Really enjoying my new Ally purchase! The screen is absolutely fantastic, especially when you tinker with the settings to optimize each game - I've found that 1080p really crisps up the fonts. As anticipated, the battery life is not its strongest suit but it's something I can live with. One aspect that has stood out to me is how well it connects to a monitor without compromising quality, a definite plus over the SteamDeck from my A/B comparisons so far. I'm hopeful that Asus will soon refine their software and further optimize the drivers, which would elevate this device even further.
I try and make these comparisons on other channels and the steam deck army always comes out in force to try and crucifi me haha. But I am... relieved to have the Ally . All the shortcomings of the Steam Deck are addressed with this. Love hate relationship with Windows but I am mostly happy to have it for the standardized compatibility with all games. I can see alot of people having problems with the system because most people are new to windows pc gaming and this was the ez route, they will learn 😂 I'm playing rpcs3 and I'm blown away by how good the ally can run ps3 games. And playing gtav 🔐 60 1080p 😮😮
Literally the worst narrative around this device right now is "everyone having issues must be new to windows lol". Windows has 75% market share. Statistically most people using the Ally have experienced windows before.
yeah that was me lol bought a msi 75 stealth like 3 years ago just to configure betaflight and emuflight blheli 32 worse experience for about a couple months got the hang of when an issue arose how to fix countless of those before I can even get what needed then I can configure my quads. forget video editing on this lol to much. 4 days straight issue after issue with iss ally microsoft blocking my graphic card freezing in games all sorts of hurdles. best buy was about to claim another ally return. but now got my s.h 2 ending of disc one playing from where I left on the sd which had for three 3 weeks. that only took 2 days to working. all I can say is hang in there newbies learn as go. game on!!!!!
It literally makes playing fps games impossible
😂 I never had problems with mine ever and already had 2 Allys
