everything you do!
Jaw dropping sounds. Great demo as well. Thanks!
Excellent video--very informative! I tried one out today at a local music store. It's a very nice piece!
Great video! best so far...
Great review!
Master Ed! great video :)
No speakers, it's just a direct recording of the keyboard into our camcorder. We had some Yamaha powered PA speakers off camera for Ed to monitor his playing…Thanks for watching!

How can I set up the EV-5 as a volume pedal in the RD-700? I tried but a didn't found a volume controller for pedal effects control. I ended up by assigning the EQ master control to the pedal.
Does anyone else think this sounds better than the RD 2000?
Hi, I have seen Kraft Music review both this and the Casio PX-750 (I have the latter). I have one question which I haven't seen being asked or answered easily - how close is the key action to the typical acoustic (grand or upright) piano. I know it can't be very close, but how better is it as compared to PX-750 (which I may rate only around 3 or 4 on a scale of 10), when comparing it with the upright I play at my music institute.
By key action, I mean specifically one thing - the resistance THROUGH and not just BEFORE the downward motion on the key, like in any acoustic (grand or upright) piano has and which allows for better control and makes a huge difference. Most digital piano keys with hammer action just run through with a little impact once they have the momentum and hence my teacher always advised (rightly i feel) that its best to practice a whole lot on acoustic ones before going onto a digital. I am not able to get my hands on a 700NX as music shops in my city won't hold them on display for trials, so I don't know and I may have to order one by taking a risk.
Greatly appreciate a reply. Thank you.
Great demo video, Ed. Can you tell me, is there a huge difference between the 300 and the 700 RD NX models--I am planning on purchasing one of these two models from your ebay store (I am a previous customer) but would like to know first if there are significant differences. Thanks!
Hello. Is the USB port good enough for recording to a PC? Or would you recommend an external recording interface?
My friend! A question, Min 4:57 What type of sound is this? Exist this sound in the Roland RD-2000? Thanks for your time
I have a Rd700nx and I have a roland keyboard amp, but the sound quality is not very good through the amp. I just want to practice at home without headphones, are there good monitor options?
how much the price of RD 700nx and what year model is it? coz i want to buy a new one thanks
whats the big difference of roland rd300nx and 700nx. Thankyou and waiting the respons :)
what was the song he was playing in the beginning of the video
ahhh, but what if you want Chorus AND delay....
I love this instrument. However I wouldn't suggest using it as a synth lead, because the pitch/modulation toggle is physically limited. It can only move one way. Well technically 3, but it should be four. It can only move upward, and left to right. I hope to modify this eventually.
is't comes with transpose function ?
What speakers are being used for this?
Is RD 700 NX have speakers?
Hello
what would everyone say is the best stage piano under £1000...ideally £800-£900?
Great review thanks :) Just curious, any chance you could tell me what stand you're using?
Hi,
We used a Z-style stand called the Z716…I believe it's the "L" or extra wide version. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for your continuing business! There are a few big differences between the RD300 and 700NX. The main difference would be the key action. The RD700NX uses Roland's Progressive Hammer Action III with ivory-feel keys. This is Roland's nicest hammer action and is a big improvement over the RD300 action. The 700 also has a few additional features like a song recorder.
Thanks!

I would like to know wich speaker should I buy for my rd300nx
i have got the same piano(it is one of the best pianos of the world just to add😄) and i use a laney keyboard amplyfier at home and on stage too as a control speaker but if you are just plaing at home i usually use headphones because it can give us the best sound if we dont want to play loudly in our house i hope i could help you
Do you need your own speakers, or does it have speakers in it?
You need your own speakers. I use this piano at home and I can attest there are no speakers on the unit.
why you dont talk for reverb? :D
Without using samples? Well why is it so heavy then!
Much better the acoustic which can not be changed and do many things.
Hmmmmm boring.
