Everything that sal says in this video is exactly what I love from him when he talks about spider-man or comic books in general, he just gets it man.
Let me tell you sal, spider man unlimited is good, it has a awesome animation style and has some decent stories, in fact it's one of my favorite shows
I find it humorous how they both compare J3 to CNN and Jameson is known for spouting bs and having no facts and just emotion, yet they also say mocking Fox is “ahead of its time”.
J.K. Simmons will always be the perfect casting for J. Jonah Jameson. But, Ed Asner was putting in work. And then Spectacular Spider-Man comes in with Timmy Turner's Dad/Cosmo voicing him, and it's just as immaculate.
Yeah, casting Ed Asner to voice J.Jonah Jameson was brilliant.

Yeah, Batman TAS was head and shoulders above every other cartoon show ever but Spiderman TAS might be the best non Batman TAS cartoon show of the 90s in terms of animation
How could you not tell the difference when the animation changes? I'm like you guys, that was something I picked up on watching it back then as well
I always was shocked when I saw Jameson was married. This show mendella effected my brain so I always assumed she was dead
Yeah sadly when the new adventures of Batman and Robin came around (I wanna say when the series got moved to KidsWB), I just lost track of it

Felicia is the real Gwen Stacy stand in. that's why they made her that way
I didn't mind that the show took until season 4 to show Felicia becoming the Black Cat since it gave time for her to grow during the series. Each season before established her as part of Peter's supporting cast, her personality, showed her relationships and the tragic ends each one had (Morbius becoming vampire and the other boyfriend being revealed to be the Hobgoblin) and her developing feelings for Spider Man (Peter and Mary Jane may be the iconic couple, but Peter and Felicia, at least for me, had better chemestry in the show)
Debra is Ditko Gwen, Felicia is Romita Gwen. I'm talking about the writing by the way.

The spidey show had such fantastic music, and it really boiled him down to the classic basics of girls and girl trouble, self absorbed peter, his caring for aunt may and his friends and over coming his dickishness, his bad jokes he makes solely for his own sake, the animation wasn’t always great but had a serious classic comic book feel to it and the ongoing story arcs captured that vibe as well. Its flawed, but an absolute classic
