I think a few 50 dollar X-Men sets would be cool idea, I can see a set with Omega Red and Sabertooth vs Wolverine (This set would have Omega Red and Sabertooth in a two seat Madmax looking dune buggy chasing down a Wolverine while he's on a motorbike). And another set idea would have Nightcrawler and Cable vs Juggernaut and Deadpool (The Juggernaut set would be kinda like the old hulk buster set from 2014)
Wolverine isn't taking up any space here, it doesn't cost them anything to throw him in. But ya, Storm unfortunately they created a new face for her which could've gone elsewhere :/

something that really annoys me about Lego X-Men is the lack of villains. How come we only have a few variants of Magneto and no Mystique or Sabertooth

Honestly, I could forgive the minifigure selection/quality if the set was worth it, but it just isn’t. It's simply far too small for what the building is supposed to represent and the price they're asking. No way this set is only worth $20 less than the Daily Bugle. For that price, it needed an extra floor at minimum.
This set could have been done like the build a castle from potter. A room to add in, a mutant and a villain for the room. Could have built a mansion and roster. They could have a whole 3 years of X-men sets to complete the large roster and large mansion
The Prof X torso is so weird because it's not like they don't have any green suit torsos that they couldn't reuse. Pretty sure they had one in that weird BTS set.
I’m hoping that the success of this set will lead to doing a whole line of X-Men sets cause there are SO MANY iconic X-men heroes and Villains. Like one set a a construction site with steel beams and Juggernaut and Colossus. Some sets of just new rooms for the mansion. From the looks of it it seems you can customize it like with the Hall of Armor and give it more height. The rooms could come with one hero and one villain. Like mystique and night crawler. Shadow cat and Emma Frost. Angel and Toad
In my opinion if you add two things to it then it would be so much better 1st make it two base plates that mean that they could bring it further out with enough space to pose all the X men which is one of the reasons they made the lawn so big 2nd make it taller it wouldn’t have to be much just to the natural history museums size something closer to the sanctum Sanctorum. Lego this could have been so much better
I agree but honestly I'm just grateful they made an X Mansion Lego set although some more minifigures should have been included in this set. Hopefully they make more X men sets with more mini figs.
If we eventually get Madelyne then we also have to get Emma and Mr Sinister Don’t know how they’d do Sinister’s cape, but the one from the Lady of Pain might work well for it

Like you could make a Moria MacTaggert with pre existing pieces same for people like Bolivar Trask or hell even William Sticker both those 2 add more villains to the set and William played a weirdly big role in the xmen movies chuck them in with reused parts

This truly is an incredible set, and I think with some tweaks, it could be a truly incredible one. I can’t wait to play around with it and expand it, etc.
So being aware of the behind the scenes stuff with why there’s been a drought of X-men stuff up until a few years ago, I’m just happy we got anything. I agree more figs would’ve been nice, either brotherhood or X-men, but I’ll take anything I can get. I must admit you’ve got me thinking about buying parts to make a third floor. The only thing I really want is that sentinel sold separately, I want like 3 of them for the X-men to take down.
What lego can do is a battle pack sort build, giving us either a room or a sentinel build with some extra minifigs (ex. A sentinel with jubilee or nightcrawler for 20$)
I wish we got more xmen in the xmansion but I'm very happy with the xmen we did get I plan on adding my purist customs of night crawler and dazzler and havok and angel
It can be really frustrating when it comes to minifigs for these Marvel sets (Star Wars as well) They just either reuse the same figures over and over again with no real variety or they just skip over characters that need to be included. I do also agree that there should have been another floor to this place. If they could include 31 figs with the tower, why just 11 (I think) with this one? Nice video.

so glad we got wolverine for the 8th or 9th time and magneto, cyclops and storm for like the 5th time. so glad we got more of them and not juggernaut, mystique, sabretooth, colossus, etc
Dual molded legs on Cyclops, Wolverine, Gambit, Magneto, Bishop and Rogue would have gone a long way toward making the set more appealing, as well as appropriate hip pieces to denote that Cyclops and Magneto are wearing trunks. I do agree though that the mansion itself should be at least taller or wider, if not both.
We have a pretty healthy amount of X Men at this point. Now I just Mystique and other villains more than anything. A Mystique fig in comic accurate costume would be the sickest thing ever just like the Fortnite version
The amount of people voicing their disappointment with this set is crazy to me. I never thought this set would happen and I am nothing but happy with it. Gambit is my favorite superhero of all time and I had given up hope about him appearing in Lego. I think we should just be happy the set has been made in the first place and if it sells well then Lego will probably do more x-men sets
Just because we get a set or minifigure we've wanted for a long time doesn't meant we have to be fully satisfied with it. There's nothing wrong with wishing things could be different. Especially considering the price and comparing this to similarly priced and sized sets

I think this is one of those things where I'm both happy and sad with what we got, as someone who owns the original x jet and the magneto helicopter I dont need another deadpool but nightcrawler shadowcat and colossus would complete the 80s team. I think my biggest issue is this is too connected to the animated series. really would have liked some movie touches like an all black leather outfit for wolverine making him unique rather than another yellow tiger stripe. the blue Michael Scott suit is a nice nod to the comics version of xavier who was known to wear a blue suit (green was more his younger self with the sleeveless shirt) but rogue could have been in her original green outfit with the short hair they have most of the parts to make it already with lloyd. the original leak had this as a façade with emma frost sabertooth and mystique I think emma would be who I would want added because like punisher a set like this is one of the few ways we would get her regular white queen outfit. as for the build itself another floor would have been great but personally i would have wanted it to open up like the home alone set. I'm not a fan of having to take apart modular buildings to access the interiors the bugle with the removable windows was perfect in my eyes

The X Mansion is just that, a mansion. It should have been bigger. Also, having a back alley is a questionable decision. The mansion is not in the city. It's a private estate/school outside the city. On the missing characters, I agree on the ones you mentioned. 4 of 5 original X-Men are there but not Angel. That's a big miss. Nightcrawler, Jubilee and Colossus are too. Other missing X-Men include Havok (Cyclops' brother), Banshee, and Kitty Pryde (aka Shadowcat).
Going with your idea of the black costume for Storm, I think LEGO could have made an updated/recreation of the [spoiler] yellow and brown suit design from the ‘97 revival
If we got beast in his lab coat would be a much more fun variant. But if we do get a single sentinel release it should have wolverine, colossus for fastball special and jubilee and maybe two other characters just no bleeding inbetween sets
I agree. A third story would have been amazing. Jubilee and Morph, as well as, a couple more villains would have been cool. I hate how skinny the set is. The side view makes the set look so so small. With these inclusions, would I pay 400+ dollars for it? Yes. Would others? I don't think this set is going to be the hit they hoped it would be.
Again, the set was probably in a near complete state for years, originally intended as a more comics-based set before getting shelved for a while, and a new mold for Jubilee wasn't in the budget as a result of the hasty revival. But rest assured that Jubilee, and many other X-Men characters are most defiantly on the way! With X-Men being what's keeping interest in Marvel alive at the moment, do you really think we won't see more X-Men sets?!? It's too profitable to not do so! As for how to bring in some of the characters, a few ideas I have: Unless they plan on making a tail with a clip to hold a cutlass, all the parts for Nightcrawler should already exist. A torso akin to Dr. Eggman's might be an option for Blob. Toy Story/Avatar limbs combined with a new shoulder armor piece would obviously be how to do Apocalypse. And Mojo would be absurdly overpriced because of all his new parts.
Well hopefully someone makes a rebrickable moc that fixes and adds more to the mansion and we get more X-men sets that have different and exclusive variants of other characters like saber tooth morph Emma frost mystic jubilee colossus night crawler and a lot more :D
The only thing that really makes these big sets worth it is the minis, a great selection that covers most all of the bases. My favorite CMF is the Muppets for instance, but the only down side is there are so many other great characters that were not covered and who knows if and when would ever make a 2nd in the series. Its the same here.. If I were to want to get this I would at least need to know there was some way to get a good collection of minis, but with al the reuse and expensive sets it leaves a want for the big ones to cover everything and be even more expensive if necessary. If 500$ price tag fixed all the major issues I had with it I would be tempted by it, but since its been cut back too much I can easily pass and await the next castle piece. (not bricklink) this would be fun for many to enjoy though.
Every Marvel modular that comes out makes me wish they could sneak a Stan Lee reference in somehow, but I've had an epiphany. If the Baxter Building is the next Marvel modular, what are the odds they sneak a Stan Lee minifig in by having him be Willie Lumpkin?
What if you buy four X mansions and then I’ll combine them to make one super one and then that will allow you to add a bunch of extra rooms that they did not include and have four sentinels
This is for DC but I know Lego will copy stuff or take inspiration from the comics for their sets or ideas they could copy something from abosulte batman. The Batmobile that's a dumptruck in absolute batman it seems like is actually right up legos alley a Batman theme Vechile that's big and will cost over $50 knowing them and just those in a Lego batman and joker and call it a day.
What I don’t think that people understand is that yes, the set should be bigger, but it’s a house. Not a skyscraper, a house Also I hope they do another set for the mansion like how they did for the Spider-Man no way home Statue of Liberty battle

Don’t understand why Deadpool is asked for so much. This set is about the x mansion and the xmen which Deadpool is not a core member of. He’s got his own team x-factor. He also has already previously existed so let’s focus on core Xmen characters that would have been nice to have that don’t exist, like the jubilee and colossus. Only wish I had was that the sentinel was built like the old antman from civil war set. Big minifig sentinel would be awesome

I like Ash. One of my favorite Lego review channels and I mean no offense, but I’m genuinely surprised this undersized overpriced half-baked set is getting any praise at all. I can usually see past a few flaws or accept the inflated price tags we typically see, but there are far too many negatives here to just accept what TLG is offering up for $330. No hate to anyone who’s excited for this and it’s all good if you disagree. I understand. I’ve wanted a proper X-mansion since 2012 and it’s great to finally get some of these minifigures, but that’s simply not enough to feel good about what they’ve done here.
I think the house makes the avengers tower and the daily bugle look like giant towers like there supposed to be, however it is definitely very small for a modular piece
Honestly, having seen the figures up-close in-hand, I am disappointed and deterred. I will probably still buy the set but I will wait a while for this one. Not a single dual-molded leg. Gambit needed that. How could they have such a disparity between Fortnite and even their own new LEGO special?? Also, Beast in a lab coat was a must have but we got a 3rd Wolverine that’s still worse than the CMF version.
i just wish we had jubilee, morph, sunspot, beast, and mister sinister. other than that i am fine with the set, and tbh you guys are complaining too much, no offense

Deeper and wider! The centre is perfectly wide, the hallways and west and east wings should be a couple studs wider each and the entire build should be at the very least 2 studs deeper, preferably 4
I feel like there should have been a deadpool 2x2 picture frame for wolverine to hold in bed, because wolverine and magneto were in the first xmen set ever and the only charecter not from that set here is deadpool

Angel/Archangel, Jubilee, Psylocke, Cable, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Shadowcat, Mystique, Juggernaut, Emma Frost. For the secundaries: Sunspot, Morph, Dazzler, Cannonball, Havok, Polaris, Forge, Banshee.

Patrick Stewart’s Xavier often had a blue suit. It’s not that weird. I get it, but Patrick Stewart will always be my Xavier anyways.
And the one time when Patrick Stewart was in the big yellow wheelchair he wore a dark green suit
2025 set idea... Sentinel on it's own. Minifigs: Jubilee, Nightcrawler and (sigh) Wolverine I guess.
Wish they added some food containers with a Wade sticker on top just like in Deadpool 2
I think this is one of those things where I'm both happy and sad with what we got, as someone who owns the original x jet and the magneto helicopter I dont need another deadpool but nightcrawler shadowcat and colossus would complete the 80s team. I think my biggest issue is this is too connected to the animated series. really would have liked some movie touches like an all black leather outfit for wolverine making him unique rather than another yellow tiger stripe. the blue Michael Scott suit is a nice nod to the comics version of xavier who was known to wear a blue suit (green was more his younger self with the sleeveless shirt) but rogue could have been in her original green outfit with the short hair they have most of the parts to make it already with lloyd.
the original leak had this as a façade with emma frost sabertooth and mystique I think emma would be who I would want added because like punisher a set like this is one of the few ways we would get her regular white queen outfit.
as for the build itself another floor would have been great but personally i would have wanted it to open up like the home alone set. I'm not a fan of having to take apart modular buildings to access the interiors the bugle with the removable windows was perfect in my eyes

The X Mansion is just that, a mansion. It should have been bigger. Also, having a back alley is a questionable decision. The mansion is not in the city. It's a private estate/school outside the city. On the missing characters, I agree on the ones you mentioned. 4 of 5 original X-Men are there but not Angel. That's a big miss. Nightcrawler, Jubilee and Colossus are too. Other missing X-Men include Havok (Cyclops' brother), Banshee, and Kitty Pryde (aka Shadowcat).
Going with your idea of the black costume for Storm, I think LEGO could have made an updated/recreation of the [spoiler] yellow and brown suit design from the ‘97 revival

If we got beast in his lab coat would be a much more fun variant. But if we do get a single sentinel release it should have wolverine, colossus for fastball special and jubilee and maybe two other characters just no bleeding inbetween sets

I agree. A third story would have been amazing. Jubilee and Morph, as well as, a couple more villains would have been cool. I hate how skinny the set is. The side view makes the set look so so small. With these inclusions, would I pay 400+ dollars for it? Yes. Would others? I don't think this set is going to be the hit they hoped it would be.

bro i just played Lego Ninjago SDH 4 and a half hours long i love this game i can recommand it :) and the X-Mansion is great
Again, the set was probably in a near complete state for years, originally intended as a more comics-based set before getting shelved for a while, and a new mold for Jubilee wasn't in the budget as a result of the hasty revival. But rest assured that Jubilee, and many other X-Men characters are most defiantly on the way! With X-Men being what's keeping interest in Marvel alive at the moment, do you really think we won't see more X-Men sets?!? It's too profitable to not do so!
As for how to bring in some of the characters, a few ideas I have: Unless they plan on making a tail with a clip to hold a cutlass, all the parts for Nightcrawler should already exist. A torso akin to Dr. Eggman's might be an option for Blob. Toy Story/Avatar limbs combined with a new shoulder armor piece would obviously be how to do Apocalypse. And Mojo would be absurdly overpriced because of all his new parts.
I thought i was the only one that was expecting Colossus and Juggernaut to be in the set
Well hopefully someone makes a rebrickable moc that fixes and adds more to the mansion and we get more X-men sets that have different and exclusive variants of other characters like saber tooth morph Emma frost mystic jubilee colossus night crawler and a lot more :D
The only thing that really makes these big sets worth it is the minis, a great selection that covers most all of the bases. My favorite CMF is the Muppets for instance, but the only down side is there are so many other great characters that were not covered and who knows if and when would ever make a 2nd in the series. Its the same here.. If I were to want to get this I would at least need to know there was some way to get a good collection of minis, but with al the reuse and expensive sets it leaves a want for the big ones to cover everything and be even more expensive if necessary. If 500$ price tag fixed all the major issues I had with it I would be tempted by it, but since its been cut back too much I can easily pass and await the next castle piece. (not bricklink) this would be fun for many to enjoy though.
I wish we got Magik, Kitty Pryde, and Angel.

Every Marvel modular that comes out makes me wish they could sneak a Stan Lee reference in somehow, but I've had an epiphany. If the Baxter Building is the next Marvel modular, what are the odds they sneak a Stan Lee minifig in by having him be Willie Lumpkin?

What if you buy four X mansions and then I’ll combine them to make one super one and then that will allow you to add a bunch of extra rooms that they did not include and have four sentinels

This is for DC but I know Lego will copy stuff or take inspiration from the comics for their sets or ideas they could copy something from abosulte batman. The Batmobile that's a dumptruck in absolute batman it seems like is actually right up legos alley a Batman theme Vechile that's big and will cost over $50 knowing them and just those in a Lego batman and joker and call it a day.

Don’t understand why Deadpool is asked for so much. This set is about the x mansion and the xmen which Deadpool is not a core member of. He’s got his own team x-factor. He also has already previously existed so let’s focus on core Xmen characters that would have been nice to have that don’t exist, like the jubilee and colossus.
Only wish I had was that the sentinel was built like the old antman from civil war set. Big minifig sentinel would be awesome

I do feel as though the set is a little underwhelming for sure. I hadnt realized its smaller than the other museum set.
I want a juggernaut big fig. I kno it wouldn’t make sense in this set.

I like Ash. One of my favorite Lego review channels and I mean no offense, but I’m genuinely surprised this undersized overpriced half-baked set is getting any praise at all. I can usually see past a few flaws or accept the inflated price tags we typically see, but there are far too many negatives here to just accept what TLG is offering up for $330.
No hate to anyone who’s excited for this and it’s all good if you disagree. I understand. I’ve wanted a proper X-mansion since 2012 and it’s great to finally get some of these minifigures, but that’s simply not enough to feel good about what they’ve done here.

I think the house makes the avengers tower and the daily bugle look like giant towers like there supposed to be, however it is definitely very small for a modular piece

The centre is perfectly wide, the hallways and west and east wings should be a couple studs wider each and the entire build should be at the very least 2 studs deeper, preferably 4

I feel like there should have been a deadpool 2x2 picture frame for wolverine to hold in bed, because wolverine and magneto were in the first xmen set ever and the only charecter not from that set here is deadpool
