I heard about this when the Ally first came out. I personally never play MP shooters, so I don't care much about this myself, but if I were to weigh in on this, I think it's beyond stupid and unfair to ban people for playing on these devices. PC handhelds have become more integrated into regular consumer tech, and is no longer niche the way it was 4 years ago. It's incredibly out of touch that they haven't implemented a detection system that allows players on Ally and Legion Go to play without a ban, and the least they could do is quickly unban anyone who appeals.
Ugh it happened to me last month and I was upset because I really wanted to play call of duty on my ally. They need to fix this issues without us having to do a go around..
To me, I’ve never been banned. I always plug in the xgmobile and tweak the settings in g helper on turbo and leave as is. Works like a charm. Everything is smooth. I never bump up the tdp during a game unless it’s a single player game. Activision really does suck tho. Being banned like that to me is definitely an activision issue (maybe it’s both but I really like your input)
manual mode have 2 settings. one is for unplugged and one for plugged , so you have to make 2 manual modes using same settings.. one without power plug and one for when power is plugged. also never enable amd anti lag option

I played the mw3 private beta on the ally with no issues and did tons of testing and . I thought it was the tdp changes too but my ally stays plugged in 24-7, esp when gaming or about to game. I never had anti lag enabled either. I always play at 30w manual or 30w turbo because i want to hit 100-120fps at 1080p *which i do* easily with my mods and temps. Temps and fan noise on mine are nothing like stock so my temps at full tdp are around 60-70c
The FTC is a waste of time everyone agrees to their EULA when you make your account and play online they have the right to terminate anyones account for any reason at any time. Time is better spent trying to get this fixed directly from activision.
This isnt true. You are saying they can sell us a game and then immediately ban us from said game for no reason and this is allowed bc of the EULA? So if i sign a contract saying someone can murder me will the law not prosecute them if they do? Fraud is fraud.
I wonder if this is only users running third party software like gyro aiming tools or BFI etc. I could see those coming up as software that looks like cheats could.

There is definitely an advantage using the ally. I ripped off 20 kills straight on battlefield with an inferior weapon with no load out. When I play on Xbox, my record of kills without dying with a fully loaded weapon is around 13 kills straight. We must be honest. This isn't fair on cross-platform games.
So I get more kills on my ps5 then my series x . I play well on my consoles and the Ally there's no truth in your statement other than you had a easier lobby ! I have matches where I get 35 to 20 then the next match I'm 15 for 35 . It's the sbm in mw3 not the hardware of the Ally or PC. Pc players usually have the edge cause of using ethernet hardwire not wifi , compact 28" monitor with 120 to 360 frames, more power period and good old mouse skills . And still a console player can come out on top !

I was playing with a weapon that had no attachment, and I wasn't trying to be tactical in a crowded lobby. There is no way I should have pulled off that streak. Updated info, I'm still having unbelievable streaks on the ally when I play on consoles. My sreaks are significantly less.
mean while im on the pc using an unlock all tool for every cod ever to get any camo i want. Never actual in game hacks strictly skins ( lazy me i know ). I have never recieved a ban . lol
This is my nail in the coffin for the Ally. I will not buy one for this very reason and I guarantee I’m not the only person they need to get this fixed or I could see them getting sued

The solution if you get banned? Charge back. Especially if you used Paypal, very easy process.
Issue with that is in most cases you'll be banned from the storefront you bought it from.
