Hi sir , how do you analyse a stock and what's your screening process of finding a great sector and stock for the short term as well as long term ?

    Hey utkarsh,
I m more kind of GARP investor. I made fairly large bet on indian IT services in April,2024 for 3-5 years horizon long story short at the end of reasearch there were 3 names infront of me
    1.Coforge
    2.persistent system ltd
    3.LTIM
And i choose LTIM because of
    it was cheaper ,
    LT brand and
DC (CEO) has good track record,
    better roe,roce,opm etc.
But guess what from that level
coforge has given 100% , persistent has given 80% and LTiM is underperforming the sector with only 25% return
    Now my question is
i m regretting like hell that i have made wrong bet
how to overcome this fear and how to choose right company out of its peers

Sir like you always say that we should prefer a good boss over a good company/salary. But the problem is we don't know how our boss will behave with us. Like how can we determine that in a 15 minute interview

Hi Utkarsh, I just completed my CFA L2 in August 2024. I am thinking of appearing for L3 in Feb 2026. I'm thinking of starting to study from March 2025 for L3 ....when I transitioned from L1 to L2 as my basics were bad i struggled a lot..I want to finish L3 in a single attempt .. is there anything I should brush up bw now and March ..before I start classes .. I'm comfortable with Equity ,Eco, Fixed income ..but not as much in pf and derivatives (BSM model) ..I struggled a lot with active pf mgnt and I have forgotten L1 portfolio mgnt.. I am thinking of taking private wealth.

Hi utkarsh, because of bad connectivity could not hear your response to my question. Request to pls answer my query posted below:
i have cleared both parts of FRM and Level 1 of CFA including 4 yrs i worked in merchant banking domain but due to no growth I switched to work at a service-based IT company with an international bank as a client. While the pay is good, the daily IT-related tasks feel frustrating. Should I continue in such roles and transition into product management, leveraging my CFA+FRM credentials? Do these qualifications align with such a profile?

    Hello Utkarsh Sir,
I recently completed my Level 1 exam on Tuesday. Before that, I worked as an equity dealer for a year and left my job in July to prepare for the exam. I have two questions:
    1) My previous salary was 3 LPA plus 1 L in variable incentives. In my upcoming interviews, is it reasonable to request a salary hike based on 4 LPA or should I consider 3 LPA as the base? ( incentives is only mentioned in pay slip )
    2) I took a 3-4 month break for exam preparation. Could you suggest a strong justification for this gap that I can provide during interviews?
