  • EMILY's List, an abortion-rights political organization, has launched a 30-second TV and digital ad that both publicly supports Vice President Kamala Harris' newly launched presidential campaign and attacks former President Donald Trump over the fall of Roe v. Wade and abortion rights.
The ad, titled "Kamala Harris for President: The Time Is Now," is the first effort by the organization to publicly support Harris' campaign.
The ad touches on Roe v. Wade as abortion access remains a critical issue for voters in an election year.

Why would the Military be saluting this women. She is not the commander in chief. The President is the only civilian to be saluted.

After making that statement Trump said “and gave it back to the states” which is where it should be.

She’s running a senate campaign at best.
The US isn’t worried about abortion. It’s worried about putting food on the table.

When Kamala talks about rights being taken away….yeah, I’m sure plantation owners felt the same way in the wake of reconstruction.

      What an ad hominem comparison.

I lean Trump, but that is one shitty comparison.

@@thaneofwhiterun3562 no, it’s a rather accurate comparison. Both rest entirely on the premise that the “rights” of one class of people are superior to the the defined “subhuman” class, largely based upon the former’s personal convenience. Like slaves, the left’s position is that we shouldn’t even consider the possibility that an unborn child is a human being with potential. Similarly, slavery supporters dismissed abolitionists on the basis that blacks were subhuman. Second, compare the Supreme Court’s opinion in Dred Scott v Sanford to Roe v Wade. The former declared slavery to be the supreme law of the land despite the text of the constitution making no mention of it. Roe similarly decided that the state couldn’t deny abortion except in limited cases based upon a so-called broad-based right to privacy despite there being no mention of one in the text of the constitution. Further, in both cases, the court’s ruling was largely an attempt to settle “political” conflicts. I would say the comparison is actually quite accurate.

@@thaneofwhiterun3562 also when I say the left does not want you to consider the possibility that an unborn child is a human being with potential, consider the fact that planned parenthood and other anti-life groups openly oppose common sense laws like requiring an ultrasound and are pushing states to place restrictions on pregnancy care centers that operate to help people in crisis have their babies. The democrat mantra used to be safe, legal and rare, so how could that be? I encourage everyone who either has no opinion on the subject or supposedly supports abortion to spend some time viewing photos of the fetal remains after an abortion. There are so many stories of doctors and medical professionals experiencing a change of heart when they were confronted with the violent realities of what they were doing. Even Bernard Nathanson, who founded the organization now known as NARAL experienced his own change of heart and became a pro-life advocate, only shortly after the Roe opinion was handed down.

@@nickirmen358 And I would retort than on a matter as incredibly more ambiguous than this.
With late term abortions not being the same as early term abortions btw (idk, imo I feel like you're literally killing a baby after the 7-6th month). With the subject of rape and underaged pregnancies and reproductive rights and health issues.
I feel like comparing this discussion in any way to something reassembling the slave owner's arguments to keep and make humans suffer for their profit is completely dishonest and serves to paint a picture of pro choice people being basically evil.
There's people out there that think fetuses aren't people and we shouldn't care. I am Not one of those people, but I'm not going to vilify a young girl for being raped and choosing and abortion by comparing her to a slave owner, and I'm not going to vilify others for thinking differently.

I said this many times. I don't think Trump got rid of Roe vs. Wade. I always thought people wanted less government interference. By passing it down to the individual States to make the decision on Roe vs. Wade is less government interference because in order of branches, it is: Local, State, and then Federal. Also, if memory service Roe vs. Wade was overturned when Biden got into Office.
