    Being a service technician and someone who installs/moves machines on a weekly basis, we move them empty, full, through doors, up truck lifts, ramps, stairs, etc. I've dropped two machines. No fun. This stuff is more dangerous than the average person may think. Imagine dropping a glass front Dixie narco beverage machine, glass side down, in front of a busy Home Depot right in the parking lot. Ha! That was one I learned from. Anyway, thanks for showing this side of vending because it's a reality and these machines get into buildings somehow! Glad you showed this to people.
    Fun fact: more people die each year by being crushed by vending machines than by sharks attacks. At least in the US.

      Thanks for the insight! Luckily, I don't have to move my machines very often...and I haven't dropped one yet (fingers crossed).

      @@HappyVending Many people think you can't do this, and I have never figured this out before, but sometimes, you can look for a 100% intact warning label for vending machines that tells you to not tip or rock them without any flaws whatsoever that is perfectly clean, measure the height (and width) with an index card telling you the details the sticker you're measuring the height (and width) of has or doesn't have on one side, adjust the printing scale to get the height of it to match the height of the regular one on your image, and if it's the correct height, color the sticker in correctly except for the background if the lighting on the image is good, and if you use it on a vending machine without a normal warning sticker either outside or in a laundromat, laminate it, and then use the copy of the sticker as a normal warning sticker on whatever vending machine without a normal variant it would be. When the image is 100% consistent and consistently colored in, and the sticker on the image you copy is the same height (and width), it looks pretty much the same as a random normal one when you ignore the minor background around it after trimming the paper when you finish correctly coloring (and laminating) it. I copied and colored one and then stuck it on an Aquafina. Oddly enough, nobody peeled it off since it looks authentically the same as what they made from the factory.

      I am the one who damaged one of your machines 2-3 months ago. I had been drinking and a selection hung up. So I made a poor choice to strike the machine repeatedly and shake it. I heard a pop and it stopped working.

    Nice video and very professional vending machine move. I'm a 22-year vending veteran and I also have the Anderson Dolly that I use on occasion but mine doesn't have the adjustable height option. I usually move large soda machines with a custom sized pallet jack and put 2 4x4s under the edges to raise it up. Like you said, moving machines can be very dangerous. It's important to have the right moving equipment to do the job safely. Thank you for showing the "other" side of vending, it's not all about pulling money.

I even replace the little tiny LED light that says one dollar for pop I have power to the coin Mac and the dollar bill, but it’s still not except a dollar bill or coins and the little LED light will not light up. Do you have any thoughts? Thanks, Dave.

      What little LED light are you referring to? Is it an exact change or sold out light? Do you have product in the machine? Did you check for any blown fuses? Are the lights coming on int he machine? Does the compressor kick on?

      @@daydaysaint6657 Has the machine ever worked for you? Did you test vend each column using the test motor feature? (I'm assuming it has a test motor feature like royals and dixies). Possibly one of the motor switches is bad. Did you try disconnecting the bill acceptor and only use the coin acceptor? (with power disconnected while doing that). 117 volts is close enough to 120..so that isn't the problem. Check for broken wires on the door.

    Where is OSHA?
    When will you anchor these machines to the wall?

    • @HappyVending
      @HappyVending  23 дні тому

      There is no OSHA regulation requiring vending machines to be mounted to walls. The only time that vending operators mount their machines to the wall is when people shake them to try to get free products. That is not a problem at my location.
