Sounds like everyone wants to see more lines of the Nakhmanson so that's what I'll do. Next two videos will be declined variations and other accepted lines besides 6...dxc3. Thanks for all the positive feedback.
Thank you so much Kevin! Looking forward to more lines of this beauty. I'm your new subscriber and already a big fan of your videos. Please keep up your excellent work! All the best and thanks from Ukraine :)
Nooooo u made a video on this... ive been playing it for a while and get a lot of wins from this but now more people will know it and wont be free wins anymore smh. That being said it is really fun and i recommend it alot
Falling into this trap looks absolutely devastating. It’s like your constantly flipping off your opponent in every move. I could see the white king metamorphose into a middle finger.
@@matthiasernst8633 it doesn't matter, just bring the rook to e1 and stockfish evaluates the position as equal but that's only if black plays perfectly. And more times than not, black will make some stupid blunder because there are so many threats
When I was learning chess in my early teens this channel was my go-to for learning openings. I stopped playing for seven or eight years, but lately I've been getting back into it. AND HE'S STILL UPLOADING. What a champ.
This is just THE KILLER gambit I was hoping for coming out of the Italian opening for white, Kevin! Thank you! By the way, you're excellent with your variations explanations in every single one of your videos that you have taught through the years, Sir!
@@chesswebsite , Thanks for taking the time from your busy schedule to express appreciation of my comment, Kevin. You're the best chess instructor on UA-cam.
Mr. kevin I've listened to your videos since around 2010 I think. That's when I first learned how to play chess from my father-in-law. Your videos were extremely helpful. Thanks man. Hope you and your family are healthy.
Yes Please Kevin, do show the Declined versions here as this is one of the most fascinating Gambits and most favored. Thanks so much Big K and as Always, Blessings to You from the South Central Oregon Coast. ... Mike.
Kevin: I owe you a tremendous thank-you. Over the last year or so I have followed tons of your Chess knowledge and I say that you are without equal. Please never stop. Now we have this Nakhmanson Gambit--a miracle on the Chess board. Truly,
It would be great with a declined line. However if u take a look at the tutorial of "the black lion" by Ginger GM. There is a step by step strategy explanation which leads to a much greater understanding. For example consolidating moves, profylactic moves, staying low. If you only get lines to memorize you actually dont understand the game. Now some gambit openings are so wild that you throw strategic thinking overboard. Now this is all good and well if it is mentioned in the tutorial. The black line (lion) has a closed center no castling approach which is very peculiar to many opponents. This aggressive gambit is great and I am going to try it out. Knowing it stems from the Italian game I will of course pay attention to see if there is the opportunity to go into the Evans, the Helloween (as you taught me, much obliged) or the Urusov. Having these three up your sleeve returns the game to more solid chessplaying than just having remembered 20 different lines in the N. Gambit. Anyway great upload! Thx! Once again much obliged!
Very interesting: 11.26 if Ne7 You can just take the Knight, (threatening Rf7# or Qf7#) If 1...Qxe7 2 Qf6# If 1...Rf8 2 bg5+ hxg5 3 Qf5+ Kxe7 Ng6 Ke8 en then Re1+. Black has to block and then comes Qxf8#. This is just one of the many interesting lines leading to checkmate.
Please continue with the other lines of this gambit. Eagerly waiting to see tricks and gambits for black as well. Thank you so much for all your hardworking and sharing.
Fantastic, this trendy gambit is great and i even got to play it recently. OG Kevin, the first UA-cam chess video guy i found has taught me much. Thanks keep these aggressive gambits and instructional videos coming. Also lined the levenfish, which will be replacing the Yugoslav
Anyone here in 2021? I am. I fell in love with this nakhmason's gambit. Such a devastating opening. This holds first place in my favourite openings list. The second one would be king's gambit.
thanks soooooooooo much Kevin i love all the videos you have made each very specific with all the variations that are important to know in my mind for tournaments even though i didn’t see every videos for the past 11 years, i still really enjoy your channel KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!! 😇 i could NOT find a person better than you ⌚️💠⚜️⚜️🔱🔰 please tell me how you remember all of those openings?? favorite channel for 1000000 years liked all your videos with “👍” in your other channel, TheMathWorld , you tought me so much of all i struggled on!!! keep up the good work:) 🎓🎓🎓🎓
5:35 You missed a move...6:43 since the knight is dead anyway, why not take advantage of the pawn on c3 and play N-d2? that blocks the bishop in, and seems to force an exchange of either the knight or bishop, or perhaps a tempo gain sacrificing the knight there on d2.
This might be the first time I've ever been asked to bring back the old mic. Your request made my day. I actually still have it. The voice request is a little harder to bring back .
At 4:57, instead of Re1, why can't we play Bg5 and after knight takes, Qg5?! It wins a queen on the spot, right?! Edit - Oops.. I just saw the later part of the video!
At what minute does he discuss that move? I can't find it, but I really would like to because I thought of the same sequence as you and I am curious why it isn't optimal.
King F6 4:06 loses the queen with Bishop G5 Skewering the King to the Queen. The only option is to take with the knight. Then Queen takes knight, again a skewer and the black queen will be captured next move.
Nice one... bring more good and unusual openings and defenses, please... as far as i see getting the opponent out of the book is the beat way to have an advantage..
This seems really foolproof playing as white, I try to play aggressive whenever I play chess and this will be something I use a lot as White. Please post next sessions if you can!
This guy has just been going strong for 11 years. Everytime I want to learn an opening he's number 1. Props my man keep going
Agreed. Even after 11 years he still does it with the same enthusiasm. Just brilliant.
We appreciate it Mr. Kevin

Me: plays cool gambit
My opponent: what if I just don’t take the free knight?
every single time
@Maison Elijah nah, this is a chess channel my guy.
@Maison Elijah Stop tryna scam people on a chess video
Takes the knight but not the bishop

It doesn't feel good!
Yes pls continue with the other lines of this gambit
This gambit isn’t worth tryinn, black can come up with a counter attack dat he didn’t mention
Bench Mark
After 6. Nc3 dxc3, Stockfish evaluates it as +0.1
Please i love gambits
Hey, funny Guys! I have the Idea that the King goes back to e8! Than it is easy for Black to develope as fast as White!
@@matthiasernst8633 it doesn't matter, just bring the rook to e1 and stockfish evaluates the position as equal but that's only if black plays perfectly. And more times than not, black will make some stupid blunder because there are so many threats

Yup
Yep the 1st person to highlight this opening,,,,
haha
11:00 white has no forced checkmate. Maybe an advantage in a sweaty endgame. It comes down to 2 rooks and a bishop against a queen and a bishop.
Mr. kevin I've listened to your videos since around 2010 I think. That's when I first learned how to play chess from my father-in-law. Your videos were extremely helpful. Thanks man. Hope you and your family are healthy.
Wow 2010 is the original. Thanks for the support over the years, Trixy. I hope you your family is also well.
9:22 giving up the rook on F4 is completely pointless when white can play pawn f4 to kick the bish. Which DOES lead to a forced mate.
Hi Kevin. Just want to say your videos are the best. Simple and clear.
Thanks CrueLoaf. I appreciate the feedback. Simple and clear was my priority #1.

Same for me, this man is the voice of chess
Haha.. where is the best moves for black?? These r not best moves for black.. 🤣🤣

at 6:55 Rxe4 is a blunder (according to engine). It drops tha bar from +6.9 to +1.9. Qxe4 is best showing +4.20

5:33 Wouldn't it be better if you play C1 bishop to G5 instead?

I watched this opening so many times I'm starting to get it, and can't wait to try
Please make more of these videos!!
Thx kevin, great video!
Glad you liked it!
17:31 minutes. Instead of bishop to e7 knight to e7 I think is best. After that you can threat queen with pawn to c6 what can we do in that situation?
18:43 if bishop not take bishop g5 instead bishop to f6, what can we do there?
instead of bishop f6 also can play p:b2
Wow, this gambit is more aggressive than the Traxler gambit. I can't wait to play this.
Can someone explain why do we play nc3 instead of c3?
Pls a video about the gambit. Awesome video btw
As the Greeks say do not accept free gifts. Taking all the free pieces offered really open one to devastating attacks. Great gambit!
Thanks Kevin for a soo nice Gambitversion! 😀👍♟
Kevin Butler: Absolutely excellent!!!
Thanks John. Glad you enjoyed it.
Decline lines please. I regularly use the Evan's Gambit and this is right up my alley.
Black can play Nxc3 and Nd6 booth of them gives him at least +1 Pawn and easy Game. ;)
Can you bring back your old voice and old mic. It was lower quality but it brings back so many memoriessss
This might be the first time I've ever been asked to bring back the old mic. Your request made my day. I actually still have it. The voice request is a little harder to bring back .
@@chesswebsite LOL let me know if you plan on making a video with the old mic! I'll sit down with my chess notebook like the old day 😂
Just how aggressive temperament that guy had who came up with this gambit?
i really really want a second video for the decline lines
King F6 is the best move because e1 is the only other non losing move. The other 2 moves gives white a +5. And E1 give white a pin with the rook
still waiting for the stafford gambit declined video

What if I was actually first and said first?
Nobody would care

Great video, clear explanations. Would appreciate a slowdown of the video of the moves so I can consider each one.
For every Gambit and Attack, there is a Defence.
What the last guy said, big up Kevin from the chess website
Well this is simply insane ... I recommend this opening to all club player
5:22 cant white just go bishop to g5? and woin queen?
18:46 what if they play qf6
Make videos on the other lines too (if knight take C3). Great stuff. 👍
Missed checkmate on 16..Nxf3 checkmate in the third variation there
@TheGuy WhoPlaysChess just trust me I'm an IM
@@Imstillfly5838532 That's easy to say.
This is good but I would be interested in the line starting Qc5+ Ke8, Re1 Qf6, with black Nb4 following soon. I couldn't manage to nail that one.
At 4:15, the fact that moving his King into the center is what the analysis suggests means that Black is in big trouble
Even stockfish has a hard time understanding this gambit.
Very good, thanks. Do you know another gambit similar aggressive?.
No need to ask us if we like your videos m8, seriously. Just keep doing what you're doing 👌
moving Ke8 then Qf6 is a clear winning position for black. if you go after queen with bishop g5, Qf7 is very safe.
This seems really foolproof playing as white, I try to play aggressive whenever I play chess and this will be something I use a lot as White. Please post next sessions if you can!
In the third move, instead of knight f6, if black plays dark square bishop to c5, then how white will proceed.
Here’s the damn subscription, loving this
