Glad you liked it. Handmaster Plus is being used world wide in sports, music and in the workplace. People must learn to strengthen AND balance hand muscles for max performance.

    Dear akashwadhwani:
Thank you for your question. We have researched TPE material and QC aggressively and have made enormous improvements from the original cords. We closely control the material used and the manufacturing process and are now using a leading USA material in all of our cords. The durability and feel of the cords are excellent.
    Best,

Be consistent. There is no better way to improve circulation, as well as strengthen and balance hand, wrist & forearm musculature.
    Best,

@Ometopada : Good point! Hand, wrist and foream muscle tone and balance is the most important consideration. With great tone and balance comes strength, speed, flexibility and blood flow. Key 4 health & performance. Unless u r very strong naturally (small percentage of population) the medium strength Handmaster Plus is the proper choice. 1-3 times per day until u experience a comfortable fatigue is suggested. For each session, desired exercise usually requires no longer than 1-2 minutes. doczac

@Pianda ....is it still a consequence of primary problems in the cervical spine that seondary caused the Rhiz-arthrosis-problems? For the others: NEVER let you operate, always check the actual underlying problems for finger-thumb-aches and do excercise! Thank you doctor!!!!!!

    ChaserHUN:
Be consistent and follow directions. It is very important to re-establish blood flow and ROM. If you would have trained traditionally (squeeze only), you would probably lose ROM. Good choice. Good luck,

Repetitive gripping motions from practicing my guitar gave me sharp intermittent wrist pain, which went away after 4 weeks of rest. I had practiced too much of the same thing (C major scales) too fast (up to 200 bpm) for too long (1-2 hour sessions) every day for 3 weeks. I'm going to change my practice routine (more variety, slower tempos, shorter sessions) to prevent a relapse. I look forward to using the entry-level HM+ to rehabilitate my wrists and help heal the imbalance that my old practice routine created!

+Fred Chapman Also very important for musicians to understand the 'kinetic chain of grip.' This means that the finger extensor muscles contract in a co-contraction to stabilize the action of the finger flexors (fret hand especially for guitar but also pick hand). The problem that occurs over time is that the finger extensor muscles contract through a tiny range of motion, so over time they will shorten/weaken. When these supportive muscles are weak, flexor muscles have to overwork & cycle escalates. Cramping, fatigue, injury occurs. This is why it is SO KEY TO KEEP FINGER EXTENSOR MUSCLES STRONG THROUGH THEIR FULL RANGE OF MOTION (i.e. Fully opening and spreading the thumb and fingers against resistance). Handmaster Plus allows the musician to easily re-strengthen the supportive finger extensor/abductor muscles, so that the kinetic chain does not break down and finger/wrist flexor muscle contractions are well supported. SO IMPORTANT!!! Good luck. Best, Terry

+Terry Zachary Dr. Z, _thank you so much_ for your speedy in-depth reply! You gave me a much better understanding of what's going on in my body. I know a piano accompanist who is experiencing chronic tennis elbow and forearm tightness, and I've recommended HM+ to him. (He just started working with a chiropractor, and he's studying with some pianists who specialize in a forearm-based rotational technique that minimizes independent finger movement.) It's truly _game changing_ to know there's hope for us, thanks to great practitioners and innovators like you! Thanks for everything you do. - Fred

+Fred Chapman I have a long way to go with my playing, but I really enjoy it. But I've worked with a lot of professionals. Never ceases to amaze me with how talented they are... but also how uneducated about training.. music makes such a big difference in our lives... so happy to help you. very rewarding! Rock on, FC!

+Terry Zachary Dr. Z, are you familiar with the body mechanics work of classical guitarist *Jamie Andreas*? Her book _The Principles Of Correct Practice For Guitar_ teaches guitar players at all levels how to use correct body position and correct movement to release accumulated muscle tension that impedes our progress.
She might be an excellent strategic partner for your HM+ work with guitarists! You could cross-promote each other's work and together help even more people. Here's her website:
      www.guitarprinciples.com/
She also has a UA-cam channel named *GuitarPrinciples*.

I forgot to ask one more thing :)
I'm suffering from Guyon Cannal Syndrom on both of my hands caused by using keyboard/mouse/video games joystick. Would Handmaster Pro help me with it?
I've been resting for almost two months already, avoiding using my hands and now that I'm feeling better I decided to give this a try.

I had an Epping-Plastik-Surgery (Trapez was taken away, I was totally misinformed prior to the OP) - until that I had biggest problems in the hand and in the neck; I later found a doctor who made me a new thumb-angle - he explained me, that Epping-Plastik-Patients do suffer in hand, arm and neck and shoulder bc of the to-short-distance btw the 2 thumbangles, what causes a minor tension in the muscles - but after the 2nd OP I still have to little muscle. tension, coming from the thum area...

would you agree that a Thukmb-OP can cause serious problems in the cervical spine? In the arms and the hand bc. of a permanent incorrect tension of muscles and fibers? Formerly I played piano (which did the first operationd doctor knew) - since the foirst operation my fingers do not work normally for piano; due to the 2nd OP (I got a knew angle out of my rip) the function of the hand is still wrong and the above mentioned problems are still there. Is this a "normal" op-conseq. or is it

    Hi,
I just received my Handmaster Plus medium version and it feels quite hard to squeeze, but I can still make it. Should I replace it with the soft version or just keep on with this one even though it's kindda hard?

I use the hand grip 200lb. Do u think this handmaster plus will be any challenge ???
Or should I just buy the 200lb hand grip?
    I know there's 3 ranges from
    Soft medium and firm
but they (ball and rubber) all look some what "soft" compare to the 200lb hand grip...
Please let me know and thanks for your time

Abdul Hamza ... the Handmaster Plus finger cords resist opening and spreading of the fingers/thumb will definitely challenge you because they strengthen a range of motion that you have probably never done through full ranges of motion (I.E. COMPLETELY OPEING THE HAND). This strengthens your grip stabilizer muscles and will add the your strength, balance, performance and long term injury prevention. We have them used by elite athletes to complete their grip training protocol.

    @Pianda :
Sorry Pianda...Post-surgery is not my area of expertise. I can tell you that we work hard to educate all musicians, athletes and workers to use conservative approaches to any extremity problem before surgery is considered.
