Way back in the day, Anastasia did my brows (once lol). She became very frustrated and commented, “your brows aren’t sisters or even cousins; I think one is adopted!” 😂😂😂
Well, here I am a year late, but this video completely changed how I do my brows. I too lifted and partially erase the outer end of my brows, and this really helped with filling them in and looking more natural. I love it. Thank you!❤
I struggle with this because both my eyebrows differ. One is more angled and fuller, the other is round and sparse. I'm glad that you continue to share your new tricks ! Always learn something that helps.
@@AlexandraAnele I turn 32 in less than 2 weeks, so I feel you! Having 2 kids in the last 3 years also added to that. 😂 Also, great detail with the pen. I could see the stroke marks and they aren't all straight one direction which is more realistic to how the hair actually lays, something to remember when I do mine.
Becareful with the waxing and tweezing in your 20's and 30's. It will give you less to work with in your 50's and 60's. Thinning brows are real, and you don't want to spend your golden years painting them on everyday.
@@AlexandraAnele 🤣 You are one of the most beautiful girls in the effing "beauty community". You are one of the two or three I still haven't unfollowed, because I have so much fun. Most of us are actually pretty damn beautiful and we don't need this sh*t. Imho.
You are HANDS DOWN the NICEST, FUNNIEST, and SMARTEST makeup guru on the entirety of UA-cam. THANK YOU FOR TEACHING US. Those of us that are here REALLY appreciate you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Another tip that helps me is tilting my head backwards and looking in a mirror while I’m doing my second brow. It makes it easier for me to get the bottom line/arch even.
I wish I had brows like yours! The 90’s weren’t good for me… left me without fullness and tails. Truly I don’t spend much time on them but I know they are the framework of the face. Thanks for a great tutorial.
Sis. This is gold right here. I'm currently on the journey of trying a new brow-shape look using the tweezer method, and I feel like this definitely gave me some solid direction on how I can up my brow game.
Technique is sooo important! I have the Nyx pencil and when I'd first tried the taupe shade it was too strong. Then I've tried it with a realllyyy light hand it was perfect! :) Also somehow I couldn't befriend the soap brow so I use the got2b Glued gel. It's perfect!
I’m starting to lean more toward a sparser, softer brow using just powder and soap and filling in only very sparingly with the pen where it is patchy. Looks super natural, feminine and soft.
I did the same as you- plucked the tails off a bit, and added more of a winged eyebrow look. I swear it looks like I got a facelift!! Game changer. You're the best. Keep it up.
I literally bought the Nyx lift & snatch cause you recommanded it last year. It's the most amazing thing I ever put on my brows. So easy to use and natural looking. Plus it lasts long. Literally I bought it last year and used it EVERYDAY, the thing still has ink in it, and works as good as the first time. And it costed me only like 12€. Like what's to ask ? 🤩
Loving your end result and I'm going to try out your method step by step. Obviously the difficult part is filling in the sparse areas in a nice-looking and credible way. I do want to master my brow make-up though, because it gives such neatness to the face. Even when I'm wearing minimal makeup!
Your eyebrows are gorgeous with just the right amount of brow hair. Mine are thin and very light so it's a struggle to get them right. It's amazing what eyebrows do to a face. They are VERY important. They can make a face look vibrant and youthful or angry and, imo, they can even age a face. I love your brows, I wish I had brows like yours. GREAT VID!!
Hey Alex, first of all I wanted to say how much I love your channel. My skills have improved so much since I found you! I'm also obsessed with the Pears soap, and wanted to give you a hot tip, if you happen to feel like upgrading from the ziploc bag.... You can chop the bar up into small cubes and then gently melt it in the microwave. This liquifies the soap, allowing you to pour it into whatever container you want to (reuse an empty skincare jar or anything else really)... Once it comes back to room temperature it will solidify again! Thanks for everything & keep up the amazing work 👌
This is where your artist skills come in handy. As an illustrator with naturally sparse eyebrows, I am often grateful for my ability to free hand individual brow hairs. Do you have a UA-cam or Instagram for your art specifically? I want to follow if you do ❤
I have been struggling with how much different my brows are for a few weeks now! My bad brow has a scar where the hair doesn't grow, and I have a hard time getting product to stick to that spot. Thank you for reading my mind and posting this! I have the Nix pen in my ulta cart!
I recently turned 25 and my makeup style has been changing a lot from what I’ve done the past 3-5 years. I found that my eyebrows were looking wonky and wayyy too dark. I realized from this video I was using way too much Anastasia powder!! Thank you so much for this video ❤❤❤❤
It's funny, I actually am doing this exact routine myself, just swapping the soap for Benefit 24hr Brow Setter. I'm trying to get out of the habit of the thick millennial Instagram brows haha. Mine are super uneven, but I find this combo looks super nice and natural! And even if they're still not exact, it looks way less noticeable than a heavier brow. Glad you made this tutorial so more people can learn too!
Obsessed. Thank you Alex!! I recently over plucked my eyebrows after i smoked some mj and so i woke up the next day horrified by my creation lmao this video really helped 😅
Recently just bought the NYX brow pen after watching you use yours in DOZENS of videos. Gotta say, didn’t disappoint! I’m super impressed and now obsessed. THANK YOUUUUU!
Hi Alex, just wanted to say that I've always struggled with my brows! Either they are too full,or too sparse! Forget twins, other's brows are sisters, while mine are enemies 😂 Thank you 💝 for this amazing video ❤️
Love this! My current brow routine is pretty close with the soap and the Nyx pens, but I'm going to try the powder first to get that line and some fullness.
Thank you thank you! First, maybe it’s me, but I think your sound volume is great now! Second, for the up close and personal guide. You always make me a better artist. 😘
I went “in” on my brows for a dramatic look (after growing them 9 months) and WHHYYY. it’s true your natural brows will always be more flattering on you.
Heck yeah! I feel so validated. This is pretty much how I do my brows. Pencil or powder to lay down general color, gel or wax to shape, then the Nyx pen for detail work
I’m not gonna lie my attention span has been ass thanks to TikTok. I’m getting better at watching longer videos with the help of podcasts, but I need to be doing something I can’t just sit and listen or watch them. With that being said I LOVE your videos! I can actually sit here and watch. I like how you explain things and how relaxing your voice is. I appreciate the work you put into these videos ❤
I came across your UA-cam channel recently. I really liked it, very practical and even suitable for women of my age (50+). Which eyeshadow palette would you most recommend for beginners that would be basic and good and varied
My. Eyebrows. Just. Suck!!!! Thanks, Monica and Rachel.....😔😔 Your tutorials are life-giving necessities, in the beauty world!!!!!! If only I had brow hairs to fluff up and utilize!!!! Ahhhhh, I can only dream!!!! Any recs on a brow product that ACTUALLY helps hairs grow back!!??????!! Always appreciate your content!! You're amazing, Alex!! Blessings to you!! ✌🏼💚🙏🏼
i wish i had known the soap thing earlier, i feel like i lived on the moon or something. i always struggled to fill in my blonde eyebrows in a natural way, now theyre finally perfect.
Very helpful! I have so much trouble with my brows. I actually have that soap so I'm stoked for that! I def need to practice though, they usually get pretty crazy so I think I'm using too much lol Have a great day!
I foolishly got my brows micro bladed years ago thinking it would save me doing my brows every day and buying the BS that it was temporary. She didn’t follow my natural (uneven) brow shapes and instead “colored outside the lines” to made them sisters. So now I’m left with faded, patchy, blotchy color outside my natural brow shape that, ironically, requires me to do my brows every fucking day to avoid looking like I suck at doing my brows. Thank you for the tips!
Hey Alexandra, I know you only really work with your face but I’d really appreciate it if you could do a makeup tutorial for almond eyes. I think you’d have some really great tips from your artist background 💗
So helpful, thank you for all of this! You might love ‘Etude Drawing eye brow’ in Gray Brown if you ever feel like trying some K beauty brow products. It’s my go to along with the nyx pen.
You’re so good! Wow! Here’s something for you what if you don’t have any hairs on your brows from chemo years ago and you got your brows tattooed and now I just go over them with the brow pencil do you have any other suggestions to make them look more natural?
Gorgeous!❤ Do you have any tips for how to conceal white eyebrow hairs? I just noticed one at the front of my brow and do not want to pluck it out for fear of creating a bald spot.😭
I’d recommend using a small, detail face shaver. If you have an oops, you can rest assured it will grow back. It’s fast and pain free. You can easily rid the fine brow hairs that only make themselves known when they grab an eyeshadow and ruin the look.
Hey, even by time stamp 2:57 your brow looked great. You make it look so damn easy 😮! I need to practice practice practice bcz brows are everything when it comes to the look of the face 💕
So many (if not all) brow tutorials start with brushing the hairs up....but my hairs grow down. And it doesn't work to just apply the sane steps in reverse. It's a very different situation.

*EVERYTHING.*
Another tip that helps me is tilting my head backwards and looking in a mirror while I’m doing my second brow. It makes it easier for me to get the bottom line/arch even.
That’s brilliant! My eyes are uneven (think Shannen Doherty, Natalie Dormer) making it nearly impossible to create even brows!
