Here are a few tips from a 20 year vending veteran. I use thicker/stronger rated straps to tie down the machines. Buy a pallet jack with shorter forks that are also more narrow to fit better under the machines. I use two 4x4s under the machines so I can easily roll the pallet jack under the machine when moving. I always dread moving day, it's the toughest part of the vending business. Best of Luck!
I concur also coming from a guy who is about a 28-year veteran of vending.....have a drop deck trailer..... look into them.... easy peasy
@@King5150Ed Yep! I have owned a JLG 248 drop deck trailer for moving my machines since I started. It can transport 2 machines at a time plus my pallet jack. Makes life a whole lot easier.

I have a few suggestions turn the glass around so you don't get bugs all over the glass and also use two inch cargo straps the ones you have are not rated for the weight you are moving.. good luck in business....

You can use the trailer. You just need a piece of plywood to sit down so you can wheel it up in there like you did in the storage if it’s easier for you.

Well organised, mate & those sheets of plywood are readily available. Drill a few door lock sized holes into the board so you have finger holes to pick the board up. Also you can chamfer the edge that hits the pavement so you have a smooth run up that ramp.

Any tips. Im looking to buy one but the wife and kids cant help with it. How about renting a truck with a lift gate and a pallet jack. It will be more expensive but is it the headache and backache savings worth it?

I’d be scared to move that soda machine all by myself. Those things can weigh 900lbs. Maybe the little tilts to put it on the pallet jack is not so bad. It’s the putting it on the trailer by myself that scares me. Also taking it down by myself scares me. I think I’ll have my brother and nephew help me at all times when I do this. Moving the machines around should be a sometimes thing anyway when a location is bad and I need a new location.

What's up Wayne! Quick question, do you to buy a certain pallet jack or will any kind be good? I just started my business and have 3 locations. I hire movers for now but want to move my own now
I use any pallet jack. But the best one to use if you god get one is the skinny small one. The one I got is to big and sometimes does not fit in between doors. So I will be getting a dolly. But it’s best to learn to do it yourself save some money in the beginning.

What a frikin disaster. That single person part was an accident waiting to happen, it was damn scary. For a start you were going about it all wrong trying to get the pallet jack under it. You should have had the blocks of wood by the feet on each side then tilted the machine one side at a time to slip the wood under the feet, once that is done on both sides just roll the pallet jack under the machine and lift it up. Getting it up the ramp was another f*ck up. With one person you should have used a winch, even if it was something like a small anchor winch, that way it cannot roll down the ramp of you loose your grip on it and believe me, when a machine on a pallet jack gets some momentum its hard to stop. Also you should have used a ratchet strap to hook onto each side of the handle and run it around the machine to keep it steering straight. As for lifting the pallet jack over the side of the trailer, you looked like you could easily have injured your back doing that. How the hell are you supposed to run a vending business if you injure yourself like that. About 13 people die each year in vending machine accidents and after watching this it's easy to see why.
