@@The_Real_Indiana_Joe My grill has a problem with the computer i think it just wont stop feeding pellets some times and other times it works perfect .
Just picked up mine this afternoon from Lowe's. I haven't assembled it yet, but plan on doing it in the morning. I can't wait to try it out. Still trying to decide what to cook on it first. Thanks for the video showing part of the assembly too. It was exactly what I was looking for.
@quickdraw the man I've used about 5-6 times since I got it. It's an awesome grill. I've been really pleased with it. Smoked some ribs for the 4th, and those came out great. Did some smoked wings and mac and cheese this past weekend, and that was really good too.
@quickdraw the man No problem. I've really enjoyed it so far. I also really like the open flame searing feature as well. Makes finishing off steaks/burgers even better.
Great vid, on the review phase before the purchase of this. Thanks for the details on the first burn showing how it works and tips for assembly. Stay safe.
Just picked this up yesterday and put it together. First cook was today with carne asada. It was a good as anything I have ever had at any restaurant. The trick for that was using the sear feature after smoking it a bit, for me. Got the cover also and cut a tennis ball to put over the lid stop up top so it doesn't wear through the cover.
How does the temp stay in windy and cold days. Would you recommend this pellet smoker? I bought a char grilled 980 and the temps are horrible, off by 150 degrees. Thanks for any input
Hey Superman this one fluctuates a lot also you cant trust it at all. Ive had it for a while now and Im in the process of getting something new. good luck with your grilling adventures and thanks for stopping by the channel led
So first I prime then drop pellets or load pellets and then prime? Also after they fall into ignitor I turn off? I wann just do this burn off right....I have the new 850 series
Hey rudy yes load your hopper and turn it on to the lowest setting. you can use prime if you want to. I never use it i just turn it on to the lowest setting and once it starts to burn i then turn it up to the setting i want. Hope it all goes well thanks for stopping by the channel and have a great weekend

This is my first pellet smoker. How long does a 40 pound bag of pellets usually last? Do you basically top off the hopper and call it a day? How do you designate how many hours of smoke it puts out for example if I was doing a brisket and only needed smoke for 3-4 hours of the cook and wrapped the rest of the time where smoke isn't needed. Thanks for this video
Hey Adam thanks for stopping by the channel A full hopper will last all week if you are doing normal grills like steak, hamburgers, you know normal grilling. if you smoke a pork butt one hopper will burn for 10 hours or more. the biggest thing when doing multiple meals is cleaning out the ash in the bottom. even thow a hopper full will grill all week or more you will still have to clean out the ash in the bottom . thanks again for stopping by the channel led
I just ordered this same grill from Lowes today, curious about paint blistering issues. I have read reviews ranging from best money ever spent to total junk in a few. I guess my question is, have you had any paint issues and if so, would you be so kind as to leave a comment. Great idea using the tailgate to support the load. Thanks for your time.
Hey Kenneth the pit boss has been a pretty good grill for me I have had some issues tho 2 times it has burned out of control and when that happens it will burn the paint clean off of the bottom. it has only happened twice and ive been using one for about 4 yrs so i think over all it is a good grill. There is a learning curve with a pellet grill you just have to use it and learn how it works the temp on them is not constant it will vary as it feeds but with time you will learn exactly how it works. good luck with your new grill and have a great weekend led
Costco in the US has treager pellets for $20 in a 33lb bag. I'm new to this but the $15 for 40lbs of pit boss competition pellets at Lowe's is the best deal I can find
Did you hold the prime button on the initial start up? Can I on the first burn move my temp up to 300 and start moving up slowly due to people saying it peels the paint
Hey GOOSE Ive only used the prime button once. I normally just let it run its course when it comes to starting i just put it on smoke and wait til it starts and then i put it on the temp i want . Hope this helps thanks for stopping by the channel led
@@jasonshoemaker385 Yes I primed it on the initial first start. Since then I have not let the pellets run out so I dont have to prime anymore. Just turn to smoke and go..

Hey Mr RDCS the defuser came with the grill. You can probably order one from pit boss. the defuser helps the grill cook more even without it the center gets just to hot its still not perfectly even but it does help. what i really like about it is the ash lands on top of it and is super easy to clean. thanks for watching led
@@led8541 Thanks for responding. I just purchased the Pro Series 1100, and I am waiting for Lowe's to put it together. I wasn't sure if it came with the defuser.

It's amazing how hot these things can get with that little bitty fire cup.
Yes sir Ive had many of out of control fires in mine.
@@led8541 😬 Is that from grease build up from prior cooks? I get that with the grill once in a while, I just open it and let it burn off.

Always fill that little cup with pellets at the bottom of the grill until the pellets feed thru
