I tried the first generation Moto 360 back in the day and I liked the concept of a watch that goes alongside my phone but I couldn't get myself to use it and most of the tracking felt limited then. Last year I went ahead and got a Pixel Watch and I loved it! It felt much more connected and cohesive with my Pixel phone and it was a much better looking watch imo. People around me instantly associated it with an Apple Watch and asked when Apple released a round watch. That feels like a compliment to the Pixel Watch.
While it was clearly a first gen device with it's fair share of shortcomings it's what got me back into the concept of smartwatches. I'm now on the Pixel Watch 2 that I got with my Pixel 8 Pro and the Pixel Watch 1 has been handed down to my girlfriend. We're both quite happy with our watches and love changing our watch faces to match either our outfits or to complement eachother.
Hi mate, have you tested any of the band alternatives found in Amazon? I'm afraid of the watch falling off due to not being the 'official' band and breaking the glass.
Thanks for the great review! I like that you actually have shown the speed of the watch and talked about it. This is really important for me. Unfortunately, my first gen Pixel Watch died recently. I blame the water. But I only did 3 trainings with them in the swimming pool. The black circle appeared on the screen and then the whole screen became a green noise. I wonder if I could actually swim with PW2. I afraid that it could happen again.
What if you don’t need fitness, heartbeat, gps and all the fancy stuff. I just need a watch that can display notifications /messages and incoming calls. No microphone, speaker or anything and of course a long battery life. What could you recommend?

I have a Tic Watch Pro 3 that has only recently been updated to OS 3.5. The Dual Layer screen means I can get up to 3 days between charges; it is okay apart from the duplicated Mobvoi apps.
It's that it took so long for it to be updated, as technically the watch is quite smooth. I've not had any hitches with it since the update.
Crap HR tracking though, have been through them all and the pixel watch 2 is by far the best out there for android
I don’t think the display brightness is an issue at all, on my Pixel Watch 2 I just use 50% brightness and I’m okay with it, I live in Perth WA, it’s a really sunny city

If you want the health/stress tracking and sleep tracking and do all the other funltions to battery safe mode how long would it last.
The sense 2 lasts about 3-4 days but has half the battery capacity. Shouldn't it be possible to have a better battery life with the watch 2 when using the watch 2 more or less like a sense 2?
My Mrs wears a recent Samsung watch but I honestly have struggled to justify wearing a watch much less a smart watch. The last wearable i used daily was the MS band... Since then nothing I've tried has been compelling.
Not sure if its the latest update but my pixel watch is now working fine. Well integrated on fitbit.. ECG works , Google pay works..only problem is still battery life.
The only issue i see with Galaxy watches is its wildly inaccurate health datas. If one does not care for these features then definitely go with the GW. for me PW2 is the way to go and hope they will continue to update and improve the battery life.
I still have the S3 Frontier Galaxy Watch, almost 6 years or more and is still working. With power mode on, it strectches to 3 to 4 days and without powermode on, it stays 2 days on straight without charging but it is slow sometimes as its Tizen Software after all.
Same, can't decide whether to buy the pixel watch 2 as I've moved away from Samsung.
For me the PW2 is better than GW6 for several reasons:
- More accurate heart sensor
- More accurate sleep tracking
- More accurate GPS
- No bloatware
- Crown > digital crown
- More unique and minimal design
GW6 does other things better of course.
I just got my Galaxy watch 6. It seems to work pretty well I like it

I had the Moto 360 and almost all of the Samsung Galaxy watches. So far the pixel watch is the best I've ever had. It works so much better with Google Assistant and notifications are easy to respond to and see. I'll go there needs to do is make a bigger model
I got the Pixel Watch 1 for free (my kid got it for Christmas last year and doesn't care for it a year later). Anyways, the Pixel Watch 1 desperately needed the October update for functionality AND the December update for fluidity. Don't get me wrong, had I had this watch since launch, I totally would have returned it just like I returned every single Wear OS watch I ever bought in the past. Being free AND updated to the latest update, it is far less stuttery and has better battery life which finally makes it a better, usable product. I will buy the Pixel Watch 3 this year.
I have an apple iwatch and an apple iPhone, but really really like this watch the Google Pixel 2. To me it looks more like a ladies watch and is not huge.
I dont want to use it for exercising etc, I only want to use it to tell the time etc etc and to be able to change the watch faces when I want.
My question is do I have to get a mobile phone that is not apple to use the watch please ?
You need an Android phone, preferably a Google Pixel phone.
I absolutely LOVE the look of the pixel watch, reminds me of the Galaxy watch active 2 I used to have, but I can't get past the terrible battery life. The galaxy watch active 2 I would get 6 days with power saving mode, 3 days without power saving mode. My Galaxy watch 5 pro gets 4 days with power saving mode, 2 days without power saving. I can't use a watch with less than 2 days of battery, completely makes the watch useless if I want to use sleep tracking
That's the reason I have been with garmin, the only watches the battery last loooong time with constant heart rate
I use my GPW2 with all its features. It gives me 24-30 hours of battery. I put it in the charger when I go to the shower. When I go out, it is perfectly charged to 100%🤷🏽♂️
I've had the zen watch and zen watch 2, as well as the fossil gen 5 watch. It wasn't until I got the Samsung watch 5 pro that I really liked a watch. Will be hard for me to go back to anything that isn't Samsung.
Hey, thanks for the video on the pixel watch too but I ended up getting the galaxy watch 6. I think it’s a better watch I’ve been using it now for a couple months hasn’t lagged anywhere it’s got a larger screen which is also nice, so yeah, I think the Galaxy watches a better buy for sure.
Didn't fix the OS battery life though...
Do you encounter issues with screen scratching?
Use a screen protector. And if you can a case too. I recommend it.

Not really, it just adds some extra data for the app and stuff that you dont really need or that are that useful.
I need everything about sleeping. I am sleeping badly. Do I need subscription for it? Thank you.
How durable is that curved glass??
Depends. If you crash it against a wall the next day🤷🏽♂️

Yeah, if you're into health and fitness, I can't see any other smart watch being anywhere close to Garmin.

thinking of switching my pixel watch for a garmin venue 3 but then ille be losing lte but i really dont use it idk .
GW6 has rather poor sleep tracking and sleep statistics in samsung health app so I chose to keep my Pixel Watch 2. I think the display on my Pixel Watch 2 is a bit on the small side thats why I looked into the GW6 😊
Heart rate and GPS are also much better in the PW2
The title and description is the worst I've ever seen for an android channel....what in the actual hell? Apple watches are everywhere? It's just an Apple Watch, I would argue Android watches are everywhere because it's so many types and you only review the overpriced pixel watch. Why no mention of Samsung or any others?
To me the garmin watches are the best and with the best batteries for Android
Trouble is Samsung has poor HR accuracy, sleep tracking, and worse GPS. Bloatware, as they double up on apps, samsung version of android apps, and only half the stroage memory of the pixel watch and samsung has a crappy processor
Agreed - the Galaxy 6 watch is really bad at tracking floors and sleep, and comes with the annoying Samsung bloatware. The Pixel watch is vastly superior in all these respects. My one wish would be for them to produce a larger version, as the watch does seem tiny on my large wrists. I think the battery life is acceptable as it easily goes for more than 24 hours on a charge.
I have used multiple smart watches and Galaxy Watch 4 is the first one I feel satisfied with. Performance, battery and OS are pretty decent.
I wish more features were integrated when used with Android Devices natively such as syncing DND. Battery life is also something I wish the next model would be better on.
36h of battery life is really not solid... 😕 7days is solid.

I see plenty of Android(samsung) watches here in the states. Galaxy is just as good as any Apple watch.
The battery life on the pixel, Apple and Galaxy watches are garbage.
I have an Apple Watch and the google pixel watch i don’t have anything against google as i have a google pixel phone but i just don’t like the pixel watch compared to my Apple Watch

I wanted to like this watch really.. unfortunately i train more than 12 years now and my hands are not small and neither my forearms... when i put this thing on my wrist it looks like i robbed my wife watch collection . Its so feminine its insane , would never wear this probably because google are playing the Apple game and now they think this look is iconic and good so they will never change it. In really this is probably the best android SMARTWATCH in terms of HR accuracy, but just hell no. Cmon google... im not a g-shock fan or anything ,but im also not 13 years old schoolboy or a female.

Title is reason to give Android watches last chance meanwhile the video content is only about single smartwatch branded watch Google Pixel instead of aggregate review and overview of entire popular android smartwatches from Samsung to Chinese brands like Amazfit, Huawei and Xiaomi what the hell do more research before publishing video instead of making sneaky google pixel watch ad

@@MegaCynar Even if you dismiss all Chinese brands as 'knockoffs' the Pixel watch isn't anywhere as common as the Samsung offerings. The original point about this being little more than a pixel watch ad or review is valid.
