I loved entry on BD2. The beast master bard thief gambler battle was the first one I beat. I really had to break out the cheese strat to stand a chance and it was still super tough. I managed to get 3 of the 4 legendary weapons at the end though, so it was super worth it
The only pain is having to grind job levels. It's so boring, I was listening to a lot of podcasts that week. Had anxiety from reading how difficult he is then I beat him first try. Lol
The second DLC for Doom Eternal was fantastic. The first one I actually turned the difficulty down from ultra violence because I found it to just be a bit too frustrating, but I left it on during the whole of dlc 2. It is a gruelling fight but I expected nothing less from taking down the Lord of Hell
Fun fact for Raven Beak, if you drop a power bomb as soon as he summons his black sphere (same with his orange sphere in the final phase) it will obliterate it instantly and it almost always drops a power bomb to replenish it when you do. Makes the fight so much more manageable.
Top 10 Dying Light Easter Eggs before #2 comes out would be cool. Jog my memory for what to look for because man Excalibur and Mario Glider Hat in a zombie game ... nuff said
You can kind of cheese Corrupted Toshi by keeping his back against the wall. He always does a step back when he wants to dodge or after he gets hit. You can reset his step back by charging up a heavy attack and repeat. I think the mask maker was harder then him.
Weiss is not that bad, prototype is harder. The big thing is parry materia. If you use parry when he attacks you, he gopes into a pressured state and you can punish him with attacks. He wont move when you parry him. You can parry some other attacks and go over his head, and kick him in the head and that pressures him and he wont move. PArry his required for that guy. Just look up weiss parry materia tips and he actually becomes a cake walk. Pride and joy on the other hand, that one was brutal.
They were all easy imo legendary difficulty wasn't nearly as bad as I thought It would be, easiest hardest difficulty in any game I've played in a while actually
@@LegionGaming22 really I was just about to start legendary mode after my first playthrough. In my head I was just worried about the final boss and losing courage but I guess jumping around and sniping enemies with the drops is not as bad as I think it is
Holy shit the mask maker tore me a new one lol😅😅😅 He prepared me fore the Corrupted Toshi fight to be honest because I basically had to learn to use the teleportation move and counter move near perfectly in order to beat him. Also the hunter was another infuriating boss. Personally I think one of the toughest bosses in the game for me was the Blacksmith. My God that girl gave me hell lol.
Yeah idk for me the hardest was Taro cause he needed fairly precise timing for a parry and he’s lightning fast and you are fairly weak in terms of abilities and rot, otherwise the final boss gets a little tilting when you get to phase 3 consistently just to make a silly mistake sending you back to phase 1..
Juzo Amon's fight is insane but probably is my third favorite Amon fight, only surpassed by kiwami's and the one in the first Judgment. He's op and uses way to many dirty tricks but in a fun way.
For me the hardest boss recently was Shiva from PSO2. Tried her probably 50+, and kept coming back. But then one day, I just randomly jumped on and gave it a go...got her that time! I'm sure I'm missing a few but she definitely tested me.
I'm sure you wouldn't consider the Playstation 2 as recent, but should you do a video on that era of games: there is a heavily underrated game called Orphen Scion of Sorcery. The final boss, Gaia, is unreal hard. Huge difficulty spike, lengthy battle with no check points, and he has so much life. It was one of the most frustrating gaming experiences of my childhood.
The first half of returnal was pretty easy. After a couple deaths, I ended up making it through the first three bosses on the fourth of fifth try. After the world changes, though. God damn. That second half gets rough. The trash mobs are still messing me up.
The most annoying grunts in halo infinite are definitely those tank ones who you have to get behind to damage because by god those cannons they use are so infuriating and heroic difficulty doesn’t make it any better but even on that mode the bosses aren’t terrible …even esstrasum or whatever his name … the grunts are harder to deal with than the actual bosses … especially when you got waves and needle guns swarming at you while you’re trying to snipe them all grr
I don’t know if this count as a boss but the hardest “boss” I have encountered in recent games are the two hunters that shows up in the floor 100 in The Summit of The Division 2. Doesn’t matter in what difficulty you play The Summit they always will be on legendary difficulty, they can also use all the skills and they constantly spam you with either emps or bullets that deactivates your gear
Lol I recently tried it out and no matter how much you learn online on how to cheese em, by stun locking em with grenades and stuff, you still get your ass kicked constantly. I think I lost at least 20 to 30 times. Maybe more before I got it once hahaha
For me Heisenberg from Resident evil Village was a pain on the highest dufficulty. I tried so long because this fight is so unbalanced and unfair in my opinion.
For the Boss in Lost Judgment there is an Extract that you take and you do really strong movies by pressing the 0 button. With that you you can stun him and keep attacking him. This is what I did. I did had 5 extracts of this one.
That's actually really valuable info. Was just about to go through the game again (first time was for story 2nd is for 100%) and I figured you'd have to fight an amon again
Corrupt Toshi and Corrupted Rot God were so tough. I first played Kena in Hard since I thought it’ll be just an easy game. But it was like Dark Souls. But I managed to beat the game in Master SpiritGuide difficulty. It was draining but very cool.
I’ve never found the amon brothers to be that tough. In like a dragon the true final dungeon is the only thing I struggled with, the difficulty was night and day.
I really appreciate that you're putting spoiler alert at the start of the video. You can expect it from the title, but sometimes I just don't think and play the video. Thanks
That boss nearly made me quit the game but I was really stubborn and ended up beating the boss. But I only have one word to describe that boss fight. PAINNNN.
Him using the lightning attacks actaully makes the fight a lot easier. It isn't a hard fight though. I found Demon of Hatred with his football-field-sized hitboxes the hardest boss in the game.
I loved the raven beak fight. To destroy the black hole thing, just fire four missiles at it. Then run up to him quickly to avoid his energy field attack. I beat him on hard mode pretty easily since I had his attacks memorized after normal.
I found the final boss in Returnal the easiest. It was my one gripe with the game. I feel that bosses should escalate in difficulty culminating in the hardest boss in the game. Returnal didn't have this on the final boss unfortunately. still a FANTASTIC boss fight, but gimicky. A Final boss should not be gimicky. Returnal is still my GOTY for 2021 HANDS DOWN. Nothing compared to it for me personally.
Poor Ophion, like you said he is not a bad boss by any means. Unfortunately for him the previous boss, Hyperion, is not only much harder than him, he is also way, way more memorable so it's hard not to feel disappointed.
in metroid dread you can power bomb the nova balls and they'll be atomized. If you drop one as soon as Raven beak starts setting up the attack, the bomb will fire off right after RB lets out the nova, giving you rockets and energy. I actually discovered this by accident because i kept trying to use the superbombs to damage him in my first 2 attempts lol
“There’s no other boss gimmick more annoying than when a boss heals themself.” There’s a hidden boss in the good old’ Megaman X Command Mission who is one of those doom countdown bosses. You gotta beat him in a certain number of turns, or else he full heals and turns off easy mode.
I enjoyed fighting the bosses in Bravely Default 2 for the final job class abilities as well as the unique weapons you can equip your party members that give you ALL the abilities of a particular class. One of my all time favorites.
I am proud to say that i have beat Bassus on legendary, I didn't know about the cheese spot unfortunately tho that would have been nice. Loving halo infinite campaign and mp so far!
Same. I never ever get angry playing games but this guy almost pushed me to boiling point. Many times I had to turn the Switch off and walk away otherwise I probably would have flung it across the room and damaged it.
Raven beaks energyball is the easiest attack to avoid in my opinion... it's super obvious when he does it and you can just back up a bit and ready your rockets to shoot it down.
I didn't struggle with raven beak much. I actually looked forward to his energy ball because you can take it out with only 3 or 4 missiles faster than he can do his next attack. And it gives you ammo and health. That energy ball seems like it was meant as a gift/relief for players during the fight, not annoying at all.
I actually thought the bosses in returnal pretty easy. GETTING TO the bosses is freaking hard. But except for the first and second bosses, I never got beaten by any of them.
Same here, i finished the entire game in 8 runs. Had to replay a few times to actually get more of the logs. Aside for the first time i fought the second and last boss, GETTING to them was the biggest hurdle. Those red arrows that give malfunctions were monstrous
I had to use the save scum exploit for nemesis because I didn’t wanna keep doing the damn citadel and again to get through Hyperion although I probably didn’t need to. @@389martijn I was surprised he wasn't on this list tbh. But then I remembered that most people who watch these videos are the COD/GTA/Ubisoft type and it made sense.
So, I typically play Doom games on Hurt Me Plenty. However, TAG2 was the first time I finished a Doom campaign on Nightmare, and while it took me a while to get the strategy down pat, The Dark Lord is NOT a hard fight in the slightest, both Samur and literally everything *prior* to your arrival in Immora is more of a challenge.
Hardest bosses for me in recent years was doing a Code Vein solo run, the bosses are mostly designed with 2 players in mind, so it's just way harder than even Dark Souls, hell they seemed relatively easy in comparsion. I find making a challenge run like that can produce some of the hardest and most satisfying bosses to beat, as you don't know if they are even beatable with your challenge, like beating a pokemon game when the enemies are always level 100 (Swear some guy did that).
@@fr33z3y06 oh man, those assholes seriously made me sooop frustrated. Such a fun game though and glad I did it solo, I feel like using the AI partner made it too easy, wish it was balanced better for solo.
For those struggling with Raven Beak's Energy Ball... Storm Missiles. Use Storm Missiles. Also Raven Beak has 3 Phases. >.> First phase: Black Sphere and Anti-Air Second Phase: He's flying and turns it to a bullet hell Third phase: Back on ground, doesn't use Taunts or Anti-Air red wave anymore, but adds a Red Nova ball that requires Power Bomb to destroy.
Ravenbeak I feel is one of the bosses that encapsulates the idea of "Easy to beat, hard to learn." Thing is he has a lot of moves, and chances are you're not going to know what to do the first time he pulls a new one out, so you'll likely die a handful of times before you see them all and figure them out. But when the time comes and you do actually beat him it'll be a pretty clean, possibly even no-damage run. I'd say the only time the fight ever goes against this is when he summons the giant sun. You can powerbomb it but it might not be too easy to do it safely, and if you opt out of doing that then you have 2 obstacles to watch out for as you continue to fight which can be tough to navigate.
If you want some raven beak tips I got them! Phase 1 1: to counter the black hole shoot it with rockets a few times and it becomes one of his easiest moves 2: after his cone attack, where he funnels you next to him, jump over him to avoid him slashes Phase 2 Storm rockets are your best friend, lock onto him any chance you get, so basically all the time for big damage 2: always be moving. All Raven beaks attacks can be dodged by bouncing around him 3: don’t use omega bombs unless you want to give Raven beak a free hit Phase 3 Same as phase 1 but with the sun to distract you although Raven beak is vulnerable when he’s launching the sun
Tip for Ravenbeak's black orb attack: Immediately shoot it with 3 or 4 ice missiles and it'll be gone. If you're quick about it, you have enough time before he continues his attack, and destroying them will replenish your life and missiles.
Had to spend 3 days and twenty plus attempts in order to defeat Ravenbeak. Tip: make sure to have at least 4 power bombs, because the dark purple balls are the least of your problems, the yellow ones that look like a sun is even worse. And use multi-lock missiles against the purple balls...
Not saying that last boss in Metroid Dread wasn't tough, that energy ball you mentioned was the easiest part of the fight. It only took something like 3 missiles to break it, it was giant so it wasn't hard to hit, and it dropped ammo and health when you broke it open. It was nice when he used it, not some hard-to-dodge attack or anything.
hey man I just play games for fun not for challenge. thanks to you for mentioning those games for not playing at all. what inspires me for playing games is story or relaxing after a hard challenge for photography to earn money for buying games 😄
Aw man real sad you didn't mention SMTV DLC fight Demi-Fiend which remixes his infamous fight from Digital Devil Saga, people spend hours just to prepare for him
i just came here to comment that. that queen was so hard. i had to do all the side misions to get everything gold and upgrade that to max to beat her. her flashy attack nd one when she comes from above eats over 70 percent of health in one go
I liked how you showed Darkeater Midir as a boss that Kena can give a “run for their money”. I was like “nope” lol. Darkeater Midir is probably the hardest souls boss I’ve ever beaten and that was even with three other people helping me.
I am sorry for commenting on a past video but I recently got my hands on Lost Judgement a few weeks ago and I unlocked the fight with Amon in Gauntlet after beating the main story. Anyways I completely get your frustration with him with all his mumbo jumbo abilities especially the fire attack 🤬, but the clear strategy for me was 1. Just keep Taunting and build your meters to full 2. DON'T LET HIM BREATHE with Ex Boost strong attacks. After I did that it wasn't really too much Felt good
I got SO LUCKY with Baasis from Halo because I had shock grenades and my OWN gravity hammer… I made such short work of him on Heroic I was surprised, didn’t get a single hit on 117
0:17 do you have to use the grappling hook to dodge hes first hammer atack ? I never played Halo Infinite and i wonder if that´s how the battle started how amazing it would be .
Gave up with Returnal recently as I found it extremely stressful to play but that doesn't mean I still don't consider it a great game because I do. I will go back to it but for now I just need a break.
The big black ball from Raven Beak takes four missiles. Take it out and you get missiles and energy back, and he just stands there for several seconds after he fires this one, so it basically is a boon for him to use that attack once you learn this. I'm not great at games, but learn the patterns for any Metroid Dread enemy and you can take them down consistently.
Metroid Dread surprised me. Amazing game. My only complaints are the Purple Emmi is bs. The other is the price; $60 is too steep for a 12-15 hour game.
With Fu from No More Heroes 3, once he starts doing the area of effect attacks you can still attack him using skills, just have to figure out which ones counter which attack.
I feel like you saw my comment about bassus and that makes me happy. I posted it on a previous difficult bosses video right after inifite came out lol. I did the cheat way after dying about 100 times and my fiance was getting worried i might be getting too stressed over a game
Another one that i think deserves to be in top 3 is the absolute radiance, not only It is a big endurance test to get to the fight cuz you need to do a Boss rush First, but also because the fight is REALLY hard, and If you die you need to restart ALL over again.
The hardest bosses for me: Sepharoth from The final fantasy seven remake and the kingdom hearts games. lol 😆 edit: oh and Yazora from Kingdom Hearts 3.
For me it was that hard. Since I’m hard mode I had Gotterdamerung that gave instant and faster recharging limits for cloud and I could easily take out a chunk of his health
it took me four hours to beat the dark lord in doom eternal. I only died once, it just took that long to get his healing healthbar down. Worst boss ever
There are way harder mmo bosses than the p4s. Any ultimate or from ff14 or any final boss on mythic in wow is much harder than the one you mentioned. That was kind of a weird pick if you were going to pick a hard mmo boss. Love the vids, you are my fave gameranx creator, keep up the good work!

@@389martijn I was surprised he wasn't on this list tbh. But then I remembered that most people who watch these videos are the COD/GTA/Ubisoft type and it made sense.
What about the hooded figure in birth by sleep
He has a cheese strat though that you don't even really have to do anything except jump and hit to beat him
So, I typically play Doom games on Hurt Me Plenty.
Blade bearer and cannoneer just fucking frustrates me thinking about it lol
@@fr33z3y06 oh man, those assholes seriously made me sooop frustrated. Such a fun game though and glad I did it solo, I feel like using the AI partner made it too easy, wish it was balanced better for solo.
@@RepublicofODLUM Oh I definitely agree it was a little too hard solo but it was super fun using the ai kinda kept all the heat off you lol
For those struggling with Raven Beak's Energy Ball... Storm Missiles. Use Storm Missiles.
Also Raven Beak has 3 Phases. >.>
First phase: Black Sphere and Anti-Air
Second Phase: He's flying and turns it to a bullet hell
Third phase: Back on ground, doesn't use Taunts or Anti-Air red wave anymore, but adds a Red Nova ball that requires Power Bomb to destroy.
Lmao it's ok to heal yourself with the 50 potions you stocked up on but when the boss does it "it's not fair"🤣
For me, Mike Tyson in "Mike Tyson's Punchout" will forever be the hardest boss fight of all time
i love how you mentioned FF14 that fight in savage is really no joke been trying to beat him for the past few weeks
Great vid as always, thanks!
Ravenbeak I feel is one of the bosses that encapsulates the idea of "Easy to beat, hard to learn."
Thing is he has a lot of moves, and chances are you're not going to know what to do the first time he pulls a new one out, so you'll likely die a handful of times before you see them all and figure them out. But when the time comes and you do actually beat him it'll be a pretty clean, possibly even no-damage run.
I'd say the only time the fight ever goes against this is when he summons the giant sun. You can powerbomb it but it might not be too easy to do it safely, and if you opt out of doing that then you have 2 obstacles to watch out for as you continue to fight which can be tough to navigate.
i love this channel you guys made me want to make video games and i just started creating my first one.
Gameranx is the absolute best meal time show
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who struggled with Kena bosses and thought I switched to a souls game
If you want some raven beak tips I got them!
Phase 1
1: to counter the black hole shoot it with rockets a few times and it becomes one of his easiest moves
2: after his cone attack, where he funnels you next to him, jump over him to avoid him slashes
Phase 2
Storm rockets are your best friend, lock onto him any chance you get, so basically all the time for big damage
2: always be moving. All Raven beaks attacks can be dodged by bouncing around him
3: don’t use omega bombs unless you want to give Raven beak a free hit
Phase 3
Same as phase 1 but with the sun to distract you although Raven beak is vulnerable when he’s launching the sun
Some Tales of Arise bosses could have been mentioned, too. On the hardest difficulty, they don't mess around.
For real. I got stuck for hours on the second boss because he does that attack where he just destroys the entire group
Yes the good old days I love these videos
Tip for Ravenbeak's black orb attack: Immediately shoot it with 3 or 4 ice missiles and it'll be gone. If you're quick about it, you have enough time before he continues his attack, and destroying them will replenish your life and missiles.
I feel like I've missed so many good games (I've never heard of) after watching this channel
#10 you can also bring a turret into the room and put it down where you think you will end up after the cut scene. That's the only way I got through.
Cool. Thanks for sharing this.CHEERS from New Jersey USA
Thanks for watching!
@@gameranxTV 👍👍👍
Not saying that last boss in Metroid Dread wasn't tough, that energy ball you mentioned was the easiest part of the fight. It only took something like 3 missiles to break it, it was giant so it wasn't hard to hit, and it dropped ammo and health when you broke it open. It was nice when he used it, not some hard-to-dodge attack or anything.
Yeah, and he fires it and just stands there for you to destroy it. Once you learn that, it's actually a benefit.
You can put all of these bosses on the same team and they'd still get destroyed by Fatalis.
I haven't tried that halo boss on legendary, just heroic, and I beat him pretty fast. Thanks for the ledge tip for when I do the LASO cheevo.
hey man I just play games for fun not for challenge. thanks to you for mentioning those games for not playing at all.
what inspires me for playing games is story or relaxing after a hard challenge for photography to earn money for buying games 😄
Aw man real sad you didn't mention SMTV DLC fight Demi-Fiend which remixes his infamous fight from Digital Devil Saga, people spend hours just to prepare for him
Damn bro u guys forgot the God of war valkyries😭😭😭t..they hard af espically the final queen one
i just came here to comment that. that queen was so hard. i had to do all the side misions to get everything gold and upgrade that to max to beat her. her flashy attack nd one when she comes from above eats over 70 percent of health in one go
I mean, that game came out in 2018…I don’t think that’s recent.
@@ChronosSSR ohh yeah i forget it. cause i dont have PS so i played it when it came to PC.
@@karansharma2738 all good, hope you had plenty fun with that gem! The more people exp that game the better 👌🏻
I think I'll enjoy my games and not lose my sanity thank you. Normal mode for me!
Lost Judgment on the thumbnail...is a big win! 💯
That corrupt Toshi is definitely a very hard nut to crack. Brilliant game but hell…tough at times.
I appreciate you guys listing the spoilers at the start of the video
I liked how you showed Darkeater Midir as a boss that Kena can give a “run for their money”. I was like “nope” lol. Darkeater Midir is probably the hardest souls boss I’ve ever beaten and that was even with three other people helping me.
I am sorry for commenting on a past video but I recently got my hands on Lost Judgement a few weeks ago and I unlocked the fight with Amon in Gauntlet after beating the main story. Anyways I completely get your frustration with him with all his mumbo jumbo abilities especially the fire attack 🤬, but the clear strategy for me was
1. Just keep Taunting and build your meters to full
2. DON'T LET HIM BREATHE with Ex Boost strong attacks. After I did that it wasn't really too much Felt good
I was so happy when i finally beat the dark lord in doom eternal!
Same😂
I got SO LUCKY with Baasis from Halo because I had shock grenades and my OWN gravity hammer… I made such short work of him on Heroic I was surprised, didn’t get a single hit on 117
It was a nice surprise to see Hesperos at the bonus, it's a nice and really hard fight on 2nd phase, thats for sure.
Day 3. Would you mind making a top games list where you create yourself or create a character?
0:17 do you have to use the grappling hook to dodge hes first hammer atack ? I never played Halo Infinite and i wonder if that´s how the battle started how amazing it would be .
I will never forgive doom for making that boss so hard
Bethesda owe me a new controller 😤
That savage raid in ffxiv kicked my ass. But I got lucky eventually! Glad to see ffxiv recognition on this channel!
I'd have to add in Satan from Dante's Inferno, simply because I couldn't stop laughing and getting owned as tears filled my eyes.
I feel like you saw my comment about bassus and that makes me happy. I posted it on a previous difficult bosses video right after inifite came out lol. I did the cheat way after dying about 100 times and my fiance was getting worried i might be getting too stressed over a game
I appreciate the spoiler list at the start!
Sephiroth is a Beast... Haven't had the pleasure of the Remake yet....
Any boss can be a ruthless fight if you start any game in hardest difficulties.
**Usually is the best way to play**
Great video
Thanks
There are way harder mmo bosses than the p4s. Any ultimate or from ff14 or any final boss on mythic in wow is much harder than the one you mentioned. That was kind of a weird pick if you were going to pick a hard mmo boss. Love the vids, you are my fave gameranx creator, keep up the good work!
Not a final boss but shout out to FH5 on Unbeatable difficulty and it’s physics-defying AI lol
A hardest boss list that doesn't include a single FromSoftware enemy while still acknowledging them. THAT'S why Gameranx is the BEST at what they do! 😍
