The best ending for the tag ladder match would be if R-Truth grabbed one set of the tag belts. And when he comes down off the ladder the miz says you was supposed to grab both sets and truth just responds with “my bad” while another team grabs the other set of belts. 😂
My pitch is for Gunther/Sami to go the way of Sami/KO, where Gunther beats Sami down so badly, but Sami won’t quit, so the ref has to end it to protect Sami. And, instead of being Sami’s Rocky II, it’s the start of Chad’s Rocky IV

Btw, I agree with the first statement. But that’s because I disagree with the second point.
I think many of these matches have actually had great builds, stories and moments to lead to this weekend, which is why I’m hype for Mania.
I think people are trying to speak the "most hype Mania" thing into existence. Idk what real wrestling fans are foaming at the mouth for this show

But just look at the numbers for all of it, it’s not just The Rock stuff, the viewership numbers are high for everything. People are invested and engaged around entire product, from hardcore fans to the casual. It is absolutely one of the most hype manias ever going in.
Like I said, my issue is, Wrestletalk keep saying that, but then, they themselves contradict that thought.

My only problem with the tag title match is whose music do you play when both teams win? My picks are Awesome Truth win the RAW titles and DIY win the SmackDown titles since they’ve all four been paired together for a couple months now, so they can celebrate together
I think that Awesome Truth are absolutely winning a set because R Truth is the only person dumb enough to purposefully only grab one set of tag titles

I like Luke's idea of the Dusty finish to give Cody the title. Not sure if I like that more than a whole Avengers Endgame-style melee with others coming down to help fight off the Bloodline and finally even the odds. I know it's going to be overbooked but this needs it to take down such a lengthy winning streak which has only been this long due to Bloodline interference.
Talk about excitement, starting from Smackdown on Saturday (IST) to RAM on Tuesday I have arranged to be on leave, to wake up early to watch live and not having to work at all
Stacking Saturday makes sense because before you even announce a match, everyone's inclination would be to pick Sunday if they could only see one.
26:30 I think they are using this as a reason for Carlito to turn on the LWO, which is why he isn't in the tag match. He was visibly upset during the Dragon Lee announcement, so him turning on Rey, giving him a backstabber, and costing LWO the match would be huge.

In hindsight, Roman winning at WM39 was the right decision. Cody HAS to win the title on Sunday though.
Still remember Pete fuming in last year's watchalong, so rewarding to see it could mean more to see Cody winning this year round. Hopefully they don't screw it up!

Going first is only beneficial if you aren’t allowed to make the same pick as your opponent, so want first choice.
Its mostly for the Joker Pick, i think they arent allowed to pick the same one there, so that is a huge advantage in going first
A fun wrinkle with the night 1 main event is that, assuming Seth takes the pin, it could play very well into Drew's whole point of Seth not focusing on his title and getting involved in matters that don't concern him, and the beating that he takes on night 1 will be his downfall during his title defence.
Iyo is gonna retain, imo. Bayley will win at Summerslam to have a full circle moment. Iyo needs to have her Mania moment. Bayley already had her moment at WM 33 & 36.
Why would she wait 4 months when backlash is next month.....

My prediction is still that tonight, on night two, Legends (like Cena and Austin) will interfere in the match to clear out the Bloodline. Not touching Roman at all, though. They will surround the ring to make sure it becomes a fair one on one with Cody, which I think is highly important for him to solidify this win. Cody needs to win one on one. Outside of that, I think Austin will beatdown Rock in the middle of all this, and it'll get a big pop.
Just in time for an hour drive too!

I actually agree with every single one of your matches.....I was iffy on that Gunther vs sami.....spot on.....I definitely have rock and roman winning night 1 but then cody winning night 2 and biggest reason too is because it's going be some turmoil between rock and roman.....cody having the deck stacked against him to where rock turns on roman.....and I don't know if you watched raw but roman said this gong to be the easiest wrestlemania I ever had....we are going to have our way with cody.....that right there told me everything I need to know...roman had everything on a silver platter but couldn't get the job done

Ive always been on the side of Roman retaining (though i would be quite happy to see Cody win too) but Dan has put forward the best argument ive seen for Cody winning. Also, people talk about Cody pops, Roman still gets huge pops when he comes out. They are the two biggest stars right now, they should realistically hold a belt each if it wasn't for the whole Dusty story.

Just to play devils advocate, I was there in person and the crowd was RED HOT for Jimmy and Jey at 1 and 2. The problem is the roofing on the building makes the crowd noise not come through well. I guess I can’t say with 100% certainty that the entire arena was buzzing, but my section was very loud.
I can see them doing the Bret hogan thing where Sammy gets kayfabe hurt and Chad replacing for a huge pop
I think night 1 rock pins cody. Night 2 Cody finishes his story, and then Priest cashes in. Remember what this story is all about, how they took away the title from Dusty? Thats exactly whats going to happen to Cody.

Fantasy Booking: Rock and Roman win night one main event because of Solo. Seth and Cody walk in night 2 and Seth says he has a plan for both to walk out champions while Rock tells Solo Seth must lose. During Sethvs Drew Solo is attacked by a random person allowing Seth to fight off Rock and win. Later on during the main event the bloodline look like they about to finish it when Ambrose comes for the save. Cody wins, stand tall with Seth and Dean before they both turn on Cody leaving Dean to win the title on the Raw after Mania

to the people who dont understand how codys story makes and dont think cody should win. this story goes back as far as when dusty was forced to wear the polka dots and become a joke because vince hated wcw. dustin rhodes had to do the goldust character for years because vince didnt like dusty. they gave cody the stardust gimmick to ruin his career but he went on to become the biggest indie draw in 2017 and helped create an actual rival to wwe and put over people there before coming back to wwe because he wanted the title his dad never won and has fought for that opportunity. now he has won two rumbles,wrestled a great match with one shoulder completely torn,won tag titles with jey,everything but the one thing he has set out to do

It like one those movies where the hero lost the first battle but get rematch and won on the 2nd. Let go Cody.
Cody pins Roman, Rock restarts the match, Roman pins Cody. Triple H comes out and says that it’s now a best out of 3 falls match(and a no dq with Hunter as ref), all the stars come out to stop the rock from interfering, cody cross Rhodes Roman one last time and wins the title as all of the legends puts him on their shoulders.
And then Rock beats down Roman.
I feel this 'Mania is going to pay Homage to past Wrestlemanias... Gunther/Sami has a bit of a Savage/Steamboat feel to it... with Chad being George The Animal Steele... Cody/Seth vs. Rock & Roman Connection is like WM 1st Main event... Seth/Drew? I can see either CM Punk causing Drew the match THEN Damien cashing in... ORRRRR Like what Seth did to Roman/Brock, Damien cashing in in the middle of the match and taking it...
I was always an advocate for the Endgame theory for Cody vs Roman, with Romans enemies coming to help Cody fend off The Bloodline, but now I've changed my mind.
Similar to the Dusty Finish, Cody pins Roman after 3 Crossrhodes, 1, 2, 3. His music plays, crowd going mental. Pyro and everything. Meanwhile, no one has seen The Rock. He comes out, says how its his company, he can do what he wants, and he's restarting the match. Cody grabs a mic, and starts berating Rock and turns round and eats a superman punch into a spear. Rock runs down to the ring and restarts the match, Roman goes for the pin.. 1, 2, Cody kicks out. Cody gets absolutely blindsided by The Rock. Roman goes for the pin again, 1, 2, Cody refuses to give up. The sheer determination Cody has to not give in gets the crowd behind him even more. Reigns does his OOOOOOOOOAHHHHH but Cody dodges it and Reigns goes through a table, as he staggers back to his feet, Cody hits a Crossrhodes, 1, 2, 3. Cody has defeated the odds!
Women’s 6 man is my bathroom break. If it’s anything other than kick kick slam pin I’d be surprised

Rock to cost Cody the title and become the mega heel. Cody vs Rock for the next PPV,l for the chance to face Roman. Then Cody can challenge Roman 1 on 1 no later than SummerSlam.
I’m in a very strange position in that as of today I have no intention of watching Wrestlemania unless and until I listen to your recap and see if it’s worth my time. I genuinely am not interested in anything that’s on the card. Not that any of its bad (except doing last year’s main again 🤮) just ‘meh’.
But… I might also grab a last minute ticket and just go in person. 😂
I do still think the time for Cody was a year ago, and I am a bit less excited this time around than I was before because of him not winning last year. They’ve done a good job of presenting Cody as the guy still, and it doesn’t feel totally dead in the water, but genuinely I don’t think anything about what they’ve done in the year since has made Cody or Roman feel any bigger than they were last year. Like you guys said, The Rock and Cody has a ton of heat, and that’s been what has saved this for me, but that is more due to the revival of genuine heel Rocky feeling like he cares again and not so much any booking decisions made as a result of the finish from 39.
I do think if Cody doesn’t win it here he’s never going to be the guy WWE wants him to be and he might not even be WWE Champion ever. He has to win here or you’ve completely sunk that boat

Shouldn't the Jampion's Advantage be to go second? Making a pick without knowing what your opponent will pick does not seem advantageous to me

Im calling The Rock pinning Cody on night 1. Night 2's main even will have a lot of shenanigans, a lot of false finishes and will end with The Rock turning on Reigns and it all being a set up working with Cody. There was the promo on Smackdown a while back where The Rock, while point at the crowd, said " I will make sure you wont leave WrestleMania with the title" but by the end of the sentence was pointing at Reigns. Also I cant see The Rock (after missing out on his big WrestleMania match with Reigns) will not want to make the night 2 main about him still.
Night one Drew helps Rock and Roman win by taking out Rollins to set up night 2 where HHH helps Cody beat Roman using bloodline rules against him.

My prediction is that Dakota Kai and Bayley are working together and that Dakota will turn on Damage Control to help Bayley win the title.
Putting my fantasy booking hat on. You have Kevin or Randy win the US Title, Cody finish the story, then run Logan Paul vs Cody Rhodes at Backlash.
