      Livvy Lou no duh lmao, but I’ve also seen where they have full tips that cover your whole nail and they put like gel where the glue goes so some people do it like that, idk

    Okay I just want to give you props because no other person has said what you said about pressing the brush down into the monomer to get rid of the bubbles and then turn the wet side of the brush over into the powder!! props to you!!!! thanks so much!!!

    I admire how you actually went step by step and showed how to actually grab the acrylic with the brush and the proper amount. Really really helped me out thank you so much. I've seen others and I was still not really understanding it but your video broke it down really good.

      I’ve never had a manicure before so I was wondering why do they remove the shine... it seems really damaging or does it make it better when it grows back...? I don’t understand

    • @BlingBlingTheBSOFTHEISS

      plsbreakup If you were just getting a manicure you would not have to dull the surface of the nail.
      This procedure is only for the application of nail tips and acrylic nails.

      Bling Bling The BS OF THE ISS I want the acrylic nail. So I heard it has something to do with the oil on ur nail..? I’m not sure what that means but what will happen if I don’t remove the shine... and it’ll grow back eventually right? And how long does it take to grow back... sorry for all the questions I just want it with my friend to see what it’s like but I’m scared it’ll ruin my nature nails

    Wooooow 😮 this was awesome. I had been getting my nails done nut haven't in about 3years. They always glued the nail to my skin and got the acrylic on my fingers and that stuff would burn. My fingers stayed sore. I want to get my nails done again but I think I will order he kit myself and start doing them. Thanks for this video ladies. MAGNIFICENT 😊

    absolutely amazing video. I'm licenced Cosmetologist 30 yrs watches a lot of acrylic applications and this is by far the best! I just got into doing my own nail since my career concentration as a Color Specialist I don't have a lot of experience in nails . I always struggle with my non dominant hand when doing my own nails, this video is now going to be my go to the next time I do my full set. Thanks a bunch for making an amazing teaching video. You show so well how to do the acrylics I’ve tried for years to get the cuticles I didn’t go to school for it I just watched as mine were done by professionals but I just haven’t been able to get the monomer right for the acrylic powder I keep trying and still have some trouble and watching you I saw that your brush want as wet as I get mine so I’ll try to get it right after your show. Thank you for showing how to do the nails

    Had my nails done two weeks ago by a new tech since I moved to another city. Wound up with a ton of glue between my thumb and the tip and it burned for two days while I tried to gently separate my skin from the underside of the nail. She didn't burp the brush either so I've got some lovely little bubbles in the acrylic. S i g h. Real tempted to just bite the bullet and learn to do my nails at home.

    PLEASE make a list of ALL THE ITEMS YOU USED!! It sucks that I have no idea what primer you used, or the ph balance , the two things that aren’t in my little kit!! 🙁🙁🙁🙁 Definitely not hating though, your video is very informative and just long enough that I don’t feel like I have to skip through 90% of it. First time trying to do acrylics myself, so wish me luck! Although, I do have to go back to Sally’s cuz really don’t want them to lift. Which really sucks because I just put curlers in my hair and used all my nice hair products 🥴... love your video!

      The. Marieedion you can usually just chip it off your skin if it isn’t sticking that much or use nail polish remover, you can also soak your hand in hot/warm water

      I’ve never had a manicure before so I was wondering why do they remove the shine... it seems really damaging or does it make it better when it grows back...? I don’t understand

    • @KiaraSkyNails
      @KiaraSkyNails  6 років тому

      Removing the shine helps with natural oils that build up and prevent polishes from adhering correctly on your nails. When done correctly, a gentle buff and file will never damage your nails. We always recommend ending any manicure with a nourishing oil. Our #5 Nourishing Oil is enriched with vitamins, botanical oils and calcium to help natural nails grow long and strong.

    I want to start to learn how to do acrylic nails because it seems like something I would be interested in. Does anyone know of a good, cheap starter kit that has everything included? Also needs to be able to ship to Canada. If anyone does, can you please reply and add the link

    • @ElizabethMorales-yn8zz
      @ElizabethMorales-yn8zz 4 роки тому

      Danya Venne yea! I heard the Kiss acrylic starter kit is pretty good. Personally I haven’t tried it but you can get it in your local Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, and Target. From the reviews and videos I’ve seen it looks pretty promising! I know for the kit doesn’t have the primer and the dehydrator. But it has everything else. I hope this helps!😊

    can I use the Kiara sky powders as a regular powder instead of dipping?

    • @KiaraSkyNails
      @KiaraSkyNails  7 років тому +3

      Hi Samantha, we don't recommend doing that only because dip powders are so fine they can be difficult to work with monomer.

    • @samanthashepherd6614
      @samanthashepherd6614 7 років тому +3

      +Kiara Sky Nails that makes sense. thanks for the reply! I've been wondering that for a while.

    • @KiaraSkyNails
      @KiaraSkyNails  7 років тому +3

      Your very welcome, feel free to reach out with any questions you may have. We're here for ya! We have used dip powder in 3D molds with monomer and it worked well. But as an acrylic set, it may not be as efficient.

      What monomer I should use for best result?

    • @katrindel4723

      If you do that add some clear acrylic to it and it will be way easier to work with with out changing the color💕
