    might be a dumb question but is knowing the basics enough to answer questions on step 1

    • @RandyNeilMD
      @RandyNeilMD  2 роки тому +1

      The basics of everything will get you close... But in the bar keeps getting higher. You need the basics "with a little extra" imo.

    Dr Randy in your last example, can shed some light on how elevated WBC count of 45000 supports AML if we are to say maturity down the line should be reduced...i was thinking it should be reduced..

    • @RandyNeilMD
      @RandyNeilMD  3 роки тому +3

      That was my first thinking as well... but read later how AML has elevated... Not sure if it's isolated. I will have to check. Great observation. I think it's having that perspective that will pay off...

    Question : when we say "WBC" isn't that a general term (like all white count, Neutrophil, eosinophils, basophils, monocytes AND T & B count) ?

    • @RandyNeilMD
      @RandyNeilMD  3 роки тому +2

      Yes, my error for now clarifying.. WBC (White Blood Cell count).
      Easy way to remember the % is... Never Let my Engine Blow - 60, 30, 8, 3, 0 (pronounced "oh")... Boy Very My P$%#@ T#%$@#. N-Neutrophil, L-lymphocyte and so on...

      @@Peaceistheanswr Never (Neutrophils)60%
      Let (Lymphocytes)30%
      My (Monocytes)8%
      Engine (Eosinophils) 3%
      Blow (Basophils)0%
      Boy Very My P$%#@ T#%$@# (The first alphabet of each letter corresponds to the Conditions in which WBC% increases)
      (Neutrophils) bacterial, (lymphocytes) viral, Chronic conditions (macrophages), parasites (Eosinophils), tissue damage/inflammation (Basophils i.e Mast cells)

    Where can i find the original video with the teaching of how to approach leukemias?

  • @muhammadsaad9777
    @muhammadsaad9777 3 роки тому

    Dr Randy, WBC was 70000 in 2nd ques n u said that wbc is high which means they have made it to maturity n so are labelled as chronic but in 3rd ques WBC were 45 k while plts were low , 45k for WBC is also very high which acc to you could mean that it's chronic not acute 🤔, Id really appreciate if you can help me with this.... Thank you

    Can you talk about what is a good thing to do to take a break and not lose your mind? Sometimes I start hallucinating and hearing things because I don’t take breaks and even if I do, I don’t know what to do in those breaks.
