I don't comment often but after struggling with Heme for STEP 1 for a while, this has got to be one of the best explanations for Leukemias out there! Thank you Dr. Neil. I love your story and everything you stand by. Thank you for all your help.
Not even halfway through this video & I just HAD to pause to comment HOW GOOD THIS VIDEO IS!!!!! I love how you made the chart & labeled the cancers right there. This has never made so much sense until now! Thank youuuu! On my way to continue this video now
you're so talented to the point where u make everything look so simple that im like "how on earth was i getting all of these easy questions wrong?" thank u so much for turning my weakness into my strength!
Great video, one point any CD marker less than 10 is for T cell and CD 10 and above is for B cell. the only exception is for CD 5 which is a b cell marker. If CD is above 100 like CD 103 it's a marker for Hairy cell leukemia.
i hoped that i know you before now, you are a miracle doctor makes my study a looot easier , i don't know how to thank you , i hope that i pass my exam in March and write you another comment.
@@RandyNeilMD im struggling with hematology questions except the part of leukemia that you did so please can do another videos of hematology and oncology
You are the best lecturer and professional teacher that makes the contents much easier and interested to learner! You have the knowledge and you know how to explain it👌👌👏👏💐💐🙏🙏 thank you so very much for amazing work
You are so unique. I love the fact u teach with questions. This helps more than trying to listen to a butch of videos, but when u get to question a u look dumb. Marvelous job!
Thanks, better to put this one first. i went through all the others already. Very clear very good knowlodge. Thank u very much for explaiing this subject
Amazing!! Thanks so much Doc. And I have to say the ride and the music at the end of the video just takes away the stress and the worries of the exam for a while. Good one!
Thank you so much for this video Dr. Neil! You have made this so much easier to learn along with so many other topics on your channel. Could you please make a video on RBC disorders and the types of anemia, especially being able to distinguish between the different types based off of lab values?
LL (same letters) extremes for age ((ALL and CLL, youngest and oldest) ALL - acute - babies are cute - lowest age - ALL Tde (tdt +) babies have DOWNS (not really but you get my point). (downs = chromosomes = inside the nucleus = Tdt must be inside the nucleus) You have to go through (ages) 1,2,5 to get TALL = T cell markers You have to be 19 to BALL (play basketball good) ( B cell markers) CLL - chronic - oldest age - (LL = extremes - must be one extreme on the age) im horrible at straight memorization of facts so here are some ways I help myself remember - hope this helps! (I hope its accurate as well)
Hey Doc, love your videos. at 10:12 you mentioned the chromosomes for Ewing's Sarcoma I believe. I remember the numbers (11, 22) because a famous basketball player Patrick Ewing's number was 33 (11+22).
Your channel is soo awesome!! I wish it had more views coz more people should know about how we can learn medicine in such a simple and integrated manner. Slightly off topic, but why are all your videos in B&W?
Yumma, Thank you for the feedback... The B/W is more of just a preferred style. Sometimes... it's the OLD SCHOOL... LESS Distractions... plus... hides all the grey hair. :)
Hello Dr. Neil! If i could get those high yield notes that you've mentioned in your biostats videos, I would be grateful! I dropped you an email :) Thank you! Extremely thankful for the biostats videos, they helped a lot!
As stories go, a man named Randy Neil once told me a story, at the end of which he asked if I could tell the story he had just told. Stories being stories, they are easily forgotten but not this story by Randy Neil, no. So I told the story he told me, told it to any and all who would listen. I told the story until it passed into Legend and I told it some more until it became a Myth. This legendary mythical story became the lullaby mothers sang to sing their wee babes to sleep. So tell me, can you sing me this lullaby, this legendary mythical story, the story as told by the storied mythical legend, Randy Son of Neil?
MMO, The story will be told to the next one in line... The story will also be retold when you PASS STEP exams...and move on to the INTERVIEW PHASE. This is just the beginning chapter of your story...
@@RandyNeilMD There must be a solution when editing the video. Just wear non-black clothes and consider the black background as a green chroma. Which software are you using to edit the video?
