I haven't watched this series since Jake was a greenhorn. I'm shocked at how Jake has aged, but more so how much respect Sig has for him.
Cigarettes, stress, lack of sleep, poor diet, unshaven
@@123uzuzbut sober
@@123uzuzand well over a decade
Jake learned a lot from Sig. It's cool that Sig taught him, and that Jake was smart enough to listen and learn.
I so love this program Deadliest Catch.
The strength courage family's history's the Hansen legacy Sig drawing the fishing vessel at 11 years old looking very much like Northwestern.
The roots of Jake Andersons family.
Norwegian fishing history
The best series program I've seen .
Cheers to those families
That show true grit .
History of Jake and Sig is so cool to know! Love that part!
Jake looks like his father!
Sig looks like his father!
Love all the guys and the show❤️
Mandy is adopted actually who knows who she looks like
i look like my daddy's brother
@@jameson343434 not funny ! Poor taste humor!
Sig and Jake are my sons
@ And my brothers❤️🔥
Are you my real dad?? 😁
I LOVE this! I was adopted so to see Sig and Jake find family information fills my heart. While I will never know all my background to see Jake learn about his is amazing to me. Bless both of them
Jake has come a long way to be a man.
It’s amazing how passionate Jake is . Very down to earth guy
Happy for Jake to have found his family. 👏🏼❤️
Thank you for providing high quality content. It’s nice not having to hear distortion to get around copyrights to view full length videos.
I am SO proud of Sig and Jake for handling the situation so maturely and respectfully. Sometimes you need to cool off and come back with the intention of finding a middleground. 🥺 Family is what you make it, and boy have they found family in eachother
I like the way Jake worded that. "I like that he's dreaming, I don't like that he's leaving." He can have an issue with the decision making without hating the drive and ingenuity to try something different...
Watching Jake act like a normal human instead of flying into a manic rage at the smallest thing is refreshing.
He looks so much older from just the anger and stress I’d imagine.
Well I mean, when he first became a captain he was very new at it. Out in the middle of the bearing sea, small problems probably seem huge to the unexperienced.
@@phaedrus12134 and hes probably making more money now hauling up empty pots than when he was a new captain actually catching crab
@@senna6547You sound like a real dumbo.
😊ppo
Thank you for having me Appreciate the opportunity for coming in 😁👆
Sig your dad is proud of you ❤
Jake was looking insanely rough over the last few seasons man... Glad to see he's looking a little bit less stressed out and a bit more relaxed.
I Love watching this show now and the first time I started watch this show in 2005😂❤❤
It's definitely a tough job out there!
1:28:30
Based on the usual view of Sig in the captains chair, they make the bridge look very small. But here you can see its like 4 or 5 times the size that they normally portray.
No the wheelhouse is actually not that big.
26:04 shows me how highly Jake thinks of Sig. Sig goes in for a high five. Jake goes in for a hug.
I always laugh when they captain says,”where’d that wave come from”
“The ocean captain. It came from the ocean”😀
Sig and his family are like Yellowstone on the sea. 🌊
What a lot of commercials?
when he said "say valhalla" tears came
Yeah exactly the same here my friend .may he rest at odins table in those great halls
8:08) this guy looks so much the quintessential "fisherman", He practically has barnacles!
From a simple business perspective -- Sig is 100% correct.
I’m so proud of yall!!!
Sig is such an awesome guy 😊
You the man Jake. 👍
Awesome show Awesome blokes 🤠🇺🇸🙏🇬🇧💪👍
I always feel Sig more comfortable here. In front the iPad 😂
Jake Anderson has grown up to be a respected highliner of the Crab Fleet!❤
The years I missed everything's changed.
Except for the fishing.
Ouch! Lost your dinner. Found a funny memory!❤❤❤ Great UA-cam meet up!
MANDY'S THE BAR thanks Sig for teaching Jake and And Mandy not to mention All the family that helped that helped get them their 🎉
no caps on deck!!!
this was brilliant
Great finds buddy! Love squirrel man too!
Best yet to watch.
Sig and his favorite jumper ..😂❤
Jarle reminds me of the guy in a pirate movie that convinces the other pirates to mutiny!!
Hey Sig, you could grab a couple of high quality under water drones drop them down where you think they are schooling and you could physically see how they are behaving on the actual sea floor....
I fished crab back in the early 2000''s, and we were talking about doing this back then... crazy that in 2024, they aren't doing that.
@@YoMamasCasa Many things like that have been tried and are being tried. Crab are always moving they do not stay in one spot, you cannot just follow them around with a boat, you need to predict where they will go through. So even if you follow a school with one boat and try to predict where it will go, you would need another boat to try and set up pods in front of that schoo etc. I am sure it has been deemed inefficient. Instead captains use bunch of data and experience to predict where the crab is most likely to go through.
Just find the crab farts.
manual rudder controls brother
It was nice, but a few cuts of B roll is not new for those who watched it previously. Was it a new video editor? It made sense for the most part. I'll give it a 9.6 out of 10. Deduction for the same crab pots too many times throughout. Freshly caught crab is best LOL
Sig said I'm Glad you see it My Way and Jake said or is it our way. He should have said or is it Norway baha ha
Everytime I watch these videos it reminds me why king crab is so expensive
running your arm on the top of the door is a truly indeginous move.
Troll Crab 🦀
Guttaboys love it.
These days Skirri restaurant serve King Crab only🤷🏼♂️ 400g for 999 Norwegian kroner
($91.35)
There is a todays catch on menu for 375NKR
So no troll crab?

Guess not🤷🏼♂️ Sorry Im late!

@@michaelripley4528 happy new year
Just a thought into the wild world of fishing
Is it because of the water temperature that they cant just send a diver doen immediately when the lines got tangled below the boat?
Jake you just backstabbed Sig!!!
we are spending more time watchinng them repair this rust bucket than actually crabbing what a waste of my time
The editing on this is confusing bc of how it jumps from boat to boat without explaining the timeline and who is doing what and when.
Lot of forced acting as well. Not to mention the use of herring boats to catch crab. Looks dangerous and goofy
Crabbin in Norway is very underwhelming compared to the Bering Sea 🥱💤
That young guy that had a baby with Sigs daughter really jumps to help on the spot.
Where is Edgar I been out the loop for years got back in to watching recently
Got done for some 16 year old jail bait.
Watching these backwards is so confusing look
Coooool
How did you go from 12 to 50 ft which is it 12 or 50
So i just started watching these type of series and they get really excited for in my opinion small amounts of crab... How much are they worth?!?!
Alot
I think its more about the fact they found the crab
Seemss like the deal Jake made was 30.00$ a pound.
@finalresultusI guess like with anything else. It's only worth what someone wants to pay and it fluctuates constantly. Either way probably more than i would be comfortable paying. How the price is set is what I'm curious about. $30 per pound wholesale is crazy to me
@@stunter2875the price is set like everything else. Supply and demand
The only thing worse than a loudmouth, is. " LYING LOUDMOUTH" CPT F---STICK didn't say anything about which rope & I rewound it a few times to see if he did!!! 🤯🤬
It's edited so we don't know what all was done and said
It’s a shame Sig hasn’t got the Northwestern there. The Norwegian boat owner/captain’s seem to want it to fail. How can that guy seriously say “my boat can’t handle offshore seas” it’s a trawler for heaven’s sake!
wheres the northwestern ship?
Exactly it isn't an offshore crab boat
Which season is this? 19?
It's a spinoff Sig did when the Alaskan fishing shut down. This was the first season.
Get the restaurants ready for the seafood coming from the boats ocean from tables of the hotels and other restaurants that cames in handy
THATS HONNINGSVÅG not tromsø btw
Sig thinks like a Scandinavian. It's in his blood, and DNA
Sig, I have had a filling for a long time now, that you have a HP car in your garage 😂. Is it true? What is it? Let us know 😂😂
We need Edgar Hansen back
No fish bait in the cages!
Where do you want to extract 80,000 tons of crab daily? You are not the only one, there are 100 fishing vessels, where will there be so much crab if you dry up the ocean?
Probably less crab due to overfishing.
Or uneven terrain
No they are only allowed to fish according to the regulations. Marine Biologists keep an eye on the numbers. They adjust it every season and if the numbers are in a declined state then they cannot fish it . Golden King Crab was in major decline and it’s being fished after a 20 year rest .
@ I was thinking drag nets method.
Need Edgar back
yeah you know that is not gonna happen though
Wow, did they yap it up in the first season with unnecessary interviews nobody wants to watch.
considering it was just Jake and Sig on the water, they had 1/4th the fishing which means 1/8th the interesting moments on the ships, they had to put in some filler or you'd be watching a deckhand pick his nose for 20 mins lol.
This is at least two different episodes.
Not a fan of mandy, she just waltzed right in and took over edgar's inheritance and didn't even earn it, daddy's little girl!😂
She didn't take his inheritance. He is part owner of the boat. He gets a percentage. What we see on the show is highly edited. We only see a small portion of what really goes on.
Why don't they have respirators?
Sig was right they were fishing in Alaska they not there no more people will buy troll crab local people buying and tourism increase the profile of troll crab markets are established if people are also able to get to know there is a new product
B- break
O- out
A- another
T- $thousand dollars$
& thats how it got the name BOAT & now you know Sig✌
when is a CRAB a FISH dopes
willing to work together thanks!
come on over here! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
finding the Blessings of Abraham thanks!
Go Sig go
Always a whiney Jarle on a crew. I can’t stand people like them. Idc if they are the gd owner they have zero ability to boost moral or lead and are better overboard or on the dock
thanks for coming out thanks to rub off on you! as for the rest of you! believing the Gospels thanks!
I have a 30mts motor yacht and my engineer has a open cheque for parts when I are crossing the Atlantic Ocean, down to the Caribbean holding 200k of spares if you value your life and vessel you will do this
cant do with mandy laters
OLD azxxx RIG they need to invest in better equipment and stop taking so much in profits
First time watching this in years. What happened to the show and who decided to turn this into to a 1980s afternoon soap opera? Are these just hired actors now?
Pretty much, from the look of it.
Exactly. Fake ASF.
The hardest thing in my life i had to do was bury my mom & dad, that kicked me in the nuts ill never recover
I miss Phil.
I just dont like how Sig daughter is a co owner but has she ever deckhand before? There is true value to a bottom up captian verus a top down captian, and she comes off as a top down captian
Obviously you have not been watching the series very long. Mandy has done everything. She has been with Sig since she was a child and he taught her everything.
@johnrowlette7430 there is a difference between doing something for the camera and actually doing a job. I doubt she did real deck hand work
Believe me, she had.
I remember Sigs brother who was deck boss who's only goal was to captian a boat and he had to leave the NW in order to get that opportunity. It's hard to replace a veteran deck boss but no man wants to be a deck boss as a career.
Seems like there is definitely a bit of a script here
As a realist, i hate idealist.
😂😂😂
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
do ur homework
Yeah maybe you should
Uhmm... my dog ate it.😂😂😂
This old guy lost his mind
Do you allow private investors
This drama with Jake is so much bs. So phony too 😢
Show has lost its appeal
Don’t worry Norway has the best search and rescue services better than the USA
WHAT HAPPENED TO the NORTH WESTERN AND WHERE IS SIGS LITTLE BROTHER NORMAN?? NAH...
This is way disorganized
No one missed anything it's always the same thing
They all turn to scripted reality in the end.
