It was optimistic energized with electric dreams and lots of fun. People were a lot less uptight. Not to say there were no problems, we had many but for the most part. I believe people were just better at handling things at that time period.

I ran my own mobile Disco from 1986 to 1993........so many requests for great dance tunes from the 70's to the 90's but never enough time to play them over 4 or 5 hours in an evening ? Still got HALF of my vinyl collection. Would STILL play them for a one off Disco today. What a time to be a DJ !!

This song is so fire. No one really makes songs like this anymore. Music in general has fell WAY off. But at least we've been given these masterpieces to keep going back to.
There's a little revival happening. We have modern bands like The Bad Dreamers and The Midnight bringing back the sounds/feel of the 80s and 90s at least. And doing an excellent job at it. It'll never be like it was, but it's better than nothing!

This song and video...I remember so well, I was around 9 years old, and my mom rented a big TV and got cable for month, since we couldn't afford it all the time it was special. I turned on MTV, and this song and video came on. I just remember being mesmerized and dancing, my mom would blast the volume lol. Will always remember that when I hear this song.

When I feel down and out I put on my ear phones and I go to another world. This world of music I go to there's no hate no color. It's just feel good and happiness. Wish I could live there but I gotta come back to the real world. But I always know where my escape is.
Thought about you last night. Listened to Billy Ocean Get Outta Dreams, Get Into My Car. That song, for some reason makes my hard days go away. Have a great day.

Like I said, when I want to go to another world I put on my ear phones turn the volume up and go to a place where there is no sickness, no government no judgement and no one can't touch me. It's a place where nothing can touch me and I have the best sleep I could ever ask for. I can face the next day with a great song in my heart and mind. Happy New Year.
