I feed my rainbow bubble tip every weekend. And I've gotten it to split 4x in this year alone.
Sidney Dominguez that's crazy!
It's also worth it financially. On average a rose bubble tip cost anywhere from $35-80. The average bubble tip will also split anywhere from 1-6x per year especially if it is fed meaty protein rich foods (silversides, clam, etc). Selling the clones is a good way to pay the original cost, make some extra cash, and help limit the demand on wild caught anemones. I've sold a few of mine and I will continue to do so in the future.
Great video!
***** yes it is worth it! It's interesting because I don't even feed my anemone and it spilt
feed 'em and they'll split like crazy.
MrKleinReef mine never live past a year
Where did u sell yours ? If u don’t mind me asking
Thanks for the info, Im really interested in a reef tank and would love to add anemones into my tank
There are ways to "skirt" that moving anemone thing. Creating solitary islands, as well as finding big and porous holes in the rock to help them anchor their foot. If they feel secure enough and the light is anywhere near adequate they will hesitate to move from that spot. And usually if they do decide to take a lap around the rock they just end up settling back into the same spot lol
Nice vid man.. Learned all these things with my last tanks. Nems do what they want... Gonna be fish only too until I add my nem... Prolly add couple corals but nothing will be filed until the nem makes its choice... I bet if you turned your light intensity up your nem would move from the top... They like light but not being burned by it... Welcome back man 👌🏾
CJ'S AQUARIUMS I have my blues at around 75% and whites at around 20% so I would think that's already some strong light considering the blue is so high and the light is pretty close to the water surface, and thanks!
As soon as I saw the raiders and a saltwater tank I knew I had to sub! RAAAAIDERSSSSS🏴☠️🏴☠️
Let’s goooo!!! Thanks for the sub my dude!
Thanks for the video. How long do you keep the lights on?
honestly very helpful i plan to get a reef tank in the next few months so this has been informative
Glad the vide was able to help!
finally someone who can say AneMone ! XD
I mess it up every other time lol
I’m new to this hobby I’ve only had my tank set up maybe a month I bought a load of live Rock from eBay and put them into my tank and I went to buy my first fish today but this morning I found a red one in ther iv no Ida If it’s come with the fish all the rock is size of a 10p coin to this video has been very helpful
Get back on the videos bro. You're going to kill it in the hobby, you give great content. I just purchased a pair of lightning maroon clowns
The reason Anemones move to the top is because of the flow more than the light. If it is the light, its due to lack of useful spectrum, not the power or strength. Photosynthesis happens between 100 and 200 par strength, anything stronger than that is useless to corals and anemones.
Very true. I'd say it thrives more in flow than light.
Great video drizzy. i just got a flower rock anemone which is cool but i definitely want a bubble tip next.
mmtorres26 yea man, bubble tips are super nice!! Favorite anemone!
After 2 months and 2 clownfish I will be buying my first one this weekend !!!
The intro music brought back so many memories
Frfr
good video thinking now I need to change my lighting and better flow now / What size tank is that and do you run a sump for filtration and add water volume?
very helpful info I think I will for sure be getting one as the first thinks I put in my tank ......Very new just getting tank drilled this week and the setting up to get cycle started I cant wait....so happy ....gana have a 75g tank ....will watch many more of ur vids
Glad I can help! I hope all goes well with your tank! Im here if you have any questions
Great video, how much is your max intensity of your kessil light? mine is 70% max for 2 hours.
Dude your tank is beautiful
I have an anemone for a month and it didn't find a place, still moving and now it appears to be a ball and not opening, could it be dead.
Hey I have a question do they need a full spectrum light ??? I have a very bright white and red light no blue 😢
i know its an old video but, what are the corals in your tank?
very helpful information I will be sure to consider it be for buying an anemone
Nice vid. Is this a JBJ? What size tank is this?
That's great information right there.
NYCity Cichlids thanks dude, hope it helped!
So I’m thinking on buying a long tentacle anemone but I’m scared my tiny clown fish can get eaten by anemone. What anemone would you recommend for a small clown fish.
Well what kind of clown is it?? Certain clownfish prefer certain anemones. I have a couple videos on that subject also
FishyDrizzy ocellaris clownfish
I've never had any pet before and very recently I've been so interested in corals and fish.
Well good! We all started with just a simple interest!
you could buy a coral that look like anemone
apdroid geek yeah torch coral
What filter are you running? And what size tank is that? Do you use ro water? Sorry for all the ?s lol
The filter that's already built in the back. Yes I use RO water that I get my from local fish store
When should I put an anemone in my tank? My tank has been up for 4 months. Water test reveal everything to be perfect other than my alk but I started to dose it and it’s where it needs to be. Any tips on when to add it. I only have a gsp that has took over a rock, 2 snowflakes clowns, 6 snails, 4 crabs
Do you have a strong enough light to support a anemone?
Great advice, I am looking forward to getting my tank setup and eventually adding an anemone and clowns. It’s the entire reason I want a saltwater tank. Did not know to look for what type of clowns go with different anemones. Thanks
Thanks for sharing, liked the video.
I am a freshwater hobbyist thinking of adding a saltwater tank. I've heard clownfish are easier to start out with. It would like to make he environment as natural as possible so was thinking of adding a couple anemones. I have a few questions though if anyone knows: can different types of clownfish cohabitate a tank and is there a problem with putting, for example, 2 or 3 anemones of different varieties in one tank. I'm more worried about the anemones to be honest. It would probably be a purely clownfish/anemone tank. Please let me know! I'm a saltwater noob.
Hey thanks for the questions! Different types of clowns can't be in the tank together unless the take is HUGE. Have no more than two clowns of the same species. To start I recommend having true or false percula clowns. As for the anemones I suggest letting your tank mature before adding any anemones. When having an anemone you MUST have great lighting because that's their main food source. When the time does come to add an anemone make sure you match the clown with the anemone it prefers. Different clowns prefer certain anemones
FishyDrizzy Thanks for the recommendations. You're very knowledgeable!
Of course! Always here if you have more questions!
Hydra Works I realize they aren't necessary but I do think it's nice to try to provide an environment that's as natural as possible. I'm just a little concerned that anemones are too hard to keep
Girl in Rouge don't buy a clownfish as your first fish, they are very aggressive and will not be scared to attack any new fish you buy
i have a 165 watt led Chinese box how much should i turn up the whites and blues ?
Well it depends on your tank size. I always have my blue up a little more than my whites
ok thanks for the feed back
I know this is a little old but, did you buy the galaxy hydro 165w by any chance?
My clown fish are hosting hammerhead world just got a white rose have Anemone I put them kind of l Close to each other to see if. The clown fish well host the anemone What do you think
My anemone does not move and it clinches up when my light is on only opens with no lights on. I have a t5 10k and blue light do you know why this is
nice tank what all live stock do u have in that tank
Legendary song
BNN many that I have is a bubbles have white with tips of rose supposedly is Not bleached what do you think
How do you do water changes with the anemone that high up in the tank? If anyone sees this please lmk.
Austin hey good question! Once the water level went below the anemone, every couple minutes I would get a cup and pour water over it to keep it wet. I never let it dry up. The method of always putting water over it worked well and I never had trouble with it. Hope that answered your question!
@@FishyDrizzy Wow that's crazy you replied so fast from a video from so long ago. Thank you though! that answered my question for sure. nice vid!
@@FishyDrizzy hey man just a quick question. What lights do you use? Oh and also where did you get your anemone? Thanks!
@@jnicholls8146 it's a Kessil brand light, they're really high quality. I can't tell you the exact model he has but the models come with lighting parameters should be easy to match one to you're system. Hope this helped
so.. i decided to feed my nem ( im really afraid of feeding it because i dont want it to grow big and spread..) anyway.. i dip the food in ro water but with a catch... i put iodine on the ro water and soak the food for 30 mins so the food can absorb the iodine but im not really sure about it.. did i just poisoned my anemone..? or it didnt really affect it..
I have a 38 gallon with a aqueon led light strip. Do you think this will work well?
Lol no
Is a 14 Kelvin LED light good enough for the anemone?
Can I add a sea anemone in my 45 gallon tank early
Heather Staker you want to make sure your tank is fully cycled AND have the necessary light for your anemone. You need strong lighting
Thanks for the info!
Do you leave tank lights on all the time? Just got my anemone yesterday.
No no, I leave mine on for 8 hours a day. I have my light on a timer
FishyDrizzy oh ok. We have had our lights on most of the day then off at night. We have a timer so I will work on that. Thanks
FishyDrizzy can they get too much light ?
So you got your first one when you were ten?
Can they be with starfish or no?
T-5 lights good ? I have 4 lights in a 55gal
Jonny Escobar yes, you're good! :)
They are my favorite coral
They aren’t technically corals, but more so inverts
You forgot to say anonome hunts some types of fish and eats them except clown fish
Do you keep your light on 24/7? also when you change your water, i would assume your anemone gets exposed to the air? is that a problem? i'll sub if you respond. thanks
No, my light is on 7 hours a day. Yes, when I change my water my anemone gets exposed to air but I always make sure it stays wet. When Im doing my water changes I always pour tank water on it with a cup I keep on the side. I have never had issues with my anemone when doing water changes.
Thanks for watching!!
great video!!!
Good information!!
Dope channel what r the songs played I’ll subscribe rn
Do you need a clownfish for an amenome?
Nope. Some people just have an anemone for the looks. Personally, I wouldn't only have a nem and no clowns
Apik joooon anemone
Do you think anemones are really plants or animals?
- Chuan
Great video keep it up
So my corals are living things?
Yup, living organisms
Can corals or anemones hurt/ burn skin?
idk anemones can sting u tho
You look like a young version of me.
u wish nigga
Can i handle anemone with barebhnds?
Insomniac yes
Insomniac just not carpets. At don’t let the back of your hand or your forearm touch the tentacles. Skin is thinner there
Lol no it stings
The intro tho
How do you feed em
You can spot feed it with a syringe if you want to speed up its growth. If not, it’ll get most of its “food” from the light.
Is that sand covered in ciano?
Yeah, during that time i had a bad breakout but soon got rid of it, thank god
FishyDrizzy how did you go about getting rid of it?
Ai prime HD okay??
yes!
The anemone hosts the fish. Not the other way around.
My name is Anemone...Seriously!!!
no its edvard lazeta
light for algae on anemone not its growth
I can never finish this video.

Thats right!
You got a serious cyano problem in there...
Have you ever used this lighting for your aquarium and is it good Current USA Orbit Marine Aquarium... www.amazon.com/dp/B00GFTNG3S?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
You mean “an anemone”
the music is very distracting , hard to pay attention
I know, sorry. Back when I made this video I didn't realize it
i don't mind the music keep up the good work
u handsome..love u..😂
Can I keep a LTA in a 14gallon biocube
