  • When new moonshiner Kimbel gives Mark & Digger a taste of his first-ever run, the pair are unimpressed by the quality of the liquor but respect his ambition. As a result, the seasoned moonshiners take Kimbel under their wing to teach him everything they know in order to make him a better moonshiner and pass on the knowledge to a new generation.

Everyone in this comment section is moving to wide, are you mad think about what they come from culturally in them two men’s time killing blacks was something done basically for fun and yet here they are showing a young gun (being a mix raced one at that) the ways of their trade and there mastery, it shows how much their passion, love and knowledge not only crosses some very unstable bridges but does it in the name of carrying forward that passion and watching the smiles of all three of them shows not a fucking thing matters about colour race anything at all the only thing that does is the love of being moonshiners

Great grandma would bake a pie woth the 🍓 we had found. Got in trouble numerous times about coming home dirty from the woods. My great grandpa worked on the railroads back in early nineteen hundreds and he would have stuff set up and doing all sorts of stuff in the Woods by the back of the house. I grew up next to a farmer named Mr Nance who had been drinking his own for years. Everyone in the area knew he was losing his mind from lead, or at least that’s what they said. I never saw proof of it really, just a drunk old man. UNTIL I was walking one of our horses past a gate to his property where I heard drunken singing. I sat and watched for a while and he came out of a barn with about 8-10 cows following him. He was giving them drinks from the same gallon jug of shine that he himself was drinking. All of them, farmer and cow were swaying, unsteady on their feet. I was about 11-12 and I will never forget that.
It always made me hate drunkenness, I enjoy moonshine to this day but I’d never let it take hold of me like that. Most people I tell this to tell me he was probably having relations with the cows, but for reference he was over 70 years old at the time, so prob not. But you never know I guess 😂
