- This is Howard, a rescue barn owl chick that had been handed to me to release back into the wild. Hoping they would foster him as one of their own, I placed him into a wild nest with a barn owl's natural clutch. Watch what happens!

Owls like these are too cute all the time, i just love it so much when it gives you that face, likes its smiling.
Fwiw, the Nov 5 video shows a healthy Howard in his new home helped along by Robert and a fine young bird.
My goodness, I got quite emotional seeing Hans in that tree. It made me realize she’s really all grown up and we may not see much of her and Grete in the future ❤️
hans is female?
@@praise_kek340 from what I remember, yes. When they were owlets it was thought one was a male and the other a female, but they turned out to both be female.

I love owls . I look after a snowy owl called Loki. They are very impressive birds . The owl nest box is very creative . Howard will be so looked after , he will be ok.

Just LOOK at them flying around. Has it been THAT long?? Seems like yesterday they were in their eggshells!! Hans looked so pretty peering down. I hope Howard does well... good for you waiting a bit on your ladder when you put him in there. Perhaps he's to old or the girls are to old & settled to have another mate in their nest!! Lovely update. Fingers crossed that Howard does better in the tower! And it's so wonderful to see Hans and Grete out of the nest box - Hans in that tree during daylight was beautiful.

Only recently found out owls lot more active during the day than I thought. I guess though they "roost" as it were.
Great vid shame he wasnt accepted! Might put up an owl box. Have heard them before. (Tawny owls). Thing is they would probably prefer the local woods..(bracknell forest/windsor forest).
