    I use 300blk with the barnes 110gr tac-tx with amazing success. I have taken a few whitetails with it out to 120 yards. I've recovered one of the bullets from a 90 yard kill and it's totally expanded.

    Yes would like to see the comparison from thirty thirty evolution ammo to the three hundred blackout

    Thank you. I have harvested a buck with this 150gr. bullet in a 308 Ruger SFAR @ 70+ Yards. I did recover the very well expanded bullet in the opposite side hide.

    Great review. I’d love to see this cartridge compared to the Barnes 110. Or perhaps whichever round you think performs the best and compare that to the 30-30. Thanks for posting.

    This is the problem with 300blkout they stick bullets that are made to expand at higher velocity in them and expansion usually sucks federal fusion or Barnes 110 tac copper are the only ones I’d trust for hunting

      Yeah I’m with you. I’m a 110-120 grain copper guy in the little 300.

    Wish my state allowed it. Straight wall regs are oppressive & outdated.

      What do you hunt with? 350 Legend? 450 Bushmaster?

      @@Thebiggamehuntingblog I never deer hunted because of that rule & because I just have a regular fridge/ freezer. Im disabled & poor. If I had the money I'd probably pick one of those. I keep my eyes out for a 12ga for cheap. Even if I can someday afford the right tool, I can't afford the tag & wouldn't have a way to store all that meat anyway. All are hopes I aspire for.

    Never hunter deer with my 300 BO but taken quite a few hogs with it and 125 grain Sierra Game kings loaded with H110. Don’t know the velocity , but would be interested in seeing how that bullet performs in gel. Many of the hogs were over 150 pounds, and distance was 50-100 yards. A few coyotes too.

      @Thebiggamehuntingblog  Місяць тому

      Good deal. Sounds like you were happy with how that bullet performed for you on hogs and coyotes?

    I wish there was a +P 300blk. Or is that's not possible? Surely someday using the hybrid case like in the 277 Fury this will be possible.

      Sounds like the 300 HAMR fits the bill for what you want. It is not designed for subsonic performance like the 300 Blackout, but it does better in the supersonic realm.

    Velocity is just a social construct

    This is the set up my 12 year old son uses for hunting. He’s dropped them out to 125 yards no problem his biggest so far 215 lbs 9 point last year which was his first buck he’s killed. The exit hole from this round is as larger than a softball. I like this ammo.

    • @Thebiggamehuntingblog
      @Thebiggamehuntingblog  Місяць тому

      Awesome, thanks for the feedback! Have you recovered any of those bullets? Or have they all exited? What sort of damage do they do to the vitals of deer? And how far have those deer typically run after the shot?

    • @CrenshawMafia7
      @CrenshawMafia7 Місяць тому

      @@Thebiggamehuntingblog Every one so far has been a pass through exit wounds are impressive. Most run about 50-80 yards. Saying this these shots are coming from a 12 year old with buck fever even when the smallest deer come out lol. The big buck he shot last year had the biggest exit wound out of any he’d shot, the right shoulder was basically unattached where it meets the neck area and that deer ran the farthest. He shot him at 70 yards the deer ran over 500 yards crossed a county road with a very steep embankment on both sides but no problem recovering him with the blood trail left. I hunt with a .50 caliber muzzle loader and the exit wounds from the power point are bigger than what the muzzle loader does. He was using the Winchester silver tips but I found these on sale on a website for 10.00 a box last year and stocked up on them no issues with them at all does its job.
