They did an update to the app that now allows you to choose how long the screen will stay on. Now you can choose if stays on for 30 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, or stay on indefinitely.

10:28 FYI: this power station IS expandable (via the solar input socket). From Bluetti's website: "Get your AC180 charged via expansion batteries - B80 (806Wh), B230 (2048Wh), and B300 (3072Wh) - to ensure a continuous power source of up to 4,224Wh, which is sufficient to last your outdoor fun even longer."

@jamesbass5. I'm a complete newbie myself, but there are several videos on UA-cam of people demonstrating this. It does require a little bit of DIY. I don't understand it myself, but it's nothing I don't think I couldn't figure out in a few hours if I really buckled down and paid attention. You should be able to figure it out with our too much trouble. It would be nice if someone came along with a pre made adapter though.

This unit really hits the mark, in my opinion, because it is definitely a "powered portable solar" product. So many of the power stations are either too small to be useful for anything more than camping or recharging small devices, while others have gotten so big they are not truly "portable" anymore. There are relatively few offerings in this market that are portable while still having a large enough inverter output (and solar input) to be useful. This product, along with the EF Delta 2, are products consumers can really use during a relatively short emergency situation. I would also mention that you can charge both of those units safely and easily using a 24v lithium iron-phosphate battery, so even though the AC180 doesn't have an expansion battery option, it isn't difficult to get more run-time from this unit.

Car charging option is great for truck drivers, 10 to 13 hours of driving in a day gets any battery bank up to full. I have the EB150 and that doesn't allow car charging as the minimum input starts at 18v. Wasn't much of a problem with an AC inverter with the truck running, but the truck's batteries suffered by not receiving a full charge rate from the engine's alternator. Car charging is maxed to 20amps, however most car 12v ports are rated at 15amps and with the truck alternator pumping out 170amps, that leaves 155amps to rest of the truck batteries plus whatever accessories or power uses needed to keep the engine running. Today's emission standards have ruined trucking diesel's idling capabilities, where-in idling will cause more harm to the exhaust filters / treatment systems than the motor itself. Not having to idle the truck to boil water or warm up a precooked meal in the microwave oven is a huge boon to the trucking industry and will save company owners millions in aftertreatment maintenance work. This is what the electric revolution should have of focused their efforts on, instead of electrifying cars. Reducing truck driver idling will be far more beneficial than electrifying every passenger vehicle being used to move people. 1 truck idling for 8 hours uses 20 Liters of diesel, times that by 3 million trucks in North America...

The original price was $1000, so yes, 20% did come off, and all the promoters have been given an extra $20 coupon. I have the AC200P and 4 of the 200watt panels and the b230 battery a never had a bit of trouble with mine and have actually used mine. Probably more than the typical.
If I were you I would have reached back out to try an having got a different rep than that one. Of it took over a couple weeks to deal with. That definitely wasn’t the rep to be dealing with

Can you cover this as a topic?
The BLUETTI device has a MAJOR security vulnerability. The bluetooth is always enabled when the device is powered on and it is not secured by any authentication or prompt on the device. There is also no way to disable the bluetooth. This means that anyone can connect to the device using the app via the bluetooth interface and control the power station (turn on/off power). This becomes a vulnerability in that critical systems can be turned off, systems that are required for animals (automated feeding systems, fish tank aerators) can be affected putting the wellbeing and life of animals at risk, and at worst, any medical devices can be turned off with a risk to human life.

Bluetti announced a couple of days ago that this unit will now work with the expandable batteries B230
and the B300...All you need is the P090D to DC7909 cable, and you're good to go.

All of these companies are just like that though. I believe the companies grew faster than the customer service side of things. It’s slow dealing with responses from Bluetti. But I’ve had the same slowness with ecoflow also. A they’re bigger than some of the other companies. So I’m sure theirs is somewhat similar as far as customer service and what not. Until they find their balance and stride to produce new tested products and be able to handle customer service.

The AC180P has the bigger 1440wh Battery, Don't know why you would do a review without Learning the machine first, If you had checked out the App Properly you would of known that you can turn the screen on 24/7 if you wanted to.

You know what's the difference between channels like this one and Bob Wells over at cheapRVLiving? Bob doesn't keep the stuff that Bluetti and others send him (and many times he actually buys what he reviews) he donates the stuff to people that needs and can use them! He doesn't stack it all up on a shelf to brag about and show how important he is.
When I come across channels like this I simply give it a thumbs down and then go back to the main screen and click on "Do not recommend" and move on to more honest and interesting channels...

First of all theres no such thing as a solar generator. Its nothing but a hugh battery and inverter run by a computer. They have tons of issues. The computer glitchs, the unit has to be shut down and reset to get them running again. Solar is way too slow to keep up with the discharge rate. When it runs down your done. The batteries have a life span of a few years. The price you will pay for new one will almost equal the cost of the unit plus disposal cost. You will never save any money with this thing compared to a real generator. They have error codes that pop up that disable the unit, then get out the manual. Complicated control panels. You will waste alot of money and have all kinds of techincal issues when you could have bought a super reliable honda super quiet generator and just keep it full. Will run forever. If theres a storm you cant even attempt to use the solar panels. It will let you down. And SUPER expensive. Just another high tech gadget to take your money. Keep it simple, keeps it reliable.

You’re obviously not really familiar with them at all. An why people buy them. I also have the eu2000 Honda an a few larger diesel generators.
But these with what the market named them solar generator. Ofcourse they’re not a generator. No kidding. But they fit a niche that even the small Honda can’t.
If you can’t figure out what niche they would be great for. Obviously you clearly haven’t a use for them. An aren’t in the niche of people that does have them. I have the one shown here an another that holds a few times the juice as this one.
Neither has ever gave me a single issue. And matter fact after one of the storms it powered a window unit a fridge around the clock an a lil light. Due to having enough battery capacity and I’m able to bring in twice the juice that window unit consumed.
So no fuel for the he needed and had ac the few days power was gone.
But neither of mine gave me any issues.
Prior to having the battery capacity I have now. After about 10 hours I was using my small Honda just to quickly top the system back off and was able to shut it off and run off the quiet no noise of battery.
But when one buys one. You buy one that’s got enough capacity and can bring in more than your using. And it can pretty much run indefinitely. Long as you don’t hit a long period of rain/clouds.
But I didn’t really buy mine for storms. Though I use it than also. But bought it for places that don’t allow generators for one reason or another to be running. And for that. Theirs nothing else that could fill that gap.
But if the system is big enough. Theirs whole home systems that people run their entire homes etc.
so ya can’t really knock it. Being it does work.
And if you aren’t in the niche that needs it for one reason or another. A pick a system of build a system and know how to work a live in it’s limitations. Than yeah solar definitely isn’t for you.
