I appreciate the lesson. I have to play this tomorrow at church. As a guitar player, modern Gospel is disappointing to me. It is all major key and very formulaic. Give me the old bluesy Gospel, or just R&B, Jazz, and Blues in general.... Anyway, just my opinion. I do appreciate you taking the time to break this song down. I am trying to lend my skills to the church but I find myself wanting to get back to Hendrix, James Brown, Miles Davis, etc.
no prob bro and those are some good roots. alot of gospel music have james brown miles davis types progressions. once you start to hear them more ull be able to incorporate what you learned from that into church, if you havent already!
