Thank you for such a thorough explanation. I have a 2005 corvette 6 speed manual transmission. I sure would love to tow it but I think they can’t be towed even in neutral. My next car I’ll make sure it’s flat towable.

Hi! We also tow a Fiat 500 in the UK.. crikey if that breaks away from your van with all those cables you've got bigger problems! We use a similar setup but the aframe connects to a tow ball in the back of the RV. Great system but not fully legal across Europe (its a grey area of law) and in Spain/Portugal definitely illegal. Top tip when alone, I prop my phone up and record a video as I cycle through the light check. Safe driving!

My one suggestion for this great instructional video is to place the safety cables below the tow bar. Blue Ox and Roadmaster instructions both state to do so, in order to allow a "basket" that will catch the tow bar, should it become detached from the motor home. This "basket" prevents the tow car from Jackknifing, should the unrestrained tow bar be separated, causing the car to be propelled
suddenly forward.

New to the flat towing and bought a 2012 Fiat sport manual transmission and had a question do you tow with the steering wheel locked or unlocked thank you the video was great

Steering wheel is unlocked and keys are not in the ignition. In fact, I keep them on the dash of the RV for easy access if emergency arises.
